Are The Never-Trumpers Dropping Acid Like Timothy Leary Now?

Christopher Bedford of The Federalist website wrote on Monday, “The Never-Trumpers are a joke kept alive by a structure of self-support. They haven’t been correct on a single thing in years yet continue to earn their supper and an invitation to the party by wholeheartedly agreeing with their new patrons. They predicted ruin when the President was nominated and doom when he was elected, all while his poll numbers have continued to tick upward. They prophesied the shattering of the Republican Party all while it has maintained near-historic discipline in the face of a unified Democrat-media assault. They assumed the end of the economy because America reacted to unfair international trade practices and terrible global disasters because Donald Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord and killed Iran’s terrorist general.”

“All of their predictions are based on the conventional wisdom and assumptions of an insulted and excluded D.C. intelligentsia, and all are wrong. Indeed, Trump’s above decisions have resulted in the very things the Never-Trump Republicans once called for, including closing America’s sizable income gap and maintaining a strength and deterrence that are independent of entangling foreign powers.”

Enter turncoat Bill Kristol who has made some very odd attempts at reclaiming his mantle as someone conservatives should care about. First he founded The Bulwark, a website wholly devoted to taking down President Trump after his Weekly Standard went belly up.  Then he left the GOP lock, stock and barrel in reaction to the Senate’s 51-49 decision not to call witnesses in the President’s impeachment trial by declaring himself a Democrat.

What Cap’n Bill seems to be suggesting is conservatives and Republicans should feel compelled to abandon their core principles on abortion, gun rights, taxation, education, climate change policy and any other conservative and constitutional issues simply to get rid of Trump.

This idea that we should hand the entire government over to Toothy McBig Tits AOC and the Squad so Kristol can ride in on the back of Mitt Romney’s horse to reclaim the mantle of conservative leadership is a fevered acid dream reminiscent of Timothy Leary.

“With the Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders now the frontrunner and the political arsonist Donald Trump as the Republican incumbent, there is a yawning chasm that has never before existed in American politics. By retreating to their poles, our two major parties have left tens of millions of independents and moderate Democrats and Republicans unrepresented.”

The author of this drivel, Neal Simon (no, not the playwright), argues the odds are long for any independent candidate citing the arbitrary benchmark to qualify and access to sufficient capital to launch a campaign.  Simon also points out they lack the name recognition of being affiliated with the two major parties.

Did I mention the Never-Trumpers are dropping acid? “A Romney-Bloomberg ticket would be a first in modern American politics: A bipartisan unity ticket running under the banner of an independent third party.”

Simon says, “It would give both disgruntled Republicans who feel their party has become lost in Trump’s personality cult and Democrats who feel their party is lurching too far left towards a socialist revolution a voice on the ballot that reflects a popular idea of how the country should be run.”

Romney has been disinvited to the 2020 CPAC Convention, he’s been ostracized and excommunicated from the GOP.  Senators won’t sit with him at the lunch table according to Sen. Rand Paul.  He even faced a recall and censure vote in the Utah State House.

Bloomberg is now a prime target for his decades-long record of policy stances and insensitive remarks that have offended entire swaths of the electorate.

Kristol’s notion of Romney as his “savior” is preposterous, idiotic, absurd.

Mitt Romney: A Perfect Foil In The Democrats’ Witch Hunt

Eight months before the presidential election of 2016 Romney gave a speech at the Hinckley Institute at the University of Utah torching then-candidate Trump.

Mittens AKA Pierre Delecto spoke with Obama Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about becoming President Trump’s Secretary of State.

Twenty-one days after the 2016 election, President-elect Trump invited Pierre Delecto to dine with him at the Jean Georges Restaurant in Trump Tower.  They were there to discuss who he would pick as his Secretary of State.

Richie Duchon of NBC News characterized the meeting this way, “Trump made a spectacle of dining with Romney as he weighed his choice for Secretary of State, only to give the job to Rex Tillerson.”

To say Mittens, a treacherous RINO, is still bitter about being turned down for the job he begged for would be a monumental understatement.  I have concluded the sole reason he sought a seat in the Senate was to exact revenge for the humiliation of that dinner at the Jean Georges Restaurant.

Sen. Delecto (Romney) said Monday the revelations from the soon-to-be-released Bolton book make it “increasingly likely” he and three other wafflers would want to compel his testimony in the President’s Senate trial.

The well-coiffed patrician who rarely ventures beyond his gilded barricades to mix with the little people is intellectually incurious about Bolton’s intemperate allegations.  No one has seen the manuscript.  We only have the word, God help us, of the failing New York Times whose carefully orchestrated “leak” was timed to hurt the President during his impeachment trial.

This is treachery.

Pierre Delecto: Noble Republican, My Ass

Utah senator “Mittens” Romney was outted Sunday by Slate for having a now-locked shadow Twitter account allegedly to “promote his failed 2012 campaign” and condemn political moves with which he disagrees.

The story unraveled when McKay Coppins, an activist reporter for The Atlantic, published a lengthy profile on Romney trying to convince readers he is a noble Republican foil to an “out-of-control President.”

Dogs Against Romney

A little over two years ago penultimate RINO “Mittens” Romney launched a scathing attack against then-candidate Donald Trump pleading with Republicans to “stop him at any cost.”

While speaking at the Hinckley Institute of Politics Romney said, “Given the current delegate selection process, that means that I’d vote for Marco Rubio in Florida and for John Kasich in Ohio and for Ted Cruz or whoever has the best chance of beating Mr. Trump in a given state.”

“There’s plenty of evidence that Mr. Trump is a con man, a fake.  Mr. Trump has changed his positions, not just over the years, but over the course of the campaign. This recklessness is recklessness in the extreme.  Donald Trump tells us that he is very, very smart.  I’m afraid that when it comes to foreign policy, he is very, very not smart.”

“Here’s what I know, Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud.  His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University.  He’s playing the American public for suckers.”

That seething diatribe was pablum for the legion of Never Trumpers.

On Thursday, the one-time governor and twice-failed presidential candidate while at an invitation-only retreat─the same one he became emotional at two years before telling attendees that “seeing this is breaking my heart for the party”─is now saying the man he so clearly despised would easily win the GOP nomination in 2020 and solidly win a second term.

Talk about a sharp U-turn!

“Mittens” is in the midst of a Republican Senate primary campaign on June 26th against State Rep. Mike Kennedy.  A loss to Kennedy would be an embarrassing stumble tantamount to Granny Clinton’s collapse at the 9/11 Memorial ceremony in 2016.  Who could forget that?

Romney needs to win over Utahn skeptics who question his dedication to the state—he moved there after losing the 2012 presidential race—and some are wary of his criticism of Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Remember when he choked during the last presidential debate with The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer?  I know you do.

He had Benghazi, he had Obamacare, he had the billions of dollars wasted on building the Obamacare website.  He was mute. He did nothing. He choked.  That was the quintessential moment he lost a winnable election.

Someone recently described Mitt Romney as a 6’2” oil slick with teeth.  I will always remember the one thing that dogged him [pun intended]:

He strapped a dog carrier to the roof rack of the family station wagon and put his Irish Setter Seamus into the carrier where the dog remained for the 12-hour trip from Boston to Ontario.

The Boston Globe first broke the story in 2007 when it published a seven-piece profile of Romney after he launched his first presidential run. The Seamus incident was contained in a story about his family life with wife, Ann, and their five sons. It was meant to illustrate Romney’s “emotion-free crisis management.”

The dog, which had a penchant for wandering away from the Romneys’ Boston home, ended up retiring to California with Romney’s sister, Jane, who had space for him to roam freely.  He lived to a ripe old age we’re told, no thanks to Mitt’s stunt.

Full Of Mitt

Mitt Romney ran for the Senate against Ted Kennedy in 1994 and got clobbered.  He was sworn in as the Governor of Massachusetts in January 2003.  When his term ended in 2007 he did not seek re-election.

In 2008 he ran for President.  By the time Super Tuesday rolled around he had lost 14 of 21 states.  He ended his candidacy without endorsing his Republican opponent John McCain.  Four years later, Romney launched his second bid for the presidency.

During his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention he spoke to the crowd as though he were reading from a carefully chosen collection of Hallmark greeting cards.

“You know, if every child could go to sleep feeling wrapped in the love of the family and God’s love, this world would be a far more gentle place.”

“President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and to heal the planet.  My promise is to restore every father and mother’s confidence that their children’s future is brighter even than the past.”

Romney was a weak candidate. Jim Antle opined on Romney’s “pandering” on legal abortion.

“If Romney had never run for office in Massachusetts and stuck to Utah politics, he would never have supported legal abortion. He may never have become known as a ‘flip-flopper.’ And he likely would not have been responsible for Romneycare, the state healthcare law that later formed the basis of Obamacare.”

“All in all, Romney would have been a much cleaner conservative candidate for the Republican presidential nomination both times he ran. And perhaps this would have aided him as a ‘Never Trump’ voice during the 2016 primaries.”

Now that Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) announced he will retire at the end of 2018, speculation is rampant Mittens will run for Hatch’s open seat.

In March of 2016, speaking from the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah, Romney played an ugly game and lost.  He waged a war of words against Trump with much more gusto and gumption than he ever displayed in his attacks on The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer during the presidential debates. He was the worst possible spokesman for Republicans against then-candidate Trump.

“Dishonesty is Trump's hallmark: He claimed that he had spoken clearly and boldly against going into Iraq. Wrong, he spoke in favor of invading Iraq. He said he saw thousands of Muslims in New Jersey celebrating 9/11. Wrong, he saw no such thing. He imagined it. His is not the temperament of a stable, thoughtful leader. His imagination must not be married to real power.”

Romney didn’t always demonstrate his vitriol towards Trump.  In February 2012 from Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Romney spoke after Donald Trump endorsed his candidacy for president saying:

“There are some things that you just can’t imagine happening in your life. This is one of them. Being in Donald Trump’s magnificent hotel and having his endorsement is a delight. I’m so honored and pleased to have his endorsement. Donald Trump has shown an extraordinary ability to show how our economy works. To create jobs for the American people. He has done it here in Nevada, he has done it across the country. He understands that our economy is facing threats from abroad.”

The Salt Lake Tribune notes, “If the former presidential candidate wants the title, it’s likely his. We all know the direction this is going, and I think we’ll know within the next couple of weeks definitively. Romney would be the instant front-runner if he declares.”

His one-time presidential rival and now U.S. Ambassador to Russia Gov. John Huntsman called him a "perfectly lubricated weathervane."

Romney has two things in common with Granny Clinton:  he’s a twice-failed presidential candidate and he just won’t go away.  What this country does not need is another McCain-like malcontent.

He didn’t even campaign in Arizona.  According to polling results (92.4% reporting) he garnered a paltry 62,444 votes. Rubio had a better showing and he dropped out of the race the week before.

The mailman’s son topped Donald Trump in Utah.  With 85.4% reporting, Kasich grabbed 29,015 votes compared to Trump’s 23,984 votes.  Cruz blistered them both with a commanding 69.2% of the votes.

Kasich’s decision to stay in a race in which he has so far failed to make a mark outside his home state of Ohio led National Review editor Rich Lowry to say, “Kasich is playing a selfish and delusional role.”

In Ohio, Kasich campaigned with Mitt Romney, who urged voters to cast their ballots for the governor as part of a Stop Trump strategy.  A week later, he abandoned Kasich in Utah’s contest making robocalls on behalf of Cruz declaring that a vote for Kasich was a vote for Trump.

Of course Romney’s disgraceful tactic is a moot point at this juncture since Kasich has already been mathematically eliminated.

Kasich has turned his attention to Wisconsin which will award 42 delegates using a hybrid system that is neither winner-take-all nor proportional.

Fox News Hosted A Debate And A Hockey Fight Broke Out

Thursday’s debate in Detroit hit rock bottom for me.  Apparently, to many, the feeling is mutual.  The underlying fear is the effrontery of penis innuendos and name-calling is becoming profoundly detrimental to the image of the GOP.  For all intents and purposes the debate stage has moved to the gutter sewer.

I believe that Fox News is responsible for the hockey fight that broke out.  I remember the consensus praise the cable channel received for the manner in which the first debate in August of 2015 was handled.  This last debate devolved into an ugly exhibition of mudslinging which the Democrats have already racked for video evidence that their presumptive nominee will be a far, far better leader of the country than anyone that emerges from the GOP convention in Cleveland.

I blame Fox for not preemptively addressing protesters entering the debate hall.  There was no effort made to insist the audience remain silent during the debate.  In addition, Fox failed to adequately moderate the debate.  This was evident when Marco Rubio persisted in deploying the now very tiresome mockery of Trump’s “tan”, the size of his fingers and all the other schoolboy childishness.  Rubio’s boyish appearance coupled with his immaturity on the debate stage is part and parcel for why he is polling so poorly.  Others have noticed that Marco, on the campaign trail and on the dais, is “Red Bull-ed up”.  I believe that Rubio regrets having embarked on these cheap attacks and now cannot stop himself.  He is desperate for attention. 

Even as Trump led polls in the months before the primaries began, his biggest rivals Cruz and Rubio, largely avoided attacking him calculating that he would implode.  To say that they gravely miscalculated would be an understatement.

The ever-harsher tones of Ted Cruz, I feel, are damaging his chances of overcoming Trump in the primaries.  The more Cruz declares he is the only candidate who can defeat Trump the more desperate he comes across to voters.  Of course, this election cycle is like no other in my lifetime.

Today we have three states—Kansas, Kentucky and Louisiana—casting their ballots. There could be states where only Trump meets a 20% requirement.  In some states, that could mean sharing delegates with the second-place finisher; in others, it could give him a “backdoor winner-take-all” victory, enabling him to win all or most delegates from a state with only a plurality.

Trump leads Cruz by 15.6 points in Louisiana.  In Kansas, his lead over Cruz is 6 points but that was before Super Tuesday and the pleading of Mitt Romney.  Kentucky, which hasn’t conducted polling since November of 2015, projects a 13 point lead over Rubio.

After March 15’s primaries have concluded, 36 states and territories will have voted on the Republican side, and close to 60% of all GOP national delegates will have been awarded.

About that Romney speech, politicos have been sharing schemes for how Marco parlays a victory out of winning only one state, or Ted roars back, or Kasich has to finish second in Ohio.

What’s more, Romney pushes the ideology of the elite in the party. They are protected from much of the roughness of the world.  More to the point, they are protected from the world they have created. 

Romney claimed to understand the anger of voters.  The unprotected (that’s you and me) watched over the last 20 years and realized the protected were not looking out for us or our beloved country.

I resent their interference in this election.  The people are speaking boldly about the direction in which they want their country to go while the party overlords try desperately to circumvent their will.

UPDATE:   In my haste I neglected to include data for the caucuses in Maine.  There are 23 proportional delegates at stake.  Lance Dutson’s Whip Count Insider’s Survey overwhelming predicted a win for Trump.  Because of the idiosyncratic nature of the Maine electorate national pundit Nate Silver isn’t sure what will happen.

Romney’s High-Profile Speech: Like Guggenheim Putting On His Dinner Jacket To Die Like A Gentleman Aboard The Titanic

Today was a stunning day in the body politic.  The man who twice failed to win his bid for the presidency took to the dais at the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute to gun for the GOP’s front-runner.

As someone wrote, “The living, breathing, immaculately coiffed human embodiment of the same Republican establishment that Trump publicly reviles and of the economic currents that he exploits but claims to despise—tried to convince the reality star’s supporters that they are ‘suckers’ being taken in by a dangerous con man.”

Watching him speak, it was not hard to compare Mitt Romney to Benjamin Guggenheim.  Guggenheim, heir to the Guggenheim family fortune, returned to Room B-84 of the Titanic to change into his finest evening wear and was last heard saying, “We’ve dressed up in our best and are prepared to go down like gentlemen.”

Romney provided the fodder that launched the blitzkrieg waged by Marco Rubio, and to a lesser extent Ted Cruz, in last week’s debate before the Super Tuesday primaries when he intimated there may be a “bombshell” in Trump’s tax returns.

It is too soon to tell if Romney’s charge is true, but it is clear that his devilment is no less sleazy than the cheap shot taken which then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid leveled at him on the floor of the Senate in 2012.

“Donald Trump is phony, a fraud.  He’s playing the American people for suckers.  He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat,” said Romney.

The people in this country have been betrayed by the GOP leadership ever since The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer took office.  They’ve watched as oppressive regulations, out-of-control spending, sequesters, CRomnibus bills, the “fundamental transformation of America”, executive orders, bailouts and universal healthcare have been rammed down their throats. 

In 2010, 2012 and again in 2014 the people voted to fire RINOs who perpetuated that betrayal in the hope that their duplicity would end but it did not.  They’ve watched helplessly as their hopes and dreams of a better America have been crushed.

Trump may well be a snake oil salesman, but can he be any worse than The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer, a woman who is currently under investigation for possible espionage and a milquetoast socialist from Vermont?

I believe that the entrenched Republican establishment which has lined its pockets off the sweat and blood of honest, hard-working Americans should let this election cycle play out.  This is supposed to be about the will of the people, not about what Reince Priebus, Mitt Romney or Mitch McConnell want.  People are tired of the national decline and foreigners disrespecting America.

It's Official!

Mitt Romney will not run in 2016. Whew! One down, how many to go?

• Let me say what I have said time and time before. I believe that Mitt Romney is a good man. I congratulate and thank him for his prescient withdrawal from the 2016 race. I would love to see Mitt participate in a Republican victory in 2016, and think he could serve the nation well in a number of different cabinet level positions. 

We shouldn't let this good man's experience go to waste. Having said that, he was not my choice in 2008. Truth be told, neither was John McCain. McCain was lacking in conservative bona fides, particularly when it came to economics. I don't know if Romney was done in by his supporters, but there was one Romneybot in particular who frequented Internet discussions and tried to hijack every thread, whenever he came across any meager crumb that favored Romney, and then regaled us with the inevitability of Romney taking the nomination. So, he had the distinction of not only being annoying but wrong. On top of that, instead of challenging McCain's policies, which I would have probably echoed and applauded, he chose to attack McCain personally, his military service, and going so far as calling him a traitor. 

God save us from our friends.

In the end, I supported McCain, not because he was my favorite or ideal candidate, but in my estimate, he would have made a better president than Obama. Fast forward to 2012. Same story. Conservatives fail to find one solid conservative candidate to coalesce around, Romney, slow and steady takes the race. I campaigned against Romney in the primaries. I tried really hard not to violate Reagan's Eleventh Commandment in tempering my criticisms of Gov. Romney, and emphasizing the qualities of those he ran against. Once he was the nominee, I actively supported him, once again believing he'd make a better president than Obama had proven himself to be.

When I heard that he was perhaps considering a third run, I was somewhat alarmed. After eight years of Obama, our nation cannot afford for Republicans to run an "also ran" candidate. If Mitt Romney couldn't seal the deal in 2012, when the nation should have been able to see what an abysmal president Obama had been, how would he seal the deal over the Dems' next "Flavor of the Month"? Maybe touting the "first woman president"?

The train wreck that was 'Hope and Change' will take years, maybe decades to clean up. The sooner we start, the better. We need to clear the deck of vanity candidates and candidates that do not have a prayer, so that we can properly vet our next president. Having twelve guys on a stage posing for soundbites or hoping for an opponent's misstep upon which to capitalize will not accomplish this.

I'm not trying to deny anyone the right to run. The guarantee of free speech does not contain within it a guarantee of an audience, or the size of that audience. Let's weed out the "also ran" candidates as soon as possible. Gov. Bush, Gov. Christie, Gov. Huckabee: follow Mitt's example. For the good of the country, the quicker you get out or not all the way in, the better.

CNN Cow Put Out To Pasture After 27 Years

Veteran newsfatso Candy Crowley is leaving CNN after 27 years.  "I've done a lot of politics," said Crowley, "and I still love it. Not who wins or who loses, but who they are."

Actually, she does care who wins.  The incident that most notably comes to mind is when she willfully ignored agreed upon presidential debate rules and ran interference for The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer when he claimed the Benghazi attack was an act of terror.  He did not.

A source with knowledge about the network’s thought process said CNN President Jeff Zucker had the behemoth “on the short list to be gone from the beginning,” according to Betsy Rothstein at The Daily Caller.

Rothstein notes that Crowley was “too old and fat” and didn’t “go along with the direction of going for a younger audience.”  Rothstein cited CNN insider gossip:  “Heard Jeff would rather split the cost and have a younger blonde cover politics to compete with Fox News.”

I think Zucker just got fed up (no pun intended) with her eating the network out of house and home.

It’s been quite a week.  Snowfall on Tuesday that didn’t amount to much followed on Wednesday by a “Snowpocalypse” that continued through late afternoon on Thursday dumping 11 inches of white stuff where I live.  My area escaped the ice storm that caused severe damage south of me.

Friday, as you know, was Valentine’s Day.  At approximately 10:23 PM, an earthquake struck Edgefield, SC and seismologists said the 4.1 magnitude tremblor could be felt as far west as Atlanta and as far north as Hickory, NC.  The little burg is some 60 miles north and west of where I live.

I didn’t know about it until some of my co-workers were discussing it the following day at work.  Must’ve slept through it I guess.

I read with interest an article about a new treatment for sleep apnea.  I was recently diagnosed with moderate obstructive sleep apnea.  I have not yet met with the sleep doctor who will prescribe which CPAP I will be given and make the necessary adjustments to the forced air settings that will work best for my degree of apnea.

U.S. Secretary of State John “Mr. Reporting for Duty” Kerry on Sunday called climate change perhaps the world's "most fearsome" destructive weapon and mocked those who deny its existence or question its causes, comparing them to people who insist the Earth is flat.

Facebook is now offering its users numerous options to present their gender identity to their Facebook freaks friends in the same way they do in the real world.  Oh joy!

Taco Bell is not a thing you plan to eat, per se. After a few drinks or a bad day, it just sort of happens.  The company plans to release a mobile ordering app so that almost as soon as you experience a spontaneous craving for a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, you will be able order it with a few taps on your Smartphone.

It’s tough when one of your best friends starts dating a dud. Keep your mouth shut, and you feel like a bad friend. Say something about it, and they’re liable to run back to their poorly chosen lover’s arms quicker than ever.

I think I’ll get back to enjoying my slacker Sunday.  The timer is going off on my 7-layer dip with chicken.  Time to put some tortilla chips in a bowl and dig in.  I think I’ll follow that up with some Caramel Cookie Crunch gelato and join the pup on the couch and watch me some Olympics.  Who gives a shit if that small, odd, chill-faced man who likes to pose menacingly shirtless in order to seem much taller than he actually is is boning that gymnast who is 30 years his junior?

To Lift Again A Tattered Flag

I have no pedigree from an Ivy League school, I don’t live in or near the vaunted Beltway, I don’t have a degree in Political Science or Psychology.  I’m just a 60-year-old woman whose lifespan has included the presidencies of Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Hussein Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama has generated more debt, dependency and decay than any president in the history of this great nation.  He is the man the Las Vegas Review-Journal described as “a narcissistic amateur who seeks to ride this nation's economy and international esteem to oblivion.”

We have witnessed him spend everything and build nothing, nothing for four long years.

The Left insists that the Chicago Messiah has received a bounce in the polls from appearing to be “presidential” during the Hurricane Sandy disaster as he “comforted” a woman in a photo-op while in New Jersey.

I vehemently disagree.  The words this errand boy sent by grocery clerks uttered in Springfield, OH ushers an anger in me that I cannot describe.  Revenge?

Those words are a window into the soul of this scrawny little emperor.  He wants to stay in power.  Why?

The answer to that question is encapsulated in the following quote from Valerie Jarrett, Iranian-born Communist sympathizer and Barack Obama’s Senior Adviser:

“After we win this election, it’s our turn.  Payback time.  Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded; the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay.  Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”

What American president that you know of has people around him who think and speak like this?  Clearly, this is the revenge the president was referring to and it’s terrifying.

With one day to go before the election, everybody and their brother are offering their predictions on who will win.  You can drive yourself insane with an interactive “Path to the White House” or you can trust Silver’s “science”.  Either way, you’re spinning your wheels.

Jay Cost, at the Weekly Standard, believes the rising power of the independent vote will determine the outcome of this year’s election.  “I am not willing to take polls at face value anymore. I am more interested in connecting the polls to history and the long-run structure of American politics, and when I do that I see a Romney victory.”

I’m tired of seeing the Chicago Messiah’s obedient followers wearing T-shirts that read, “Obama said I’m gonna knock you out.”  I’m tired of hearing blathering fools like Bill Maher threaten, "If you're thinking about voting for Mitt Romney, I would like to make this one plea. Black people know who you are and they will come after you."  Oh, and let's not forget those threats of riots in the streets if Romney wins.

If The Left believes that people are going to stand by and let this lunacy continue unabated then somebody is off their meds.

Call me a Pollyanna, call me a kook, but I see a Romney victory, too.  For the love of country and to lift again a tattered flag.
