Yesterday’s campaign
rally in Cincinnati was the first for the President since the "send her
back" chants at a North Carolina rally.
In the early moments of
the rally, he declared, "I don't want to be controversial."
CNN’s Anderson Cooper was
discussing the rally with showboating Jim Acosta and the bottom third of the
screen featured a chyron which read: No
Chants Of “Send Her Back” So Far. It was
as though the home of fake news was disappointed.
It's like a parody. https://t.co/xSozSrpKXH— Ian (@phrogxix) August 2, 2019
It turns out there was
no need for the chant since the person for whom the chant was intended was
in “Mother Africa” with Speaker of the House Nancy “Palsi”.
She mocked the
tweet where President Trump told her to “go back” to her country of origin
and the chants.
She also mocked
his comments that Pelosi, who has clashed with the Somali-born radical in
the past, would “quickly work out free travel arrangements” for
her.
They said “send her back” but Speaker @SpeakerPelosi didn’t just make arrangements to send me back, she went back with me ✊🏽— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) August 1, 2019
So grateful for the honor to return to Mother Africa with the @TheBlackCaucus and commemorate The Year of Return! #Doorofreturn #Ghana pic.twitter.com/0yVBLcAEs5
Trump deported both of them? Holy crap.— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) August 1, 2019
One person on Twitter cogently summarized the
photo-op this way:
I can’t imagine it would go over well in the American Press if non-Jewish members of Congress got the giggles & took buddy photos, goofin’ off on a tour of Auschwitz. This is inconsiderate of the trauma those who passed through this portal endured & to their descendents. pic.twitter.com/qwchdwCXmH— KenGutoski (@KenGutoski) August 2, 2019
