A Christmas Carol For The Trump Era

On a frigid evening in the nation’s capital just days before Christmas, a mean-spirited and ruthless fibber named Adam Schiff works meticulously on a speech he plans to give on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Despite the harsh weather, Schiff refuses to pay for another lump of coal for the fireplace to warm his office.  His cruelty and bitterness have a chilling effect on his toiling staffers.

Suddenly, Eric Swalwell bursts into the office offering holiday greetings with an exclamatory, “Happy Festivus!”  The grumpy Schiff responds with “Bah! Humbug!” refusing to share in his Festivus cheer.

The hour is quite late, but Schiff follows his same old routine of taking dinner in his usual Beltway bar and returns home through the dank Washington streets.  Just before entering the house, the doorknocker on his front door, the same one he has passed through every day catches his attention.  A ghostly image in the curves of the knocker gives the scoundrel a momentary shock.  He looks away then refocuses and sees nothing but a doorknocker.

Slipping the key into the lock the doorknocker comes to life.  It’s the peering face of President Trump.  Unsettled by the vision, Schiff mutters to himself, “You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato.  There’s more gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!”

He plods up the wide staircase to his bedroom.  He prepares for bed when the carvings on his mantelpiece suddenly transform into visions of voters shouting their disgust with him and the role he has played in the impeachment proceedings.  Determined to dismiss the strange visions, blurts out, “Humbug!”

Moments later Schiff hears footsteps thumping up the stairs and, in a flash, a ghostly figure of Jonathan Turley floats through the closed and locked door.  He tells him he is there to save him from the growing contempt Americans have for all Democrats in 2020.

Turley leads Schiff to an open window and gestures to him to look out.  He sees a throng of spirits each of whom is bound in chains.  They wail about their failure to lead honorable lives and their obsession with impeaching a president simply because they hate him for winning in an electoral landslide.

Turley warns that Schiff will be visited by three spirits and quickly leaves him trembling alone in the dark.

In this retelling of the classic Dickens tale, the Spirit of Impeachment Past recounts Schiff’s egregious lies about the FISA warrants, the Russian witch hunt and the deceitful Articles of Impeachment he and his minions rammed through their committees.

At the stroke of one, a second spirit, the Spirit of Impeachment Present, appears before him.  He whisks him away to a number of Christmas gatherings of Americans who are better off than they were four years ago and are dismayed with the Democrat Party and their railroading of a duly elected president.  Finally, the Spirit takes him to the White House where President Trump is hard at work for the forgotten men and women of this country.  Schiff is bewildered at the sight.  He wonders aloud, “How, in the face of all the forces arrayed against this man, can he continue to successfully make the country great again?”

As the clock strikes two, Schiff is visited by a hooded phantom coming toward him.  Schiff kneels before him asking if he is the Spirit of Impeachment Yet To Come.

The menacing wraith takes Schiff to the New York Stock Exchange where a group of businessmen discuss the death of the economy; a dingy pawn shop on the Southside of Chicago where shady characters sell the personal effects from a dead man; the dinner table of a family who were forced to go back on food stamps and the husband and wife expressing relief at the death of an unforgiving man to whom they owed money.

Schiff struggles to understand the lesson of the silent ghost.  In that moment he finds himself in a churchyard where the Spirit points to a freshly dug grave.  Schiff draws nearer and reads the inscription on the headstone:  2020 General Election.

Schiff inquires if nothing can be done to change the future.  Mockingly, the ghost quotes the Mueller Report. “No collusion.  No obstruction.”  The ghost reminds him the Horowitz Report revealed his own lies about the FISA warrants and his contact with the whistleblower.

Unlike Scrooge who faced an imminent moral reckoning, our character is faced with the very real prospect of a quick death in the Senate of the Democrats’ impeachment dreams.  They do not have the bipartisan takedown of this president and the public tenaciously resists impeachment over the Ukraine fantasy.

In the end Tiny Tim, perched upon President Trump’s shoulders, shouts for all to hear “God bless us everyone!”

A Very Curious Spectacle: The Trained Parrot And The Democrats’ Holy Grail

The Mueller testimony before both the House and Judiciary Committees was supposed to be the impetus that would open an impeachment inquiry against President Trump.

The report filed by Special Counsel Mueller found Russia did interfere with the election, but “did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple efforts from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.”

As far as obstruction, the report laid out facts on both sides but did not reach a conclusion that the President committed a crime, nor did it exonerate him.  The Democrats lacked a clear message about impeachment.

Russia, Russia, Russia went by the wayside.  Trump-hating Democrats were left flopping on the dock like a hooked fish pulled from the water.

This week headlines blared from progressive left outlets from widely leaked closed-door testimony by William Taylor, the acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, who assumed that position in July. Taylor reportedly testified he was “alarmed” the Trump Administration allegedly withheld military assistance unless Ukraine committed to investigating 2016 election corruption, including alleged wrongdoing by the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Ambassador Taylor is very familiar with the process of “conditioning” U.S. foreign aid. He spoke of it extensively in November 2011 after he had just been handpicked by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for a new position as the State Department’s Special Coordinator for Middle East Transitions, specifically Egypt, Tunisia and Libya.

According to the Employee Post-Travel Disclosure Form and the Sponsor Post-Travel Disclosure Form for Thomas Eager, a member of Adam Schiff’s staff, he traveled to Ukraine in August to meet with Taylor who was deemed to be the key impeachment witness.  The official partner of Burisma is the Atlantic Council.  The Atlantic Council sponsored the trip.

William Taylor also has strong connections to other dark power players, many of whom are embroiled in the spying scandal currently under investigation by Attorney General William Barr and US Attorney John Durham.

Taylor was a senior advisor to the US- Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), where he often presented round table discussions about policy with David Kramer from the McCain Institute. Kramer was responsible for laundering the Steele Dossier into the FBI on behalf of John McCain. Also a key player at the USUBC is the Atlantic Council, a Washington DC-based organization funded in part by Victor Pinchuk, a Ukrainian billionaire who was a donor to the Clinton Foundation. Crowdstrike co-founder and CTO Dmitri Alperovitch is also a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council. Crowdstrike was responsible for the DNC servers, and claims that it was Russia that hacked the servers and provided the information to Wikileaks.

Crowdstrike also held them privately for analysis rather than allow the FBI to forensically analyze them. In the now-infamous call with the President Zelensky, President Trump asked him to look for the missing DNC servers suspecting they were in Ukraine.

Breaking overnight was the revelation that the Department of Justice has moved its review of the Russian investigation into a criminal probe according to the New York Times giving prosecutor John Durham subpoena power over testimony and documents in the Russia probe.  Former DNI Director James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan should lawyer-up now.

A scant twenty minutes elapsed after the NYT published the news prompting Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff to issue a joint statement accusing the President of politicizing the DOJ saying, “These reports, if true, raise profound new concerns that the Department of Justice under AG Barr has lost its independence and become a vehicle for President Trump’ political revenge.”

That’s rich coming from these two charlatans as they continue to foist an unauthorized impeachment inquiry that is itself a political narrative for the next election intended to destroy this president.

The Case Of The Meddlesome Meddler

Late Friday afternoon, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced that 12 Russian nationals were indicted for hacking the DNC, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign officials in order to get emails.

The indictment alleges the Russians also stole information on approximately half a million U.S. voters by hacking a state board of election.

Rosenstein, however, made the point very clear: the indictment included no allegation that the hacking altered any votes nor affected the election result.

“There is no allegation in this indictment that any American citizen committed a crime,” Rosenstein said Friday. “There is no allegation that the conspiracy changed the vote count or affected any election result. The special counsel investigation is ongoing and there will be no comments on a special counsel at this time.”

The announcement came just three days before the President’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, exposing Rosenstein to charges of playing politics with international diplomacy.

Rosenstein said he briefed Trump about the upcoming criminal charges earlier this week and insisted the timing of the indictments was “a function of the collection of the facts, the evidence, and the law and a determination that it was sufficient to present the indictment at this time.”

“I’ll let the president speak for himself,” Rosenstein responded when asked whether Trump supported the latest step in the 14-month-old Mueller probe. “Obviously, it was important for the President to know what information we've uncovered because he’s got to make very important decisions for the country. So, he needs to understand what evidence we have for election interference.”

Earlier in the day, during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Theresa May, President Trump was asked about his visit with Putin scheduled for Monday.  He stated what he would discuss with Putin saying, “We’ll be talking about a number of things. Ukraine, we’ll be talking about Syria.  We’ll be talking about other parts of the Middle East.  I will be talking about nuclear proliferation because we are massively, you know, you know what we’ve been doing, we’ve been modernizing, fixing and buying; it’s just a devastating technology. And they, likewise are doing a lot.  And it’s a very, very bad policy.  We have no choice.  But we are massively big and they are big.  And I’ll be talking about nuclear proliferation.  It would be a great thing if we could do it.”

Trump went on to say, “It’s not only Russia and the United States, it’s other countries also.  We’re the two leaders.  I think it would be tremendous if we could do something on nuclear proliferation.  Will we be talking about meddling.  I will absolutely bring that up.  I don’t think you’ll have any ‘Gee, I did it, I did it, you got me.'  There won’t be a Perry Mason here I don’t think, but you never know what will happen.  But I will absolutely, firmly ask the question and hopefully we’ll have a good relationship.”

The President was referring to the 1957 to 1966 television series, where character Perry Mason (played by Raymond Burr) represents a series of clients in difficult circumstances and then usually manages to wring confessions from the real guilty party through skillful interrogation and every single case was solved in one hour.

To get to the truth about election meddling they need to interrogate The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer, Crooked Hillary and Slimeball Comey.

Barack Obama sold out our Eastern European allies on missile defense. He slow-walked aid to Ukraine and did little more than shrug when Crimea was annexed. He said "never mind" on his own "red line" in Syria and turned a blind eye to Putin’s intervention there, in large part because of his obsessions with getting the Iran deal. The Russian meddling in our elections started on Obama’s watch─and not just our elections but those of many of our allies. When Mitt Romney famously said Russia was our No. 1 geopolitical foe, Obama mocked him for it as did countless liberal journalists who are now converts to anti-Russia hawkery.

Throughout his presidency, Obama consistently underestimated the challenge posed by Putin’s regime. His foreign policy was firmly grounded in the premise that Russia was not a national security threat to the United States.

During a 2012 presidential debate, Obama disparaged his opponent, Mitt Romney for exaggerating the Russian threat, “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War’s been over for 20 years,” Obama quipped. This breezy attitude prevailed even as Russia annexed Crimea, invaded eastern Ukraine, intervened in Syria, and hacked the Clinton campaign and the DNC.

Obama’s response during these critical moments was cautious at best, and deeply misguided at worst. Even the imposition of sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine was accompanied by so much appeasement and restraint elsewhere that it didn’t deter Russia from subsequent aggression, including the risky 2016 influence operation in the United States. Obama, confident that history was on America’s side, for the duration of his time in office underestimated the damaging impact Russia could achieve through asymmetric means.

We should never let these facts slip into our collective amnesia despite the Democrat media complex’s constant attempts to rehabilitate Obama’s foreign policy failures.

ISIS Is Shaking In Their Filthy Pajamas

This blog is called Political Clown Parade; emphasis on the clown, for a reason.  On Thursday, January 22, 2014 The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer met with three YouTube™ “stars” in the East Room of the White House.  The brainiacs in the West Wing envisioned an event that would draw a younger audience—the ones who get their news from Twitter and Facebook—hoping to bring public policy to them on a personal level.

One woman, most famously known for eating Froot Loops® directly from a bathtub and opens each of her YouTube™ uploads with, “Hello! This is GloZell! Is you ok? Is you? Good, cause I wanted to know!” joined a 19-year-old whose claim to fame is crafting videos and admitted she “never really followed politics that much” and a guy who hosts a YouTube™ channel with this brother to push his State of Union message.

According to The Daily Mail, not only was it a PR disaster, but the “50-minute YouTube™ interview was a national joke before it was half over.”  The article noted that at its peak, slightly more than 84,000 people were viewing it according to live counts displayed by YouTube™.  The whole thing smacked of the satire of The Onion.

William Jacobson, proprietor of Legal Insurrection, believes the stunt was brilliant “because it put the more-hostile-than-they-were-six-years-ago MSM in its place while turning the dial up on the White House’s cool factor and creating the illusion of accessibility.”

Richard Grenell, America’s longest serving U.S. spokesman at the United Nations and National Security and Foreign Affairs spokesman for Mitt Romney’s last presidential run tweeted this:
At his website, Grenell opines:
“Republicans who mock President Obama’s interviews with the three popular YouTube internet stars make a serious mistake. While the Obama White House is completely incompetent and weak, they know how to spin everyday Americans. The Washington, DC media crowd, including conservative media, preaches to the choir of news junkies. The idea that you can win a modern presidential election without being modern is what should be mocked.”
“How can it be that some Republicans still don’t understand that young people aren’t watching Meet the Press? In fact, news junkies are watching less Meet the Press. Young people are getting their news from YouTube, Facebook and Ellen. And Team Obama has largely monopolized the playgrounds where Millennials are hanging out.”
[SNIP]
“Republicans are bound to lose the next presidential election again if they can’t communicate with new voters. Millions of people walk into the voting booth and vote for someone they like. News junkies and DC types casually refer to this as “Who would you want to have a beer with?” The sentiment is accurate but the analogy should be updated to ‘Who do you want to make a YouTube video with?’”
“I think this President is weak, bored with the office, and an incompetent leader. But he knows how to go around the DC media.”
Because these men are wiser than I am I will acquiesce to their point, but only so far.  While The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer spoke to the nation on Tuesday night Iranian-backed Shia rebels seized the Yemeni presidential palace.  Two days later Yemen's President resigned shortly after his prime minister and the entire  Cabinet stepped down.
The threat from ISIS and al-Qaeda continues to grow at an alarming pace.  Russia’s Putin hasn’t stopped threatening Ukraine. In his SOTU speech, TWMDCO boasted “We are demonstrating the power of American strength and diplomacy.  We’re upholding the principle that bigger nations can’t bully the small—by opposing Russian aggression, supporting Ukraine’s democracy, and reassuring our NATO allies.”
“Last year, as we were doing the hard work of imposing sanctions along with our allies, some suggested that Mr. Putin’s aggression was a masterful display of strategy and strength.  Well, today, it is America that stands strong and united with our allies, while Russia is isolated, with its economy in tatters. That’s how America leads—not with bluster, but with persistent, steady resolve.”

Russia continues to supply troops and advanced weapons to the rebels as battles continue to rage in Donetsk and Luhansk.  You can see the war-ravaged Donetsk airport here.

The president’s remarks did not go unnoticed in the Kremlin.  Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking Wednesday at a press conference said, “We hear from our Western partners that Russia has to be isolated. Specifically, Barack Obama has just repeated that. These attempts won’t be effective.  Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia will never resort to self-isolation.”

I could go on and on about his disastrous foreign policy on a country-by-country, region-by-region basis, but why bother.  Everything is peachy.  How do I know?  Because the smartest, coolest, hippest Preezy of the United Steezy told me so.  Every utterance of his is gobbled up by the mainstream media like it’s a pot brownie.

“I have no more campaigns to run,” he told us Tuesday night.  Still, for two more years the American people and the world will watch and be stupefied by the antics of a sophomoric, thin-skinned little man who cares more about his party and his legacy than the country he took an oath to preserve, protect and defend who possesses an extraordinary and previously undocumented ability to fuck everything up.
ISIS is shaking in their filthy pajamas

The Least Serious President in the History of the Republic™ on Ukraine, Syria & the Economy, Part Deux

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
"Next week, I'll be in Europe to coordinate with our closest allies and partners. In Estonia, I will reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the defense of our NATO allies. At the NATO summit in the United Kingdom, we'll focus on the additional steps we can take to ensure the alliance remains prepared for any challenge."
Unwavering commitment? Check.
"Our meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission will be another opportunity for our alliance to continue our partnership with Ukraine, and I look forward to reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the United States to Ukraine and its people when I welcome President Poroshenko to the White House next month."
"Partnership"? Check.
"...Ukraine is not a member of NATO, but a number of those states that are close by are. And we take our Article 5 commitments to defend each other very seriously, and that includes the smallest NATO member, as well as the largest NATO member."
"...and take our Article 5 commitments to defend each other very seriously" (Having trouble suppressing a giggle here!) Check. Let me see...unwavering commitment to our allies and "partners", taking our Article 5 commitments to defend each other very seriously, then why in the Hell haven't you grown a backbone and done something about the incursions into Crimea, which everyone has apparently already ceded to the Russians, and the continuing invasion of the Ukraine, which you will not call by its proper name? Didn't we already have a "commitment" to the Ukraine if not a signatory of NATO? Let me remind you, Mr. President, since apparently golf clears empties the mind, from wiki:
The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances is a political agreement signed in Budapest, Hungary on 5 December 1994, providing security assurances by its signatories relating to Ukraine's accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The Memorandum was originally signed by three nuclear powers, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom. China and France gave somewhat weaker individual assurances in separate documents. The memorandum included security assurances against threats or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine as well as those of Belarus and Kazakhstan. As a result Ukraine gave up the world's third largest nuclear weapons stockpile between 1994 and 1996, of which Ukraine had physical though not operational control. The use of the weapons was dependent on Russian controlled electronic Permissive Action Links and the Russian command and control system.
So, because it was only a "memorandum" and not a treaty, the "assurances of security" are null and void? What happened to "unwavering commitment"? Partnership"?? Taking our commitments to defend each other very seriously??? And, of course, since it is Barack Obama, it gets worse!

As a newly minted Senator, Barack Obama pushed to disarm the Ukraine of not only its nuclear arsenal, but conventional weapons as well. Why would they need them? They have the US and Great Britain guaranteeing their security and territorial integrity!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
* Obama traveled to Ukraine with Sen. Dick Lugar in 2005 just seven months after he became a senator, touring surplus weapons stockpiles
* Most of the small arms and ammunition were left over when Soviets withdrew from Eastern bloc nations, and later dumped in Ukraine
* The two senators secured U.S. funding to help destroy the weapons instead of leaving them intact
And now, the man who helped disarm the Ukraine is in no hurry to ship them any arms with which they could defend themselves, after broaching the promise to keep them and their territory secure.

Barack Obama: The gift that keeps on giving.

Of Hashtags, Selfies And Balls

On Friday May 9th, the man whose wit and wisdom I adore wrote this:
“It is hard not to have total contempt for a political culture that thinks the picture at right is a useful contribution to rescuing 276 schoolgirls kidnapped by jihadist savages in Nigeria. Yet some pajama boy at the White House evidently felt getting the First Lady to pose with this week's Hashtag of Western Impotence would reflect well upon the Administration. The horrible thing is they may be right:  Michelle showed she cared—on social media—and that's all that matters, isn't it?”
“Just as the last floppo hashtag, #WeStandWithUkraine, didn't actually involve standing with Ukraine, so #BringBackOurGirls doesn't require bringing back our girls. There are only a half-dozen special forces around the planet capable of doing that without getting most or all of the hostages killed: the British, the French, the Americans, Israelis, Germans, Aussies, maybe a couple of others. So, unless something of that nature is being lined up, those schoolgirls are headed into slavery, and the wretched pleading passivity of Mrs Obama's hashtag is just a form of moral preening.”
As Barack Obama enters the twilight of his tenure, the debate over his legacy is beginning, but one conclusion already seems certain. It can best be described as “Honey, I shrunk the presidency.”
Not since Jimmy Carter was held hostage by Iran has the Oval Office seemed so inconsequential against the forces of international darkness. The mismatch is particularly striking because smallness has been Obama’s choice.
Although he is guilty of executive overreach at home, that bully behavior only sharpens the contrast with a foreign policy that is feeble when it is not comatose. The president’s estrangement from the demands of global leadership is giving a green light to tyrants and malevolent opportunists everywhere
His preference for navel gazing over action was on full display last week. As Russia and China menaced their neighbors and Islamist terrorists set off bombs in a half-dozen countries, Obama accepted an award from Hollywood pal Steven Spielberg for fighting genocide. Passing up a chance to give a full-throated defense of freedom and Western civilization, the president lapsed into what The New York Times called a “meditation” on the limits of his power.
That’s far too kind. It was a white flag of surrender and more proof that Obama lacks the capacity to shoulder the responsibilities that have belonged to the Oval Office for 100 years.
The speech sounded like that of a man who is shocked to find that evil still roams the Earth, and doesn’t have a clue what to do about it. A long paragraph of his meandering remarks, released by the White House, captures his sense of helplessness.
“I have this remarkable title right now—president of the United States—and yet every day when I wake up, and I think about young girls in Nigeria or children caught up in the conflict in Syria—when there are times in which I want to reach out and save those kids—and having to think through what levers, what power do we have at any given moment, I think, ‘drop by drop by drop,’ that we can erode and wear down these forces that are so destructive, that we can tell a different story,” Obama said.
If there was a course of action buried in that litany of woe, it escapes me. The sequence amounts to a counsel of defeat.
Earlier, he had talked about rising anti-Semitism and the spread of sectarian and tribal conflicts.
“We cannot eliminate evil from every heart, or hatred from every mind,” he said. “But what we can do, and what we must do, is make sure our children and their children learn their history so that they might not repeat it. We can teach our children the hazards of tribalism. We can teach our children to speak out against the casual slur. We can teach them there is no ‘them,’ there’s only ‘us.’”
There you have it. We can teach our children warm and fuzzy things—assuming they and we are not killed by madmen first. In which case, there’s nothing we can do.
The speech reflects how little Obama has grown in office. He initially viewed American power as a problem that needed to be checked if the world was to find lasting peace and harmony.
By and large, he followed that bad prescription by deliberately shrinking America’s global footprint, and the result is the astonishing chaos we see around us. The vacuum is being filled not with democratic movements but by al Qaeda, China, Russia and other authoritarian regimes eager to take advantage of our retreat.
Obama’s view of the world was wrong, and his policies are making it more dangerous and less stable. Yet he is still sounding the call to retreat, proposing new cuts to the military that would shrink it to pre-World War II levels.
Having failed to listen or learn, Obama surveys the incomprehensible brutality and sinks into an intellectualized self-pity. Indeed, there is special poignancy to the fact that First Lady Michelle Obama joined the Twitter nation over the Nigerian schoolgirl abductions.
The photo of her holding a sign saying “Bring Back Our Girls” is riveting, but also odd.
Did she think to push her husband to do something?
And you wonder whom she expects to save the girls. The United Nations? The terrorists themselves? Nigeria’s government?
Maybe all of the above, which is to say no one, because, without the leadership of the United States, there is no one who can maintain peace and security.
This is the result of the choice Barack Obama made. This is what the world looks like when a president laments evil instead of confronting it.

The Ultimate Polish Joke

Arriving in Warsaw, Poland yesterday our village idiot reassured Poland and the Baltic states that America’s 98-pound weakling AKA The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer would protect them from any Russian aggression like the actions the Kremlin took in Crimea.

“You have an ally whose budget is larger than the next 10 nations in the world combined, so don’t worry about where we are,” Biden said to Polish President Bronislaw Komorowsk failing to confess that the U.S. budget is comprised of borrowed money and a $17 trillion national debt.

Uncle Joe’s trip is meant to send a conspicuous message to Moscow, reinforcing the limited sanctions that the United States and the European Union announced on Monday against Russian officials and their allies over the parts they played in events in Crimea.

Photoshop™ Of The Day: They Never Made Fun Of Bush

UPDATE:  Thank you to Israel Matzav for linking to this post.

Mocked By Moscow

Crimean Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov tweeted a photoshopped image of The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer in a Russian military uniform adding this pithy comment, “Interestingly, after the success of the company in returning Crimea, Barack is getting the rank of colonel?”

I am outraged at the chutzpah of this apparatchik.  Does Mr. Aksyonov not realize the good fortune of Comrade Putin for getting into the invading business while such a spineless, narcissistic opponent occupies the Oval Office?

Our president deserved to be photoshopped, at the very least, as a Russian four-star general with lots of dangling sparklies to warn the world of his superior strategic Nobel Peace Prize-winning foreign policies and his unparalleled skill in leading from behind.

This past Saturday, right before a U.N. Security Council vote to declare Sunday's referendum in Crimea invalid, American ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power went over to speak with Russian ambassador to the U.N. Vitaly Churkin.

The photograph of the confrontation which was tweeted by geopolitical expert Ian Bremmer of the Eurasia Group depicts two members of Churkin’s staff standing behind the ambassadors openly, flagrantly sniggering at the laughable state of US-Russian diplomacy.

The United States is being disgraced and humiliated.

Our paper tiger president imposed sanctions on eleven Kremlin aides and top government officials including Crimean and Ukrainian officials.  The problem, however, is that the so-called “Russian Oligarchs” had already withdrawn $100 billion in US Treasury Bonds from the Federal Reserve Bank in advance of the sanctions.

Obama: "We’re Going to Stand Firm in our Unwavering Support for Ukraine"

President Obama, the Jar Jar Binks of 21st Century diplomacy, has assured the Ukrainian people that they have his "unwavering support". If any of you doubt Obama's resolve, just look at how he dealt with Assad of Syria. Assad was murdering children with poison gas. Obama made it "clear to the world that we will not tolerate their use", calling it "a crime against humanity, and a violation of the laws of war... If we fail to act, the Assad regime will see no reason to stop using chemical weapons."

If I may quote myself: "Got that? Assad is a dictator committing atrocities, killing children with poison gas, committing crimes against humanity we will not tolerate, so, we must not fail to act."
But, we didn't. Not even a pin prick. Will our "unwavering support" for the Ukraine be any firmer than our ephemeral resolve to stop a murdering dictator, killing children with chemical weapons? Vladimir Putin stepped into the Syrian debacle and gave our toothless, Least Serious President in the History of the Republic™ an excuse to do nothing and he took it gladly. Then he went on vacation. Again.

"isolate Russia and diminish its place in the world" Diminish Russia's place while it increases its territory and resources? His carrot is larger than your stick, Mr. President. It's not that your words aren't pretty, Mr. President, it's that no one believes you when you say them.
"If you like your peninsula, people of the Ukraine, you can keep it!"
I don't know how many in the US are willing to start a shooting war to kick Russia out of the Ukraine, but unless that is at least an option, I don't see how Obama has a prayer of using "diplomatic" or economic means to do so.
