Following on the heels of Democrat presidential hopeful Sen. Kirsten Gillebrand’s preposterous statement equating those of us who are pro-life with racists, a fake gringa representing the 35^th Congressional District in California said on the House floor, “Mr. Speaker, it is tiring to hear from so many sex-starved males on this floor talk about a woman’s right to choose.”

That moronic comment came from Rep. Norma Torres (D-CA) during a debate on a spending bill for the Department of Health and Human Services.  Rep. Ross Spano (R-FL) opposed the legislation pointing out it weakened protections against federal tax dollars being used to fund abortions.  Spano said, “For more than 40 years, this country operated under the policy that not one cent of taxpayer money can be used to fund abortion. We are a nation that deeply values religious liberty.”

In March of 2013, Alisa Lapolt Snow, a lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified before the Florida House to oppose a law requiring abortionists to provide care for babies born alive during botched abortions in the starkest terms possible. 

Snow told the Florida legislature that if a child is born alive during a botched abortion, its survival “should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician.”

In response to the new abortion law in Georgia and legislation in Alabama, National Public Radio restated its long-standing guidance regarding abortion and related topics.

“One thing to keep in mind about this law and others like it: Proponents refer to it as a ‘fetal heartbeat’ law. That is their term. It needs to be attributed to them if used and put in quotation marks if printed. We should not simply say the laws are about when a ‘fetal heartbeat’ is detected. As we've reported, heartbeat activity can be detected ‘about six weeks into a pregnancy.’ That's at least a few weeks before an embryo is a fetus.”

“The term ‘unborn’ implies that there is a baby inside a pregnant woman, not a fetus. Babies are not babies until they are born. They’re fetuses. Incorrectly calling a fetus a ‘baby’ or ‘the unborn’ is part of the strategy used by anti-abortion groups to shift language/legality/public opinion.”

Joy Pullman, mother of five and Executive Editor of The Federalist noted, “…since newspersons deal in daily atrocity and gore from the likes of wars, famines, and hurricanes, it’s hard to understand why they all drive out to gawk at the law-breaking foreigners Americans feed, give medical care to, clothe, protect, and transport, but want to stay as far away as possible from other vulnerable people our society allows to have their heads mortally pierced with scissors or a scalpel inside their own mother’s wombs.”

It would appear Torres alienated her constituents well before yesterday’s reprehensible remarks:

Carly Rose To The Occasion Lapping The Field

A scrapper with true grit, Carly Fiorina took the stage at the Reagan Presidential Library for the second GOP debate and drew her sword.  Brit Hume and a whole host of male pundits criticized Fiorina’s failure to smile noting that she came across as too aggressive and lacking humor.

Geez boys.  I find nothing humorous about mutilating babies to harvest their organs, the national debt, the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran, Putin’s incursions into Syria, the growing Islamic Caliphate, drug addiction and the culture of corruption in politics.  How about coming to terms with the fact that she had to show her toughness on stage?

On six morning talk shows today Fiorina said, “This is going to be a fight.  If you can’t fight on a debate stage, you can’t stand up and fight for the American people.”  She went on to say, “It’s only a woman whose appearance would be talked about when running for president—never a man.”  She added, “The point is, women are half this nation.  Women are half the potential of this nation.  Still somehow we spend a lot of time talking about women’s appearance instead of their qualifications.” [Damn right.]

John Podhoretz praised her performance noting, “At almost any moment that she managed to seize time to speak—and she was compelled by the structure of the debate to interrupt repeatedly to get that time—she knocked it out of the park.”

One über-liberal pundit wrote, "If you right wingers get your act together and nominate Carly, you win."

Byron York, writing for The Washington Examiner felt Carly had four “big moments” in the debate.

The first came when Fiorina turned a meandering conversation about Vladimir Putin into a crisp recitation of what a new commander in chief should do about Russian aggression:

"What I would do, immediately, is begin rebuilding the Sixth Fleet, I would begin rebuilding the missile defense program in Poland, I would conduct regular, aggressive military exercises in the Baltic States. I'd probably send a few thousand more troops into Germany. Vladimir Putin would get the message. By the way, the reason it is so critically important that every one of us know General Soleimani's name is because Russia is in Syria right now, because the head of the Quds force traveled to Russia and talked Vladimir Putin into aligning themselves with Iran and Syria to prop up Bashar al-Assad."

"We could rebuild the Sixth Fleet. I will. We haven't. We could rebuild the missile defense program. We haven't. I will. We could also, to Senator Rubio's point, give the Egyptians what they've asked for, which is intelligence. We could give the Jordanians what they've asked for, bombs and materiel. We have not supplied it. I will. We could arm the Kurds. They've been asking us for three years. All of this is within our control."

Fiorina had packed more policy prescriptions into one brief statement—all while throwing in a dig at Donald Trump with the reference to knowing "General Soleimani's name"—than any other candidate onstage could muster.

Any other campaign might have dispatched spinners to celebrate the moment. But Fiorina was just getting started. Next came an epic and out-of-the-blue connection of two of the issues about which there is a lot of agreement among Republicans—Iran's nuclear ambitions and the scandal over Planned Parenthood's sale of body parts. How to put those two together?

"I would like to link these two issues. One has something to do with the defense of the security of this nation. The other has something to do with the defense of the character of this nation. You have not heard a plan about Iran from any politician up here, here is my plan. On day one in the Oval Office, I will make two phone calls, the first to my good friend to Bibi Netanyahu to reassure him we will stand with the state of Israel."

"The second, to the supreme leader, to tell him that unless and until he opens every military and every nuclear facility to real anytime, anywhere inspections by our people, not his, we, the United States of America, will make it as difficult as possible and move money around the global financial system."

"We can do that; we don't need anyone's cooperation to do it. And every ally and every adversary we have in this world will know that the United States in America is back in the leadership business, which is how we must stand with our allies."

"As regards Planned Parenthood, anyone who has watched this videotape, I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, it's heart beating, it's legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain. This is about the character of our nation, and if we will not stand up in and force President Obama to veto this bill, shame on us."

The power of Fiorina's presentation simply knocked out a lot of viewers. Conservative writer Mollie Hemingway, who has been pressing the media to pay more attention to the Planned Parenthood videos, was left nearly speechless, tweeting "THANK YOU CARLY. THANK YOU CARLY. THANK YOU CARLY." 

But Fiorina's most intense big moment was still to come—and it was by far the briefest. Everyone knew that Donald Trump's insults about Fiorina's looks—the "Look at that face. Would anyone vote for that?" quote from Trump in a recent Rolling Stone article—would come up in the debate. It did, when moderator Jake Tapper read it to Fiorina and noted Trump's explanation that he was not talking about Fiorina's actual face but rather her "persona."

"Please feel free to respond what you think about his persona," Tapper said to Fiorina. Referring to an earlier spat between Trump and Jeb Bush over a Bush statement about women's health, Fiorina answered:

"You know, it's interesting to me. Mr. Trump said that he heard Mr. Bush very clearly and what Mr. Bush said. I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said."

Fiorina's answer took just a few seconds, but it knocked Trump flat—something that has not happened in any debate, or any other campaign event, so far. Trump, who has made it a habit not to apologize for attacks and to double down when challenged, surrendered completely. But he managed to do it in a way that did him no good at all. "I think she's got a beautiful face," Trump said, "and I think she's a beautiful woman." Did anyone believe that? And wasn't he still saying her appearance is an issue?

Finally, Fiorina lapped the field when Tapper asked the candidates to suggest a woman to put on the $10 bill. Most of the men onstage were unprepared for the question.  When the question came to the only woman on the stage, Fiorina rejected its premise.

Four big moments in one debate. No other candidate had that.

Perusing the web Sunday morning and settling on reviewing what Real Clear Politics had to offer, I found a link to National Review correspondent Kevin D. Williamson’s article, “Twilight of the Froot Loops.”

Many across the Leftist blogosphere have eviscerated Mr. Williamson for his stance on abortion—the same crowd that under-reported the slaughterhouse run by Dr. Kermit Gosnell because it was a testament to the butchery of abortions.  While his ideology may seem harsh at times, he stands on the side of pro-life issues. 

Having said that, the midterm election is Tuesday and the Great State of Texas has been embroiled in a malicious gubernatorial race between the darling of Planned Parenthood and abortion advocates and a wheelchair-bound man.

Wendy Davis is the Democrat Party’s star in deep red Texas who jumped into the governor’s race after gaining national attention for filibustering a restrictive abortion measure.  Democrats have dreamed of turning the state blue.

Rarely have I read a more consummate disemboweling of a public personality:

“I note that the implosion of Wendy Davis’s ugly and vacuous gubernatorial campaign in Texas has been a satisfying spectacle. On Tuesday, it is all but inevitable that Greg Abbot’s campaign and Texas voters are going to beat Wendy Davis like a circus monkey, and it will be her second significant defeat in the campaign: She ran triumphantly unopposed in the New York Times primary, with Robert Draper all but kissing the hem of her garment, but she took a beating in the Rio Grande primary, with her penniless nobody opponent outperforming her in critical border counties that had gone heavily for Barack Obama in the presidential elections.

Her candidacy was the product of abortion fanaticism and almost nothing else. Texas Democrats have a pronounced weakness for abortion fanaticism, an inclination having something to do with their being fascinated by the grotesque line of succession from the late Governor Ann Richards, abortion fanatic par excellence, to her daughter, Cecile, the butcher’s apprentice who today serves as the public face of Planned Parenthood.

That being said, there is something special about the fanaticism of Wendy Davis, because there is something special about abortion fanaticism. There are people of good faith and defective judgment on the pro-choice side of the argument, and then there are lunatics. I was at a party some years ago and winced as a 100 percent pro-choice Democratic member of the Pennsylvania state house, attempting to have an earnest discussion of the abortion question with me, was interrupted primly by his fanatical girlfriend every time he pronounced the descriptor “pro-life”—“anti-choice!” she insisted, at least 20 times over the course of a conversation that lasted maybe as many minutes. The bravest of soldiers fighting in the best of causes can concede that war is hell, full of mistakes and moral compromises, but the abortion fanatic cannot concede that over the normal course of human affairs every abortion represents a failure and a tragedy, something that should be obvious even to people who support abortion rights. 

But there is no reasoning with a fanatic. Barring some unforeseen outbreak of mass asininity, there’s no electing one governor of Texas, either.

There Are Monsters Out There

I will not apologize for the macabre use of a mangled, aborted infant in the Photoshop™ of “President Infanticide”.  The image of the child is but one of thousands of such grisly examples of late-term abortions.  It is intended to shock the senses.

I chose to juxtapose the two images seen here because I am weary of the cold-bloodedness of America’s president.  You will remember that on the campaign trail in Johnstown, PA in early 2008 Senator Barack Hussein Obama addressed a woman’s passionate plea to “stop the abortions” with: 

"Look, I got two daughters—9 years old and 6 years old.  I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby.”  [Emphasis mine.]

And I am weary of the legion of men and women who comprise Gosnell’s pro-abortion allies in the media and in government who allowed this butcher to act with impunity.  In my view, even the eyewitness accounts of Gosnell’s barbarism is not enough to make this president stop his obstinate defense of Planned Parenthood.

Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser reasons, “So committed to every abortion, this President is committed even to the failed ones…He would allow only the abortionist, the one who guaranteed a dead baby, to provide intensive care to the most vulnerable babies imaginable. Why? He explained it would threaten abortion rights generally. This is uncommon heartlessness.”

At the conclusion of Obama’s speech to Planned Parenthood last week he said, “As long as we’ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a president who’s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way. Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.”

This is who sits in the Oval Office.

The following is excerpted from District Attorney R. Seth William’s Report to the Grand Jury:

“This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy—and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels—and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.” 

“The clinic reeked of animal urine, courtesy of the cats that were allowed to roam (and defecate) freely. Furniture and blankets were stained with blood. Instruments were not properly sterilized. Disposable medical supplies were not disposed of; they were reused, over and over again. Medical equipment—such as the defibrillator, the EKG, the pulse oximeter, the blood pressure cuff—was generally broken; even when it worked, it wasn’t used. The emergency exit was padlocked shut. And scattered throughout, in cabinets, in the basement, in a freezer, in jars and bags and plastic jugs, were fetal remains. It was a baby charnel house.”

According to the timeline cover-up, the Pennsylvania Department of Health granted approval for the accused baby butcher to provide abortions in December 1979.

On November 25^th, 2009 the butcher of Lancaster Avenue submitted an application to become a member of the National Abortion Federation.  The NAF evaluator found deplorable conditions and rejected his application, but failed to report the clinic’s abysmal conditions to any oversight agencies.

On March 12, 2010 the Department of Health filed papers to begin the process of shutting down the clinic.

In the documentary 3801 Lancaster, “Makeda”, a former Gosnell patient whose identity is shrouded in darkness in the film says, “There are monsters out there.”

Makeda is right.  Gosnell cannot be the only sociopathic doctor left willing to hack alive innocents; to snip their spinal cords or leave them to drown in a toilet or store their dismembered body parts in jars.

These women were seeking a “medical treatment” that involved the murder of babies under the guise of “reproductive freedom”.

Gosnell profited $10,000 to $15,000 a day at his late-term abortion clinic—not including the $200,000 he made from writing 2,300 illegal prescriptions for Oxycontin and other addictive drugs.  What we have here is a monster in a major American city running a slaughterhouse.

That’s some freedom you got there ladies.

Does life in the 21^st century mean that in order to be a woman she must include the act of murder?

I was dazed when I heard that Alisa LaPolt Snow, a lobbyist for the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified before a committee in the Florida House of Representatives last week against legislation crafted to protect the life of an infant born alive after a botched abortion.

Found at the PPA website is the following opinion of the abortion mill organization regarding HB 1129 “Infants Born Alive”:

This legislation is politically motivated and inflammatory language.  It inserts politics where it doesn’t belong by implying doctors and women who end a pregnancy can’t be trusted. Legislation should not be created with the intent of coercing, shaming, or judging a woman or doctor. It is important that abortion remain a safe and legal medical procedure for a woman to consider with her doctor, if and when she needs it.

Snow’s macabre rationalization had one legislator utterly dumbfounded.  He asked, "So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I'm almost in disbelief. If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?"

Snow answered that her organization "believes that any decision that's made should be left up to the woman, her family and the physician."

Another legislator followed up, asking Snow, "You stated that a baby born alive on a table as a result of a botched abortion that that decision should be left to the doctor and the family. Is that what you’re saying?”

Again, Snow replied, “That decision should be between the patient and the health care provider.”

That prompted the legislator to incredulously ask, “I think that at that point the patient would be the child struggling on the table, wouldn’t you agree?”

Snow nervously responded, “That’s a very good question. I really don’t know how to answer that. I would be glad to have some more conversations with you about this.”

So inept and ghoulish was this woman’s testimony that on April 1, 2013 Planned Parenthood issued the following statement:

Last week, a panel of Florida state legislators demanded speculation about a vague set of extremely unlikely and highly unusual medical circumstances.  Medical guidelines and ethics already compel physicians facing life-threatening circumstances to respond, and Planned Parenthood physicians provide high-quality medical care and adhere to the most rigorous professional standards, including providing emergency care. In the extremely unlikely event that the scenario presented by the panel of legislators should happen, of course Planned Parenthood would provide appropriate care to both the woman and the infant.

The abortion mills of Planned Parenthood are in the hot seat because they and all the other abortion rights absolutists are reading the sickening headlines about Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortion doctor on trial for his life.  He faces seven counts of first-degree murder of infants born during illegal late-term abortions killed when he “snipped their necks with surgical scissors.”

A woman’s right to choose should be before she spreads her legs, not after the fact.  The wrong choice drives them to abortion, infanticide, prostitution and self-destruction.

Hell, meet handbasket.
