DNC Rent-Boy John Harwood

The journalist who was exposed in the Podesta emails by WikiLeaks for his unethical relationship with the Clinton campaign foolishly hosted his own poll on Twitter asking who Americans believed regarding the hacking of the DNC:  WikiLeaks, or the US intelligence community.
This is the same media rent-boy who asked Podesta “What should I ask Jeb?” in advance of an interview with the candidate.  And he’s the same hustler who was so very, very proud of himself for asking Donald Trump if he was “running a comic book version of a presidential campaign” during the GOP debate in October 2015.

Harwood’s poll would be meaningful only in the context of the echo chamber from which he preaches but for the fact that it backfired astonishingly.

Rick Santorum Wasting Our Time

Absolutely no one missed Rand Paul in Thursday’s Fox Business GOP Presidential Debate from North Charleston.  His little feelings were bruised when his polling numbers got him demoted to the undercard.  He decided to boycott the debate.

Rick Santorum, who is barely garnering 2% in national polling, burned up some of his time introducing his sons who are cadets at The Citadel.  After a long-winded statement on why he is the best Republican to take on The Ice Cube In Heels, Rick cleverly declared, "I know I'm out of time. I'm going to take some of Rand Paul’s time here for a second.”

Mean Tweets: Ted Cruz Edition

Like many of you out there I have not settled on the presidential candidate for whom I would cast my vote in the general election next November.

I noticed during Tuesday’s debate from Las Vegas that as Ayla Brown sang the national anthem, Ted Cruz placed in his hand inside his suit jacket  That image reminded me of the famous portrait by Jacques-Louis David of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte with his hand inside his waistcoat.  Does Mr. Cruz do this often?  I don’t know but I found that to be an odd display.

Rubio has been radioactive to Republicans because of his participation in the Gang of Eight movement to allow amnesty for illegal aliens. Beneath the surface is a simmering battle between Rubio and Cruz on the matter of immigration.

With Cruz coming into his own in Iowa, Rubio is desperate to knock him off his game.  Having ducked the question for nearly two years about what a President Cruz would do with the millions of illegals who remain in the U.S., Rubio demanded a straight answer from Cruz.

"I have never supported legalization, and I do not intend to support legalization," the Texas senator said, but he was more than willing to leave reporters with the impression that he was comfortable with legalizing illegal aliens.

Mean Tweets: Donald Trump Edition

If you watched last night’s GOP debate you were witness to a yuuuuuuge blunder by none other than Donald Trump.

Hugh Hewitt, conservative talk show host for the Salem Radio Network and one of the moderators of the debate, asked The Donald a question that clearly flummoxed the arrogant real estate mogul.
HEWITT:  Mr. Trump—Dr. Carson just referenced the single most important job of the president, the command and the control and the care of the military forces. The triad, the missiles and submarines are aging out. It’s an executive order. What is your priority?

TRUMP:  Well first of all, I think we absolutely need someone we can trust who is totally responsible who knows what he or she is doing that is so powerful and so important. And one of the things that I’m frankly most proud of is that in 2003, 2004, I was against going into Iraq because you are going to destabilize the Middle East. I called it, I called it very strongly and it was very important. But we have to be extremely vigilant and careful when it comes to nuclear. Nuclear changes the whole ball game. I would have said get out of Syria, get out. If we didn’t have the power of weaponry today, the power is so massive that we can’t just leave areas that 50 years ago or 75 years ago we wouldn’t care, it was hand-to-hand combat.

The biggest problem this world has today is not President Obama with global warming, which is inconceivable; this is what he’s saying. The biggest problem we have today is nuclear proliferation and some maniac, having some madman go out and get a nuclear weapon. In my opinion, that is the single biggest problem that our country faces right now.
HEWITT:  Of the three legs of the triad though, do you have a priority?
TRUMP: For me, nuclear, the power, the devastation, is very important to me.
HEWITT:  Senator Rubio, do you have a response?
RUBIO:  I do. Well first, let’s explain to people at home what the triad is. Maybe a lot of people have not heard that terminology before. The triad is the ability of the United States to conduct nuclear attacks using airplanes, using missiles launched from silos from the ground and from our nuclear subs. And it’s important, all three are critical. It gives us the ability at deterrence. Now, some are more critical than others. For example, the submarines. And that’s the Ohio class submarine that needs to be modernized. The air component also needs to be modernized. The B-52, as someone earlier pointed out, is an outdated model that was flown by the grandparents of the people flying it now. And we need a serious modernization program of our [cyber launch?] missiles as well.
In August of this year Hewitt, while interviewing Trump on “Things 2016”, asked him the same question which he could not answer.  Did he forget?  Seems implausible given the serious nature of nuclear weaponry.  But that’s just me.

Are you Trump fans paying attention?  I pray to God you are.

So the next time Mr. Trump brashly calls someone a dummy, he should be reminded of his own ignorance.

Mean Tweets: John Kasich Edition

How do I say this without sounding “judgy”?  Ohio Governor John Kasich is so off-putting to me.  In previous GOP debates he has been combative and rude.  I get the fact that he is fighting to get attention, but his aggression on the debate stage just galls me.  His strategy in the four previous GOP debates has been to scold the other candidates.  He is consistently one of the lowest-polling candidates in the Republican presidential race both nationally and in early voting states.

In an otherwise unmemorable performance, his deliberate strategy to tone down his argumentativeness called attention to something else that’s annoying.  Apparently, others noticed it too.

Inexperienced “Man” With Performance Issues?

For three years in a row, Russian president Vladimir Putin has been declared the most powerful man in the world by Forbes Magazine.

It’s no wonder.  Just last month Putin sent Russian planes, troops and ammunition into Syria to bomb ISIS forces there and met face-to-face with Syria’s Bashar al-Assad making the United States and NATO look weak in the Middle East.

With The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer’s influence shrinking, his approval ratings consistently mired below 50% and a growing chorus within his own party questioning his foreign policies, the President slipped to third.  Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel was named the second most powerful person in the world.  That left Barry slinking in at third.  This is the first year in which a sitting president of the United States has not been in the top two on Forbes’ list.

Mr. Petulant, speaking at a fundraiser in New York, mocked Republican presidential candidates for not being able to handle “a bunch of CNBC moderators.”  Need we remind him when he was running for president he joined The Ice Cube In Heels in 2007 in boycotting a debate hosted by Fox?

Allahpundit got it right when he quipped, “What you’re really seeing here, I think, is Princess’s ego showing. The charge that Putin is kicking sand in his face stings because it’s obviously true and he didn’t pause in his annoyance before hitting back to consider whether maybe he wasn’t a gigantic hypocrite in doing so. Simple as that.”
