Free And Diverse Speech Online

President Trump traveled to Cape Canaveral for the historic launching of two American astronauts from American soil in an America rocket for the first time in nearly a decade.  NASA and SpaceX had to postpone the launch due to inclement weather.

On the return flight to Washington, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany announced to reporters while on Air Force One that the President plans to sign an executive order today aimed at social media companies that stifle, even censor conservative voices on their platform.

The President and his supporters were outraged when Twitter labeled a pair of his tweets about mail-in ballots with a fact-checking notice for the first time on Tuesday.  He pledged then that “big action” would follow.

The EO seeks to target the online industry's prized liability shield over user-generated content, Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. The 1996 law broadly protects websites from lawsuits over what their users post, and for taking good-faith efforts to curb illicit material.

Sen. Josh Hawley (Mo.) wrote in a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Wednesday the company's “decision to editorialize regarding the content of political speech raises questions about why Twitter should continue receiving special status and special immunity from publisher liability under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. "And he later teased on social media plans for a separate proposal to "end these special government giveaways."

"If Twitter wants to editorialize and comment on users’ posts, it should be divested of its special status under federal law (Section 230) and forced to play by same rules as all other publishers. Fair is fair," Hawley tweeted.

The Bedwetter

Fox Business Network host Neil Cavuto was shocked, shocked I tell you, over President Trump’s nonchalant announcement Monday that he is taking hydroxychloroquine along with zinc as a preventative measure against the pandemic Chinese Lung Rot.

“Whatever benefit the President says this has — and certainly has had for those suffering from malaria, dealing with lupus — this is a leap that should not be taken casually by those watching at home or assuming, ‘well, the President of the United States says it’s okay.”

“Those who took it, in a vulnerable population, including those with respiratory or other conditions, they died. I want to stress again — they died. If you are in a risky population here and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus or, in a worst-case scenario, you are dealing with the virus, and you are in this vulnerable population, it will kill you. I cannot stress that enough. This will kill you.”

For the record, President Trump receives the highest caliber medical care on planet Earth.  You can read the Physician to the President Dr. Sean Conley’s memo regarding his taking the drug.
At least two White House staffers tested positive for the coronavirus this month, both of whom had access to the President: his Navy valet who serves him meals and Vice President Mike Pence's Press Secretary Katie Miller.

I want to point out that “Karen” Cavuto interviewed Dr. Bob Lahita who towed the fear-mongering line we’ve all heard for weeks now.
But then those dire warnings were torched when Dr. Janette Nesheiwat declared she thought the President’s decision to try the drug as a preventative measure was “very smart.” She added, “I think it is good to have this medication in our toolbox along with remdesivir while we wait for a vaccine to become approved.”
There is no such thing as an infallible doctor .

It is abundantly clear that COVID-19 has become highly politicized.  It is frightening to think that a patient/physician decision on a regimen of treatment must become a political football.
Take for instance the interference being run against Dallas physician, Dr. Ivette Lozano.

Lozano told Texas Scorecard she encountered the loss of liberty in her medical practice as she treated patients infected with the coronavirus. “One hundred percent of my patients have recovered very nicely,” she said. “Within 24 to 48 hours, all symptoms are gone with medications that cost about $25-30 in pharmacies.”

Lozano soon found herself hitting a brick wall in the form of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. “All of these pharmacies, and all of these pharmacists, have requested that when I write that prescription for hydroxychloroquine, it be submitted with a diagnosis or the medication is not filled,” Lozano said. “The pharmacy board actually passed a mandate for the pharmacist that every time this medication is written, you have to ask and document the actual diagnosis.”

That mandate is unlawful according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.

The bottom line is do not take any medication without consulting with your primary care physician or specialist first.

I used to write “Be well” whenever I would post comments at blogs I frequently visit at the height of this god-awful pandemic.  I no longer do so.  Instead, I write “Be free.”

Saturday Satire

On Thursday, MSNBC’s resident lunatic, Lawrence O’Donnell hosted “A Last Word Special: Joe Biden with Stacey Abrams”.  This was little more than a casting call for the morbidly obese, gap-toothed pushy broad who is weaseling her way into Uncle Joe’s VP selection.

“Only in America, is jogging in 2020 while black and sleeping while black a cause for killing," Abrams said. "Our ability to vote is exactly how to solve one of the challenges that the Vice President lifts up—we have to have the ability to elect district attorneys who actually respect our people, that we can elect people as our sheriffs that actually execute laws properly. That is what we have to take to the voting booth in November and into the presidency and into the White House in January."

Democrats should be wary if they expect her to be Joe’s caretaker while in office.  Joe will starve to death because this gal can pack away the snacks.

Poor Joe Biden.  He’s grounded by the coronavirus and facing tough questions about his role in the “Obamagate” scandal that could keep him in his basement all summer.

Biden is one of several Obama Administration officials who asked to “unmask” the identity of former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn in late 2016 and early 2017, when then-President-Elect Trump was about to take power.

"I was never a part or had any knowledge of any criminal investigation into Flynn while I was in office. Period. Not one single time."

My reference to Spy Vs Spy may be a little too much boomer for some, but Biden has never been good at answering uncomfortable questions.  Fact is, any damned question can trip him up.  Better stay in that basement Joe.  It’s not safe to come out and I’m not talking about the Chinese Lung Rot.

President Trump pressed Sen. Lindsey Graham who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee to call The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer to testify about the attempted coup against his presidency and the efforts to unmask Gen. Mike Flynn.
The list of Obama officials who requested to unmask Flynn’s identity included Biden, Comey, Brennan, Clapper and then-Chief of Staff Denis McDonough.  The list was declassified by Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Rick Grenell.  Unfortunately, Miss Graham reverted to his former McCain ask-kissing days expressing reluctance to call the former president to testify.

In July of 2019, Vice President Mike Pence was at Cape Canaveral to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing in 1969.  He said, “If Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Mike Collins are not heroes, then there are no heroes. Apollo 11 is the only event in the 20th century that stands a chance of being widely remembered in 30th century.”

I hard to argue with his assessment unless you’re talking about Capt. Mark Kelly.

Kelly, an astronaut himself and husband to Gabby Giffords, is running for Senate from the state of Arizona.  He’s running as a Democrat.  His party affiliation is hardly the problem.  His allegiance to America has come under scrutiny.

Coming at a time of heightened tensions between President Trump and the Communist Chinese government, we are learning Kelly’s company spent years flaunting its ties to Chinese investors Tencent and WeChat.  Both companies are guilty of espionage.  The good people of Arizona and this nation cannot trust Kelly to deliver on his promises or keep America safe from communist influence.

The worst part of Kelly’s relationship with China is his company's hot air balloons take better surveillance photos of the earth than satellites. And now he’s given a stake in that technology to Red China.

The contest between Kelly and Martha McSally is among the handful of races nationally expected to determine control of the Senate next year.  I want Arizonans to take heed of this disturbing revelation and cast their votes for McSally.  His betrayal of America cannot stand.

Goodnight Moonface

Some things in life defy logic. One of the things that always mystified me was the marriage of Republican strategist Mary Matalin to gollum look-alike James Carville.

Carville is best known for his work as the lead strategist on former President Bill Clinton’s successful 1992 presidential campaign. Matalin served as a key strategist for the Republican National Committee under three Republican presidents, including Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

No less mystifying is the marriage of Kellyanne Conway and lawyer hubby George.

George Conway's anti-Trump political action committee, The Lincoln Project, released an advertisement Monday demonizing President Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic and questioning the vitality of America as a nation if he is reelected in six months.

The title of the spot is a play on one of the most famous political ads of the modern era, 1984’s “Morning in America” from President Ronald Reagan’s re-election campaign.

The Lincoln Project ad is unadulterated delusion and disgraces the namesake of the 16th President of the United States.  Here’s the transcript:
“There’s mourning in America. Today, more than 60,000 Americans have died from a deadly virus Donald Trump ignored. With the economy in shambles, more than 26 million Americans are out of work—the  worst economy in decades. Trump bailed out Wall Street, but not Main Street. This afternoon, millions of Americans will apply for unemployment, and with their saving run out, many are giving up hope. Millions worry that a loved one won’t survive COVID-19. There’s mourning in America, and under the leadership of Donald Trump, our country is weaker and sicker and poorer. And now, Americans are asking, if we have another four years like this, will there even be an America?”
Democrats and never-Trumpers are all about lies. It’s the only playbook they follow and to no one’s surprise, The Lincoln Project ad drew the ire of Trump.

In a series of tweets, the President noted, “A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, 'Morning in America', doing everything possible to get even for all of their many failures. You see, these loser types don't care about 252 new Federal Judges, 2 great Supreme Court Justices, a rebuilt military, a protected 2nd Amendment, biggest EVER Tax & Regulation cuts, and much more. I didn't use any of them because they don't know how to win, and their so-called Lincoln Project is a disgrace to Honest Abe. I don't know what Kellyanne did to her deranged loser of a husband, Moonface, but it must have been really bad. John Weaver lost big for Kasich (to me). Crazed Rick Wilson lost for Evan 'McMuffin' McMullin (to me). Steve Schmidt & Reed Galvin lost for John McCain, Romney's campaign manager (?) lost big to 'O', & Jennifer Horn got thrown out of the New Hampshire Republican Party. They're all LOSERS, but Abe Lincoln, Republican, is all smiles!”
There’s a lot to unpack there, but Trump is right.
In a prolonged interview on Sunday night with Fox News from the Lincoln Memorial, the President criticized the “hostile press” before pointing up at the memorial and saying he has been treated worse as president than was Abraham Lincoln.

George Conway helped start The Lincoln Project in December 2019 with other anti-Trump Republicans to derail his reelection. The left seized on Trump’s description of Conway calling it a racist slur completely ignoring the fact that the term “moonface” is a medical term used to describe a rounded appearance due to fat deposits on the sides of the face.
The Lincoln Project isn’t just running anti-Trump advertisements. They’ve also produced ads supporting the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, Joe Biden, and endorsed him last month in a Washington Post op-ed.

“We’ve never backed a Democrat for president,” they wrote. “But Trump must be defeated.”

Dear Diary: I Took A Nut Shot From The President

In the Rose Garden yesterday, President Trump announced the United States has tested one million people for COVID-19 and unveiled a new rapid test kit manufactured by Abbott Laboratories which delivers a negative result in 13 minutes when the virus is not detected.

Also during the Coronavirus Task Force press conference, he announced Ford Motor Company is repurposing an auto parts factory west of Detroit to start building simple ventilators to treat patients diagnosed with the virus.

CNN was allowed admittance to the presser.  It was towards the end of the briefing the President called on Jim Acosta.  “Go ahead, let’s give it a shot,” he said.

The arrogant sumbitch mentioned a number of statements the President had made about the virus in recent weeks before asking, “What do you say to Americans who believe that you got this wrong?”

"If you look at those individual statements, they are all true. 'Stay calm. It will go away.' You know, it is going away. And it will go away, and we're going to have a great victory,'" the President said. "It’s people like you and CNN that say things like that. It’s why people just don’t want to listen to CNN anymore."

"I don't want panic in the country. I could cause panic much better than even you," he said. "I would make you look like a minor league player, but you know what? I don't want to do that. I want to have our country be calm. Instead of asking a nasty, snarky question like that, you should ask a real question."

The Clusterf**k President Trump Inherited

President Trump has pointed out that he “inherited” a woefully under-prepared system to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. The Washington Examiner highlighted reports from the Los Angeles Times and Bloomberg News which attempted to criticize the President but buried an important piece of information about the mask shortages. It turns out the Obama Administration is squarely at fault for the current lack of N95 masks, not President Trump.

Last Thursday, after a growing swell of questions arose asking, “Where’s Joe?” the former Vice President tweeted:
The deliberately incurious Democrat Media Complex never questioned The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer for ANYTHING. EVER.

Lo and behold, from a source you would never expect, The Washington Post reported last week, “After Barack Obama became President in 2009, he eliminated the White House Health and Security Office, which worked on international health issues. But after grappling with the 2014 Ebola epidemic, Obama in 2016 established a Directorate for Global Health Security and Biodefense at the NSC. A directorate has its own staff, and it is headed by someone who generally reports to the National Security Adviser.”

The H1N1 outbreak originated in Mexico. Despite calls from members of Congress to do so, the Obama Administration refused to restrict travel with Mexico or close the border.

President Trump proved that theory wrong when he took the bold step of banning travel from China back in January. He got torched for it. Barely a month later, World Health Organization experts admitted it worked and saved lives. America has not, at least to this point, experienced the catastrophic outbreaks seen in Italy and Iran.

After 100 million masks were used in the H1N1 outbreak in 2009, it was strongly recommended the Obama Administration replenish the masks.  Obama and Biden blew it off. Charles Johnson, President of the International Safety Equipment Association said, “our Association is unaware of any major effort to restore the stockpile to cover that draw-down. ”The outbreak “caused a 2 to 3-year backlog of orders for the N95 variety [respirator face masks],” adding “the stockpile distributed about three-quarters of its inventory and didn’t build back the supply.”

The media’s blind rage and fatal arrogance compels them to repeatedly denigrate President Trump for his handling of this pandemic.  Don’t be fooled.  They want you ignorant and terrified.  They think you’re stupid.

But wait.  There’s more.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is now turning to targeting President Trump as part of its global disinformation campaign by aggressively pushing the narrative that this is the “Trump Pandemic.”

China’s state-run Global Times newspaper in a March 22 article, titled “Trump Pandemic Rages,” attacked the President’s response to the Chinese virus and promoted the anti-Trump hashtags (#Trumpandemic and #TrumpVirus)—claiming Trump has now “run into a brick wall.”

There is a direct relationship between the brutal and oppressive nature of the communist regime and the global spread of COVID-19.

Internal government documents have highlighted how the Red Chinese purposefully underreported cases of the Wuhan virus and censored discussions of the outbreak, helping to fuel the spread of the disease, which is now confirmed to have infected more than 383,000 people internationally according to data from the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University as of 5:28 AM on March 24, 2020.

It Is Better To Remain Silent And Be Thought A Fool Than To Speak And Remove All Doubt

Bless his heart.  Wanting desperately to appear presidential, Sleepy Joe Biden issued a statement calling out the Trump Administration’s so-called “inaction” to the growing pandemic and pressing him to invoke the Defense Production Act to meet the increasing demand for life-saving hospital equipment.
Babbling Biden said, “Prioritize and immediately increase domestic production of any critical medical equipment required to respond to this crisis.”
President Trump had already declared his intention to invoke the Defense Production Act as part of America’s war against the coronavirus.  The 1950 Act grants the President broad authority to mobilize the private sector to manufacture emergency materials for the purpose of national defense and national security.
“Right after we finish this [press] conference,” the President said, “I’ll be signing it and it’s ready to go.  There’s never been an instance like this where no matter what you have it’s never enough.  If we need to use it, we’ll be using it at full speed ahead.”

More than 50 Democrats sent a letter to the President urging him to invoke the Defense Production Act.  Something tells me when the President cleaned out that viper’s nest when he got rid of Lt. Col. Vindman and his twin brother from the NSC the pipeline of leaks was shut off and the Democrats did not count on the President taking the action.  They thought they had him.  President Trump outfoxed them good and hard.

Deplorable Hillbillies, Trump And The Daytona 500

When John Roberts, Chief White House Correspondent for Fox News, tweeted a “scoop” that multiple sources had informed him President Trump would be taking a lap in the presidential limo known as “The Beast” at the Daytona 500 NASCAR race, a snooty elite from New Jersey, Emily Cahn, weighed in with her own judgmental tweet, “You thought an event couldn’t get any trashier and then...”

The race today is the season opener for the NASCAR Cup Series.  It has opened the racing season every February since 1982.  My dad’s favorite driver was Richard Petty.  Petty owns a series-best seven Daytona 500 victories.

President Trump will give the command to start engines 3:06 PM. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 3:18 PM.

President Reagan became the first sitting president to attend a NASCAR race in 1984. President George H.W. Bush attended a race in 1992 as well, but not the Daytona 500.

“We’ve been coming down here since 1959,” says “King Richard” Petty, who’s seen ’em all and won seven of them. “Nobody really knows who’s where, what’s going on. Even after you practice, qualify, run a couple of races and stuff, it’s still not like the 500. That’s a completely different animal.”

This one figures to be even more different than usual, considering a presidential visit that will swallow most early-day attention. Given President Trump’s affinity for “huge” events, he’ll undoubtedly be happy to know this year’s Daytona 500 is the richest in history.

A race that started in 1959 with a purse of $53,050, that first cracked the $1 million mark in 1985, this year will reward the 40 participating race teams with a total of $23.6 million.

This is NASCAR’s crowning jewel and, for many, the only stock car race they’ll watch all year—similar to the Kentucky Derby and Super Bowl in that way. Using the modern world’s best barometer—TV ratings—the Daytona 500 long ago surpassed the granddaddy of them all, the Indy 500.

It got there by delivering thrills and spills, drama and theatrics, each and every time.

Baseball may be America's pastime, but when it comes to patriotism, nobody comes close to matching NASCAR. No other sport honors the flag or the military more than the crews of stock car racing.

Our betters on the left instantly connect NASCAR with country music and a bunch of deplorables. Just because someone likes something you don't doesn't mean your hobbies or interests are better or worse than anyone else's, it just means they’re different.

Where I come from, tolerance isn't race or age specific.  Unfortunately, it seems every year around this time I am reminded the same is true of intolerance.  Liberal, urban elites like dear sweet Emily are always criticizing honest, God-fearing, patriotic, NASCAR-loving Americans.

"The leader of our country is coming to the Daytona 500. How cool is that?" Cup Series Champion Joey Logano said. “That kind of solidifies what our sport is. It's a huge event. We're a big sport, and to be able to have the president come here, that's something we all should be proud of. Whether you support him or not, it doesn't matter. It shows the unity in our sport and how big our sport really is.”

The Daytona 500 is a sellout for the fifth consecutive year. The flyovers, the celebrities, the flutter of the flags are all a part of the pageantry for more than 100,000 fans at the kickoff of NASCAR's season.

Hell Yeah! 52 Fully-Armed F-35A Lightning II Stealth Fighters Ready To Strike

The 388th and 419th Fighter Wings of the U.S. Air Force performed a huge show of strength by launching more than 50 fully-armed F-35A Lightning II stealth fighters in a single wave following an “elephant walk” down the runway at Hill AFB in Utah yesterday.

The model is billed as the most advanced military aircraft ever sent into the skies with improved lethality, survivability and adaptability against emerging threats in order to maintain air superiority.
While the exercise had been planned for several months, the execution of it came in the same week America braces for Iran to respond to the drone strike killing of Gen. Soleimani.

Nine months ago, six F-35As left Hill AFB for Al Dhafra Air Base (see three maps of the region below) in the United Arab Emirates to participate in coalition air operations to take out ISIS militants.

Israel is already operating twelve of these stealth fighters.

Democrats Crossing The Line: Giving Aid And Comfort To America’s Sworn Enemies

During the 5 o’clock hour on Saturday, President Trump tweeted a thread that reads, “Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American, & badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime, including recently, hundreds of Iranian protesters. He was already attacking our Embassy and preparing for additional hits in other locations. Iran has been nothing but problems for many years. Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!”

Shortly thereafter, three dipshit Democrats aghast that Trump would take decisive action against a barbaric killer of American troops and innocents, chimed in to denounce the President’s warning.

Pocahontas tweeted, “You are threatening to commit war crimes. We are not at war with Iran. The American people do not want a war with Iran. This is a democracy. You do not get to start a war with Iran, and your threats put our troops and diplomats at greater risk. Stop.”

The Bronx Bolshevik tweeted, “This is a war crime. Threatening to target and kill innocent families, women and children—which is what you’re doing by targeting cultural sites—does not make you a ‘tough guy.’ It does not make you ‘strategic.’ It makes you a monster.”

Ilhan Omar (D-Somalia) of “some people did something” fame tweeted, “The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes on Twitter. God help us all! #25thAmendment”

I do not profess to be a scholar of the law or the Constitution, but I do know when elected officials of my government are giving aid and comfort to the sworn enemies of my country.  So, what does the U.S. Constitution tell us?

Article 3, Section 3, Clause 1 declares, that adhering to the enemies of the United States, giving them aid and comfort, shall be treason. Any act that deliberately strengthens or tends to strengthen enemies of United States or that weakens or tends to weaken the power of United States to resist and attack such enemies is characterized as aid and comfort.

Aid and comfort may consist of substantial assistance or the mere attempt to provide some support. Actual help or the success of the enterprise is not relevant. [emphasis mine]

During Droney McPeacePrize Obama’s two terms in office, he authorized 542 drone strikes killing an estimated 3,797 people, including 324 civilians in non-battlefield settings in Yemen, Pakistan and Somalia. He reportedly told senior aides in 2011, “Turns out I’m really good at killing people.  Didn’t know that was gonna be a strong suit of mine.”

And, who can forget the assassination of Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi in 2011?

Where was the outrage back then?  No one was clutching their pearls because it was their messiah; their Lightbringer.

General David Petreaus said in an interview with Foreign Policy magazine, “It is impossible to overstate the importance of this particular action [killing Quds commander Qassem Soleimani].  It is more significant than the killing of Osama bin Laden or even the death Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.”

Just when you thought the crybaby snowflakes on the left had reached peak retard enters corpulent tub of shit Michael Moore:
Following Iran’s boast it had placed an $80 million bounty on Trump’s head and threatened to attack the White House, the President tweeted:

After 40 years of a secret war that has been waged in the shadows, one thing is clear:  Iran thrives on threats to harass and intimidate its enemies.  It knows the regime will collapse if all-out war comes its way. It murdered 1,500 protesters in November precisely because they fear the rising anger of average people in Iran. Where was the spontaneous outpouring of anger over Soleimani’s death? There were no million-man protests in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran, of people rushing to the streets. They waited for the regime or their militia commanders to tell them how to protest. This is evidence that Iran’s role in the Middle East may be weakening and that even though it will respond, it must decide wisely how to do so.

President Trump has made certain of that.

Swamp Wars: The Rise Of Trump

When last we left a galaxy far, far away, rampant Trump Derangement Syndrome had landed a decisive blow against the forgotten men and women of America. However, a heroic act by Jedi Master Donald Trump to drain the swamp was set to inspire the deplorables to defeat the vast array of coastal elites hellbent in overturning an election through impeachment.

The Force be with you always.

A Christmas Carol For The Trump Era

On a frigid evening in the nation’s capital just days before Christmas, a mean-spirited and ruthless fibber named Adam Schiff works meticulously on a speech he plans to give on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Despite the harsh weather, Schiff refuses to pay for another lump of coal for the fireplace to warm his office.  His cruelty and bitterness have a chilling effect on his toiling staffers.

Suddenly, Eric Swalwell bursts into the office offering holiday greetings with an exclamatory, “Happy Festivus!”  The grumpy Schiff responds with “Bah! Humbug!” refusing to share in his Festivus cheer.

The hour is quite late, but Schiff follows his same old routine of taking dinner in his usual Beltway bar and returns home through the dank Washington streets.  Just before entering the house, the doorknocker on his front door, the same one he has passed through every day catches his attention.  A ghostly image in the curves of the knocker gives the scoundrel a momentary shock.  He looks away then refocuses and sees nothing but a doorknocker.

Slipping the key into the lock the doorknocker comes to life.  It’s the peering face of President Trump.  Unsettled by the vision, Schiff mutters to himself, “You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato.  There’s more gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!”

He plods up the wide staircase to his bedroom.  He prepares for bed when the carvings on his mantelpiece suddenly transform into visions of voters shouting their disgust with him and the role he has played in the impeachment proceedings.  Determined to dismiss the strange visions, blurts out, “Humbug!”

Moments later Schiff hears footsteps thumping up the stairs and, in a flash, a ghostly figure of Jonathan Turley floats through the closed and locked door.  He tells him he is there to save him from the growing contempt Americans have for all Democrats in 2020.

Turley leads Schiff to an open window and gestures to him to look out.  He sees a throng of spirits each of whom is bound in chains.  They wail about their failure to lead honorable lives and their obsession with impeaching a president simply because they hate him for winning in an electoral landslide.

Turley warns that Schiff will be visited by three spirits and quickly leaves him trembling alone in the dark.

In this retelling of the classic Dickens tale, the Spirit of Impeachment Past recounts Schiff’s egregious lies about the FISA warrants, the Russian witch hunt and the deceitful Articles of Impeachment he and his minions rammed through their committees.

At the stroke of one, a second spirit, the Spirit of Impeachment Present, appears before him.  He whisks him away to a number of Christmas gatherings of Americans who are better off than they were four years ago and are dismayed with the Democrat Party and their railroading of a duly elected president.  Finally, the Spirit takes him to the White House where President Trump is hard at work for the forgotten men and women of this country.  Schiff is bewildered at the sight.  He wonders aloud, “How, in the face of all the forces arrayed against this man, can he continue to successfully make the country great again?”

As the clock strikes two, Schiff is visited by a hooded phantom coming toward him.  Schiff kneels before him asking if he is the Spirit of Impeachment Yet To Come.

The menacing wraith takes Schiff to the New York Stock Exchange where a group of businessmen discuss the death of the economy; a dingy pawn shop on the Southside of Chicago where shady characters sell the personal effects from a dead man; the dinner table of a family who were forced to go back on food stamps and the husband and wife expressing relief at the death of an unforgiving man to whom they owed money.

Schiff struggles to understand the lesson of the silent ghost.  In that moment he finds himself in a churchyard where the Spirit points to a freshly dug grave.  Schiff draws nearer and reads the inscription on the headstone:  2020 General Election.

Schiff inquires if nothing can be done to change the future.  Mockingly, the ghost quotes the Mueller Report. “No collusion.  No obstruction.”  The ghost reminds him the Horowitz Report revealed his own lies about the FISA warrants and his contact with the whistleblower.

Unlike Scrooge who faced an imminent moral reckoning, our character is faced with the very real prospect of a quick death in the Senate of the Democrats’ impeachment dreams.  They do not have the bipartisan takedown of this president and the public tenaciously resists impeachment over the Ukraine fantasy.

In the end Tiny Tim, perched upon President Trump’s shoulders, shouts for all to hear “God bless us everyone!”
