Mean Tweets: Donald Trump Edition

If you watched last night’s GOP debate you were witness to a yuuuuuuge blunder by none other than Donald Trump.

Hugh Hewitt, conservative talk show host for the Salem Radio Network and one of the moderators of the debate, asked The Donald a question that clearly flummoxed the arrogant real estate mogul.
HEWITT:  Mr. Trump—Dr. Carson just referenced the single most important job of the president, the command and the control and the care of the military forces. The triad, the missiles and submarines are aging out. It’s an executive order. What is your priority?

TRUMP:  Well first of all, I think we absolutely need someone we can trust who is totally responsible who knows what he or she is doing that is so powerful and so important. And one of the things that I’m frankly most proud of is that in 2003, 2004, I was against going into Iraq because you are going to destabilize the Middle East. I called it, I called it very strongly and it was very important. But we have to be extremely vigilant and careful when it comes to nuclear. Nuclear changes the whole ball game. I would have said get out of Syria, get out. If we didn’t have the power of weaponry today, the power is so massive that we can’t just leave areas that 50 years ago or 75 years ago we wouldn’t care, it was hand-to-hand combat.

The biggest problem this world has today is not President Obama with global warming, which is inconceivable; this is what he’s saying. The biggest problem we have today is nuclear proliferation and some maniac, having some madman go out and get a nuclear weapon. In my opinion, that is the single biggest problem that our country faces right now.
HEWITT:  Of the three legs of the triad though, do you have a priority?
TRUMP: For me, nuclear, the power, the devastation, is very important to me.
HEWITT:  Senator Rubio, do you have a response?
RUBIO:  I do. Well first, let’s explain to people at home what the triad is. Maybe a lot of people have not heard that terminology before. The triad is the ability of the United States to conduct nuclear attacks using airplanes, using missiles launched from silos from the ground and from our nuclear subs. And it’s important, all three are critical. It gives us the ability at deterrence. Now, some are more critical than others. For example, the submarines. And that’s the Ohio class submarine that needs to be modernized. The air component also needs to be modernized. The B-52, as someone earlier pointed out, is an outdated model that was flown by the grandparents of the people flying it now. And we need a serious modernization program of our [cyber launch?] missiles as well.
In August of this year Hewitt, while interviewing Trump on “Things 2016”, asked him the same question which he could not answer.  Did he forget?  Seems implausible given the serious nature of nuclear weaponry.  But that’s just me.

Are you Trump fans paying attention?  I pray to God you are.

So the next time Mr. Trump brashly calls someone a dummy, he should be reminded of his own ignorance.

Now Playing

Soetoro Pictures and Barry’s Strategy World is now playing in theaters in Real D, 3D and IMAX theaters.  It opened Monday when The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer, speaking at the end of the G7 Summit in Germany, created a political problem for himself when he said, “We don’t have a complete strategy yet” for combating ISIS (or as he likes to say, ISIL).

What has the JV president been doing for the last 10 months about the JV team savages?  Not a damned thing.
With the capture of Palmyra last month, ISIS controls 50 percent of Syria and this administration has stood motionless as Iraq and Syria have descended into violence and become a breeding ground for Islamist radical terrorists.  The U.S. Mideast policy, after seven years of ineptitude, is in shambles. And now, Australia’s Foreign Minister told Britain’s Independent that ISIS has “enough radioactive material from government facilities to build a large and devastating dirty bomb.”

Looks like the JV Team is going nuclear all because The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer chose to walk away from a war that was already won in Iraq.

Curmudgeonly Cartoon: Ketchup Boy Needs A Hug

GENEVA—U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met Monday with this Russian counterpart in what appeared to be less than amicable talks amid continuing tensions over Ukraine and American calls for a full probe into the murder of a prominent opposition figure [Boris Nemtsov] in Moscow.
Neither Kerry nor Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov smiled or spoke substantively as they shook hands before photographers at a Geneva hotel on Monday, less than a week after Kerry told Congress that Russian officials have lied to his face about Moscow's role in Ukraine.
That comment drew a rebuke from the Russian foreign ministry. U.S. officials have pointed out that Kerry did not specifically accuse Lavrov of lying to him. They say he was referring to public statements and media reports, although Lavrov is the only Russian official Kerry is known to have met face-to-face in recent months. The pair last met in February on the sidelines of an international security conference in Munich shortly before a new Ukraine ceasefire agreement was reached.
