Crime, my friends, does pay. Just ask Nancy “Marie Antoinette” Palsi. She appeared on the Late Late Show
with tubby no talent James Corden to discuss how she’s coping during this
global pandemic.
She was posing in front of her two luxury stainless steel fridges
with her preppie-style sweater draped over her shoulders as she and Corden
chatted blissfully about how she’s living her best life gorging on gourmet chocolate
candies and $12-a-pint gourmet chocolate ice cream while unemployed Americans
are suffering.
Nancy had the appearance of a very old hooker who had finally
found her place in life.
Yes, I loathe her.
We all have found our ways to keep our spirits up during these trying times. Mine just happens to fill up my freezer. #LateLateShowpic.twitter.com/dqA32d5lU1
House Democrats and the
White House fell short of sealing a deal providing economic help to the victims
of the devastating coronavirus.
Nancy Pelosi said
Thursday night an agreement is all but assured today.
"It's fair to say
we're close to an agreement, subject to the exchange of paper, and hope to have
an agreement tomorrow," she told reporters just outside her office in the
Capitol.
Honest to God,
listening to this stuttering clusterfuck should cement in any rational mind
this old crone should sit down and shut the eff up.She reminds me of the old cartoons of Porky Pigsaying, “Tha, tha, that’s all folks!”
James Carville, the guy
who’s uglier than a mud fence and a former political strategist for Bubba
Clinton, told MSDNC the Democrats are “flirting with disaster”.
At Next Year's
State Of The Union, Nancy Pelosi Is Going To Be In The Bleacher Seats
Sen. Marsha
Blackburn (R-TN), who serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Armed
Services Committee, Veterans’ Affairs Committee and the Commerce, Science and
Transportation Committee, said on Wednesday the four Democrat senators running
for president should recuse themselves from taking part in President Trump's
impeachment trial.
In a statement
Blackburn said, “Tomorrow, one hundred United States Senators will be sworn in
to serve in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Four of those senators must recuse themselves
for their unparalleled political interest in seeing this President removed from
office. Senators Bernie Sanders, Amy
Klobuchar, Michael Bennet and Elizabeth cannot sit in judgment of the very
President they seek to replace.”
Article II of the Constitution stipulates “no impeached President
can be removed unless two-thirds of senators agree and when sitting for an
impeachment trial they shall be on Oath or Affirmation.”
The oath is separate from the one they take when they are sworn
into office. The Rule XXV oath
reads: “I solemnly swear or affirm that
in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of President Donald
John Trump, now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the
Constitution and laws; So help me God.”
Every senator is required
to commit to do impartial justice on pain of perjury.
Blackburn’s point should not be lost on anyone.
During yesterday’s Engrossment Ceremony, Nancy Pelosi said, “And so, with that, I
will sign the Resolution transmitting the Articles of Impeachment to the
Senate, which will be delivered by our Managers, of whom I’m very proud. When they bring it over to set in motion a
process on the Senate side—probably tomorrow, and I don’t know their schedule—but
it may be as soon as tomorrow, and the Senators will take an oath of
office. They will take a special oath of
office to do impartial justice according to the Constitution and the laws. Let’s hope that they uphold that oath that
they take tomorrow.”
Sen. Klobuchar has stated
she’s likely to vote in favor of removing the President from office. “I’ve said from the beginning, I see this as
impeachable conduct.”
Sen. Sanders is perpetually bellicose with remarks like
this one. “And the truth is, Trump
is not just a pathological liar, and it’s not just that he is running the most
corrupt administration in the modern history of our country, or that he is a
racist, sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe and a religious bigot. But that’s only
half the story. The other half of the story is that is that he is a total, 100
percent fraud.”
Sen. Bennet, whose campaign is virtually non-existent and should
drop out of the race, is quoted
as saying, “Whatever our job is between now and next November, we have to do
everything we can to defeat Donald Trump.”
Bennet has called the mounting evidence against the President “quite
damning.” “If the facts don’t change, I
think that I’m likely to vote to convict.”
In a series of tweets,
Sen. Warren opined, "After the Mueller report, Congress had a duty to
begin impeachment. By failing to act, Congress is complicit in Trump's latest
attempt to solicit foreign interference to aid him in US elections. Do your
constitutional duty and impeach the president."
"A president is
sitting in the Oval Office, right now, who continues to commit crimes. He continues because he knows his Justice
Department won't act and believes Congress won't either. Today's news confirmed
he thinks he's above the law. If we do nothing, he'll be right."
Democrats are verklempt
because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated he would not be an
impartial juror.
"Do you
think Chuck Schumer is impartial? Do you think Elizabeth Warren is
impartial? Bernie Sanders is impartial? So let's quit the charade. This is a
political exercise," McConnell said last month. "All I'm asking
of Schumer is that we treat Trump the same way we treated [President] Clinton."
Of course, he will take the same special oath required of
the other ninety-nine senators.
UPDATE:Welcome readers of Pirate’s
Cove.We thank the Admiral for the
linky-love.
Pelosi rushed the
impeachment of President Trump, calling it urgent and refusing to allow a
presidential privilege claim to proceed to court. Yet now she has stalled on
the articles, raising serious questions about the legitimacy of the
impeachment.
Senate Majority Leader
Mitch McConnell warned Pelosi if she does not turn over the articles of
impeachment, he will act as though the House had never passed them in the first
place.
If, by Monday,
the articles do not arrive in the Senate to take up the trial of the President
the House of Representatives will have, for all intents and purposes, “pocket
vetoed” his impeachment.
"If the Speaker
continues to refuse to take her own accusations to trial, the Senate will move
forward next week with the business of our people," McConnell said.
"We will operate on the assumption that House Democrats are too
embarrassed to ever move forward."
A growing number of
Democrats in the House and Senate have joined Republicans in recent days saying
it’s time for Pelosi to send the articles to the Senate.
Tick tock, Nancy. Tick tock.
During her weekly press
briefing at the Capitol yesterday she said, “I’m not holding them
indefinitely. I will turn them over when
I’m ready, and that will probably be soon.”
During the presser, a
reporter for Fox News asked Pelosi, “Are you going to the Niners game?”
Pelosi responded
saying, “It would be my intention to go.
I have, unfortunately, responsibilities to save our country from peril
this weekend.”
Football fans really
love trick plays when they work, but a trick play wouldn’t really be a trick
play if it worked more often than it failed.
Unless it’s your team, trick plays that spiral toward outright catastrophe
are far more entertaining than those executed flawlessly.
Nancy’s trick play is
precisely that kind of catastrophe. No
offense to you Niner fans out there, but I’m rooting for the Minnesota Vikings
to embarrass Colin Kaepernick’s former team.
It’ll serve Nancy right.
Nancy Pelosi, At A 49ers Game, Gets Called Out.
Patriots everywhere need to start confronting these Democrats in non confrontational ways ..
On Wednesday, as the U.S.
House of Representatives prepared to impeach President Trump, Speaker of the
House Nancy Pelosi said, trying in vain to squeeze her Botox-injected grill
into a somber pout, “I solemnly and sadly open the debate on the impeachment of
the President of the United States.
Her caucus broke out
into raucous celebratory applause as she read the vote count on the Articles of
Impeachment forcing her to “sternly”
shut them down lest the charade be revealed.
The following day
during her weekly address, Pelosi gloated, “We’ve been hearing from people all
over the country since last night and this morning; it seems like people have a
spring in their step because the President was held accountable for his
reckless behavior. No one is above the law and the Constitution is the ultimate
law of the land.”
Pelosi continued, “I
have a spring in my step because of the moral courage of our caucus,” adding “because
the vote was carried out so prayerfully and so solemnly but so definitely.”
Even Stevie Wonder
could play a game of “Spot The Liar.”
"this is a somber and an historic moment,” i announce with the utmost gravity, raising my voice slightly so as to be heard above the squeaking of my clown shoes.
At 9:00 AM this
morning, Nancy Pelosi announced she had directed the House Judiciary Committee to
move forward in drafting Articled of Impeachment which, by the way, amount to
little more than Democrats’ creative redefinitions of crimes.
Jonathan Turley,
constitutional scholar at George Washington University Law School noted the
House hasn’t come close to proving corrupt intent, or any kind of quid pro quo,
or anything remotely resembling bribery—except that it has “advanced a
capacious and novel view of bribery to fit the limited facts.”
Speaking directly to
the American people Pelosi said, “Sadly, but with confidence and humility, with
allegiance to our founders and our heart full of love for America, today, I am
asking our chairmen to proceed with Articles of Impeachment. The President’s actions have seriously
violated the Constitution. Our democracy
is at stake. The President leaves us no
choice but to act.”
A little later the
Speaker returned to a lectern in the U.S. House briefing room for her regularly
scheduled weekly press conference when Washington correspondent for Sinclair
Broadcasting Group, James Rosen, had the audacity to ask "Do you hate the President,
Madame Speaker?"
"I don't hate
anybody," she said sternly, pointing at Rosen.
"Rep. Collins
suggested yesterday that the Democrats are doing this simply because they
don't like the guy; I think it's an important point," Rosen said.
"As a Catholic, I
resent your using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me. I don't hate
anyone. I was raised in a way that is a heart full of love and always pray for
the President. And I still pray for the President all the time. So don't mess
with me when it comes to words like that," Pelosi said, before storming
off.
Q: "Do you hate the president?"@SpeakerPelosi: "I don't hate anybody…As a Catholic, I resent your using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me. I don't hate anyone…So, don't mess with me when it comes to words like that."
Later, Rosen showed up
at House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s weekly press conference.
“I gather you were
watching just now when the Speaker, in rather effusive terms, denied that there
is any personal animus on her part that is motivating the impeachment drive. You probably also heard her invoke her
Catholicism,” Rosen told him.
“Do you take the
Speaker at her word? Do you believe her? Do you believe she’s telling the truth
when she says she does not hate the President and that’s not what this is
about?”
McCarthy diplomatically
answered saying, “I’ll take the Speaker at her word, but if she paused for a
moment, she would not have made that determination.”
“So, you don’t accept
what she said yesterday?” Rosen pressed.
“I think I have a hard
time believing her,” McCarthy answered.
Question:Why was the Botox-infused ninny so irritated
that she lost her shit with Rosen?
Answer:One hour before she even made her totally predictable
announcement, the President challenged er, warned House Democrats via
Twitter:
“The Do Nothing
Democrats had a historically bad day yesterday in the House. They have no
Impeachment case and are demeaning our Country. But nothing matters to them,
they have gone crazy. Therefore I say, if you are going to impeach me, do it
now, fast, so we can have a fair trial in the Senate, and so that our Country
can get back to business. We will have Schiff, the Bidens, Pelosi and many more
testify, and will reveal, for the first time, how corrupt our system really is.
I was elected to “Clean the Swamp,” and that’s what I am doing!”
I am giddy with
anticipation. The fireworks are going to be resplendent.
Yesterday’s campaign
rally in Cincinnati was the first for the President since the "send her
back" chants at a North Carolina rally.
In the early moments of
the rally, he declared, "I don't want to be controversial."
CNN’s Anderson Cooper was
discussing the rally with showboating Jim Acosta and the bottom third of the
screen featured a chyron which read: No
Chants Of “Send Her Back” So Far. It was
as though the home of fake news was disappointed.
It turns out there was
no need for the chant since the person for whom the chant was intended was
in “Mother Africa” with Speaker of the House Nancy “Palsi”.
She mocked the
tweet where President Trump told her to “go back” to her country of origin
and the chants.
She also mocked
his comments that Pelosi, who has clashed with the Somali-born radical in
the past, would “quickly work out free travel arrangements” for
her.
They said “send her back” but Speaker @SpeakerPelosi didn’t just make arrangements to send me back, she went back with me ✊🏽
One person on Twitter cogently summarized the
photo-op this way:
I can’t imagine it would go over well in the American Press if non-Jewish members of Congress got the giggles & took buddy photos, goofin’ off on a tour of Auschwitz. This is inconsiderate of the trauma those who passed through this portal endured & to their descendents. pic.twitter.com/qwchdwCXmH
Speaker of the House
Nancy Pelosi convened her Democrat caucus following former Special Counsel Robert
Mueller’s calamitous appearance before the House Judiciary and Intelligence
panels. A lengthy, animated discussion about the impeachment process followed.
Pelosi has argued for
months the "slow, methodical approach" employed by House Democrats
was the right way to move forward insisting Democrats need support from
Republicans or a shift in public sentiment before starting an impeachment
inquiry against President Trump.
During the morning
proceedings before the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) asked
Mueller if the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) guidance against indicting a
sitting president was the reason he didn’t indict President Trump. Mueller answered in the affirmative.
However, a short time
later, before the Intelligence Committee, Mueller clarified his comment.
"I want to go back
to one thing that was said this morning by Mr. Lieu who said, and I quote, ‘You
didn't charge the President because of the opinion,'" Mueller said.
"That is not the correct way to say it. As we say in the report and as I
said at the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the
president committed a crime."
The U.S. House has 235
Democrats, 197 Republicans, one independent and two vacant seats. As a result,
the Democrats could impeach Trump with no Republican support.
The U.S. Senate has 53
Republicans, 45 Democrats and two independents who usually vote with the
Democrats. Conviction and removal of a president would require 67 votes. So,
for President Trump to be impeached, at least 20 Republicans and all the
Democrats and independents would have to vote against him.

The Washington Post is

The folks who declare “Democracy Dies in Darkness” have a scintillating,
er, tedious piece out about the fashion sense of Botox-riddled Speaker of the
House Nancy Pelosi.
It divulges “[she] may
not like to talk about her clothes, but it’s clear that she puts thought into
what she wears.”
Well, la-de-freakin’-da. So do I.
If it’s cold, I don’t go outside in my skivvies. I don’t enter a steam bath wearing woolen long
johns.
Shannon Watts, founder
of the gun-control advocacy group Moms Demand Action, admires the way Pelosi’s
suits often match her “killer heels” in bright tones. Yet none of that would
matter if Pelosi weren’t a skilled and, at the moment, highly successful
politician. “Speaker Pelosi stands out in every room she’s in mainly because
she’s a brilliant badass,” Watts notes.
WaPo is sidestepping the
doddering old lady’s obvious dementia with that “fashion icon” BS.
She reminds me more of
Corporal Maxwell Klinger who was always bucking for a Section 8 to gain a
psychiatric discharge from the Army in M*A*S*H, the CBS sitcom that aired from
1972 to 1983. He routinely wore women’s
clothing.
So, who wore it
better? Klinger or Palsi?

I’ve never noticed her clothes — too distracted by her brain damage.
Democrats poked the
bear on Wednesday when Speaker of the House “Crazy Nancy” accused President
Trump of a cover-up shortly before she and “Crying” Chuck Schumer were
scheduled to meet with the President about the country’s infrastructure.
After lobbing that
cover-up grenade, the President snubbed them, and Pelosi wondered why he refused
to meet with them. Well, duh.
For two-and-a-half
years Democrats have doggedly relitigated the 2016 Presidential Election. Hillary Clinton was supposed to win the
presidency and in so doing would cover up the Obama Administration’s extraordinary
abuses of power. We were NEVER
supposed to find out about the skulduggery.
Pelosi released a statement
saying, “Sadly, the President continues to defy Congress’s authority, and
engage in an unprecedented cover-up campaign of the facts. Congress has a
clear, urgent duty to uncover the truth for the American people on the issues
that matter in their lives: from corruption to the Administration’s sabotage of
families’ health care to its cruel family separation policy to its welcoming of
foreign interference in our elections.
“This is about
patriotism, not politics. The President must honor the Constitution and
the rule of law and provide the information we need to find the truth for the
American people. We will continue to follow the facts wherever they take
us.”
Alrighty then.
The White House issued
a memorandum to the heads of several agencies late Thursday evening instructing
them to cooperate with Attorney General William Barr's inquiry, including the
CIA, Defense Department, State Department, the Office of the Director of
National Intelligence, Treasury Department, Homeland Security and the Energy
Department.
“Today’s action will
help ensure that all Americans learn the truth about the events that occurred,
and the actions that were taken, during the last Presidential Election and will
restore confidence in our public institutions."
The inquiry could
provide clarity to questions Republican investigators have been eager to answer
for more than a year, including whether the FBI's counterintelligence
investigation began earlier than July 2016; the scope of special counsel Robert
Mueller's Russia investigation; the full extent of the FBI's use of British spy
Christopher Steele's unverified dossier containing salacious claims about
Trump's ties to Russia by various agencies; what role, if any, foreign
intelligence agencies played; who pushed for the dossier to be included in the
intelligence community assessment on Russian election interference; the full
extent of the use of spies or confidential informants against the Trump
campaign; and matters related to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice,
Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.
The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase.
Democrats have painted
themselves into a corner. The President has called their bluff and the game is
about to end,

Today after numerous
delays, the House of Representatives voted on a resolution intended to condemn
anti-Semitism that morphed into a rebuke of other forms of bigotry.
Eliot Engel (D-NY), who
chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee on which anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar
(D-MN) sits, questioned why a move to condemn her hateful remarks had devolved
into little more than an obvious statement that hatred in all its forms is
unacceptable.
Engel went on to say, “This
resolution is a fine resolution and I will support it, but I am very
disappointed that we weren’t able to have a separate resolution to specifically
condemn anti-Semitism and what our colleague said that really was a very
hateful term.”
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY)
complained of a double standard. “Let’s
all be honest with each other, we are here today, right now, because of
anti-Semitic rhetoric from one member of this chamber said again and again and
again we would not be on this floor otherwise to discuss this topic. If that
member were a Republican that member’s name would be in this resolution and
this resolution would be all about condemning anti-Semitism and it would be
done so forcefully.”
Tiana Lowe at The
Washington Examiner noted,
The final “iteration” of the Resolution passed today begins with a condemnation
of both anti-Semitism and "anti-Muslim discrimination and bigotry."
The preamble name-drops an assortment of genuine horribles—the alt-Right
marchers of Charlottesville, the Charleston church shooter,
"anti-Muslim" bigotry, and mosque bombing—but in context, this does
little but clutter the Resolution sufficiently that one might not realize this
is all about Omar's anti-Semitism. She is the sole reason this resolution is being proposed and voted on in the
first place, yet her anti-Semitism now appears to play a secondary role in it.
Democrats have done
nothing right since taking over the House last November. Since that time they voted against
guaranteeing medical care to babies actually born alive, backed the $93
trillion Green New Deal and Medicare for All in toto and now refuse to condemn
the unrepentant and relentless anti-Semitism of Rep. Omar.
They spent the bulk of
the day flailing to add as many aggrieved groups to their factitious anti-hate
resolution as possible. It began as a resolution to repudiate Omar's
anti-Semitism, but by the end it was so watered down it will inevitably embolden
further anti-Semitic bilge in the future. Pelosi isn’t in charge anymore.

On Thursday of this week, behind
closed doors, “master
legislator” Nancy Pelosi upbraided a group of Democrats who had the
temerity to vote alongside Republicans on gun control legislation requiring ICE
(Immigration and Customs Enforcement) to be notified if an illegal immigrant
failed a background check to obtain a firearm.
Pelosi blew a gasket when 26
Democrats defied her when a motion
to recommit allowed the legislation to pass.
According to a published
report in The Washington Post Pelosi asked, “What is this? We are either
a team or we’re not and we have to make that decision.”
The report goes on to
say, “When one lawmaker talked about the peril of persistently voting with
party leaders on these motions, Pelosi responded that the party stood ready to
help team players: “We have a massive MASH operation and, frankly, it should be
there for those who have the courage to take the vote.”
Publicly and privately,
Pelosi has urged members to treat the Republican motions as a procedural gambit
that should be routinely ignored. “Vote no — just vote no,” she told reporters
Thursday, “because the fact is, a vote yes is to give leverage to the other
side.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
(D-NY), who was also in the closed-door meeting, warned those who had rejected the plea by Pelosi to join in obstructionist groupthink were “putting themselves on a list.”
She said, “When progressive
activists ask her for a list of names to target, she’s going to give it to
them.”
This list, not unlike the
1930’s Gestapo Black
Book or Joe
McCarthy’s blacklist, guarantees a trip to the Party woodshed where they
will be forced to crawl on their bellies if they stray from the Party line.

STRANDED BUS with Pelosi and Democrat Lawmakers IS DRIVING CIRCLES AROUND US CAPITOL
On Thursday afternoon, President Trump informed Speaker Pelosi her “public relations” trip to Afghanistan, Egypt, and Brussels has been postponed so that she can stay in DC and negotiate with him.
The President canceled Pelosi’s flight just one hour before she was scheduled to depart — Pelosi and other lawmakers were on the bus en route to the airport.
Trump told her to fly commercial on her own dime.
According to Fox News reporter, Chad Pergram, furious phone calls are flying back and forth from The Hill to the State to the Pentagon and White House.
Southerners like Sen.
John Kennedy (R-LA) would much rather paint a verbal picture than get straight
to the point. Such was not the case last Friday while appearing on Fox News.
Ed Henry was interviewing the senator
asking how he felt about remarks made by Nancy Pelosi regarding the
confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.He
noted Kennedy had said Congress had hit rock bottom and asked if he, perhaps,
was referring to Pelosi when she said, “I guess there’s a similarity that
people have with the people that they respect. Crazy about Putin, in love with
Kim Jong Un, [Trump] thinks Kavanaugh is an upstanding person. Well, you know
what, he doesn’t even know what he’s talking about.”
Kennedy replied, “I
probably shouldn’t say this, but I’m going to be frank.Billy goat brain, mockingbird mouth.”That’s a much more entertaining and
expressive way of saying Pelosi is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
Mark Penn, former top
political adviser to Bill Clinton, penned an opinion piece at The
Hill declaring the radicalized Left is setting the Democrat Party back and
may well, if left unchecked, “cement a Republican majority in Washington for
the next 20 years.” (From your lips to God’s ears, Mr. Penn.)
“Trump’s victory gave the left an opportunity to radicalize
the Democratic Party. The idea was simple: Oppose everything with all you’ve
got. Energize, protest, flip on the switches of identity politics, use the
politics of personal destruction, enlist the presidential hopefuls, go to the
courts, spur on special prosecutors, flood social media. For a while, this
movement gave energy to a beaten lackluster party.”
“But now its flaws are coming home to roost. Screaming at
senators in elevators while complaining about judicial temperament doesn’t add
up. Opposing every issue for every reason begins to look shrill and fake after
a while. Stirring people up leads to unpredictable excesses. Treating half the
country as pariahs only increases their anger.”
[SKIP]
“The resistance is in full boomerang mode now. But the fired-up
movement appears to have no “off” switch.”
[SKIP]
“Only 27% of the country is liberal. Less than 10% can be
classified as left. This is a moderate country that believes its politicians
need to get things done. Polls show that 8-n-10 voters want politicians who
will work to find compromises.”
[SKIP]
“An upset is now possible if Democrats fail to turn away
from the resistance and its extreme tactics. Americans want action on our most
pressing problems. They are not going to vote for the party whose message is
impeachments and investigations, especially during an economic resurgence.”

For Democrats the Supreme
Court is an institution dedicated to the advancement of elite liberal victories
in the culture wars. Kavanaugh’s confirmation slammed the courthouse doors
on their fever dream.
Last Saturday Susan
Collins, a woman whom I’ve criticized frequently, became a heroine when she
delivered the most profound line on the floor of the Senate prior voting to
confirm Kavanaugh, “We must always remember that it is when passions are most
inflamed that fairness is most in jeopardy.”
Collins closed with, “It
is a case of people bearing ill will towards those who disagree with them. In our intense focus on our differences, we
have forgotten the common values that bind us together as Americans.”
Unfortunately, a younger generation of
Americans knows little about those values and are slipping away.
