Frau Blucher: Bowling At The White House

President Trump has invited members of the House Freedom Caucus, who are skeptical of the GOP Obamacare replacement plan, to the White House next week for a few frames of bowling.

The Republican replacement bill, the American Health Care Act, cleared hurdles in the House Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce Committees this week along strict party lines.  Speaker Ryan is hoping to bring the bill to the floor in the next few weeks.

Republicans have been vowing to repeal and replace the disastrous ObamaCare law since before it was passed seven years ago, and with Trump in the White House, GOP leaders on Capitol Hill are hoping to make good on their promise this year.

Frau Blucher (horses begin to whinny) is having none of it.  Speaking at a breakfast in Washington hosted by the Christian Science Monitor Nancy Pelosi sneeringly quipped, “If he’s in a deal-making mood does that mean bowling at the White House in return for legislation?  I mean, I find the charm offensive offensive.  I really do.”

“I think he’s making fools of his own people, quite frankly. You don’t agree philosophically in what the legislation is?  Let’s go bowling at the White House, OK?  Come on.” she added.

Nancy Pelosi must face so many intellectual challenges each day like breathing and blinking that just combing her hair is impossible.

Pelosi’s predictions about Teleprompter Jesus’s signature legislation have been egregiously erroneous.  For example:  by ramming Obamacare down our throats Democrats lost control of the House, she said Americans would eventually love the ACA but they don’t, she was convinced Hillary would win the presidency and Obamacare would be saved but she lost the election.

A few weeks ago Pelosi told some high-ranking members of Congress had Hillary won the election she would have left Washington DC safe in the knowledge that her legacy would be safe in Granny’s hands.  She, no doubt, would have been offered and ambassadorship to Rome and lived happily ever after.

Last year she almost lost her speakership.  She doesn’t have the sniveling Harry Reid or Teleprompter Jesus to help her do battle against the Republican majority.  What a pity. Said no one EVER.

What The Situation Requires, Of Course, Is A Stupid, Futile Gesture On Someone's Part

Today Democrats from both the House and Senate held a news conference following a meeting with The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer.  He came to Capitol Hill to stiffen the spines of his fellow Democrats to preserve his signature health care law.

Vice President-Elect Pence, in a separate news conference, stood firm telling Republicans repealing and replacing Obamacare was at the top of President-Elect Trump’s list noting, “We’re going to be in the promise-keeping business.  The American people voted decisively for a better future for health care in this country and we are determined to give them that.”

In the Democrats’ meeting, Obama urged his party's lawmakers to focus on emphasizing how the law has helped people. And he accepted some blame for not sufficiently promoting it.

It’s as if after ramming Obamacare down the throats of the American people in 2010 the Democrats were left measuring Neidermeyer’s horse to get the carcass out of Dean Wormer’s office following a prank-related accidental death in Animal House.  The two sides traded insults throughout the day.  They placed a placard on an easel bearing their new attack line: “Make America Sick Again.”
Meanwhile, the Senate voted 51-48 Wednesday to begin debating a budget that, once approved, will prevent Democrats from using a filibuster to block future Republican legislation to void the health care law. The Senate is expected to complete the budget by next week, with House approval to follow.

Who’s Up For A Game Of Jeopardy?

Remember how The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer repeatedly promised in his first term that if you liked your healthcare plan you could keep it? The media ate it up. So he actively campaigned on the line to get buy-in for Obamacare all the while knowing it was a pack of lies.

Aware that he’s killed the public’s trust in everything he utters he managed to con funnyman Bill Murray into appearing in a video with a painfully unimaginative ploy for the grim trudge across the increasingly barren Obamacare landscape.

Is anyone going to sign up because Bill Murray putted some golf balls in the Oval Office?  Nope. Don't think so.

Watch As Tucker Carlson Scorches Zeke Emanuel Over Doomed Obamacare

With help from Republican lawmakers, president-elect Trump will follow through on his campaign promise to get rid of Obamacare  His campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told "Fox News Sunday" the president-elect was considering convening a special session of Congress on the day he's sworn in to repeal Obamacare.

John Barrasso, an orthopedic surgeon for 24 years and the fourth-ranking member of the Senate GOP leadership, promised a smooth transition for the millions of Americans who receive health insurance through the laughably titled Affordable Care Act.  Barrasso reassured everyone they won’t be left out in the cold without coverage.

The weaselly brother of Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel owes America an apology for the rolling disaster of skyrocketing premiums, insurers pulling out of exchanges and rising costs of health care.

Of course, when the interviewers point out these facts “Zeke” always gets huffy and demands being allowed to filibuster.  He has said, “If we get rid of the exchanges, it’s going to be very hard to see how you get universal coverage.”

That’s the whole point.  Americans don’t want single payer health insurance like Great Britain or Canada and Trump promised to repeal and replace it.

And then there's this:

White House Admits Everything They Told Us About Obamacare Was A Big, Fat Lie

Testicular Absence

There has been a crescendo of voices calling for the firing of Speaker of the House John Boehner. The Speaker and the House GOP Steering Committee purged four conservative House members, two from the Budget Committee and two from the Financial Services Committee.

Boehner failed to effectively win negotiations with The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer and appointed moderate committee chairs. He pushed milquetoast policies like the tax hikes found in CRomnibus, the $1.1 trillion spending bill that failed to target TWMDCO’s executive action on immigration enforcement.

The Hill has an updated Whip list of the growing number of Republicans who say they will vote on Tuesday to deny him a third term as Speaker. The speakership vote takes place on the House floor and will be broadcast on C-SPAN.  He will need 217 votes.  If 29 Republicans vote against him he will lose his gavel.

Over the weekend, Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) and Louie Gohmert (R-TX) announced they would run for speaker against Boehner.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA), in a piece at Breitbart.com wrote, “The American voters elected 87 freshmen Republicans to the House of Representatives, every one pledged to repeal ObamaCare. Then, our soon to be Speaker told us we would not and could not use the Constitutional ‘power of the purse’ to block implementation of ObamaCare.

[SNIP]

I am convinced Congress will not be allowed to restore its Constitutional authority under his Speakership and by refusing to do so, cannot call upon the courts to do so. How then, can I take an oath to the Constitution and put up a vote for John Boehner, almost in the same breath?

Another Presidential Profanity-Laced Tirade And Gnashing Of Teeth?

By now we’ve all become familiar with retired ABC News journalist Ann Compton’s interview on C-SPAN wherein she revealed The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer launched into profanity-laced tirades over what he perceived as the press making too much of “scandals that he did not think were scandals.”

Yesterday MIT professor Jonathan Gruber was on the Hill for a hearing by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to explain his involvement in Obamacare and more specifically how and why he bragged about deceiving the American people about the law.

Gruber apologized.  He noted that over the past weeks a number of videos have emerged showing him “making a series of glib, thoughtless and sometimes downright insulting comments.”

The committee’s ranking member, Elijah Cummings (D-MD) deliberately threw the professor to the wolves:
“As far as I can tell we are here today to beat up on Jonathan Gruber for stupid, I mean absolutely stupid, comments he made over the past few years and then grill and grill Administrator Tavenner about what appears to be an inadvertent mistake in reporting ACA enrollment numbers.”
“This may be good political theater, but it will not help a single American get health insurance.  It will not help a single person get well.  It will not help a single person get the help that they need.  Let me clear, I am extremely frustrated with Dr. Gruber’s statements.  They were irresponsible, incredibly disrespectful and did not reflect reality.  They were indeed insulting.“
“I was in Congress when this law was debated and Dr. Gruber does not speak for me or the chairmen of the other committees who worked tirelessly on this bill.  We debated this legislation for nearly a year before it was finally passed and signed by the president.  We held 79 hearings and mark-ups in the House of Representatives alone.  Never once did I believe or did anyone suggest that we were somehow hiding our goals from the American people.  But worst of all, Dr. Gruber’s statements gave Republicans a public relations gift in their relentless political campaign to tear down the ACA and eliminate health care for millions of Americans.  You did a pretty good job.  You wrapped it up with a bow.”
The damage done to the regime cannot be undone.  His unguarded comments are counter to the White House’s bogus line on how the 2,700-page-long law, which is steeped in lies, came together.  Democrats, who are in deep trouble since losing the 2014 mid-terms, are strategically professing to accept Gruber’s new lies in order to shield Obamacare.  King v. Burwell may well be in jeopardy when the Supreme Court takes up the case.

I think it is a foregone conclusion that The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer launched a few more “profanity-laced tirades” following the hearing.

Gowdy To Gruber: Is Your Apology Because You Said It Or Because You Meant It?

What’s This? A Circus?

With more than a half-dozen videos surfacing in which MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber bragged about fooling the public about Obamacare, today he faces the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.  The hearing begins at 9:30 AM ET on C-SPAN 3.

Many have characterized his remarks about the purposeful lack of transparency and the “stupidity of the American voter” as gaffes.  His remarks may prove to be a fatal blunder that exposes just how bad the law is and may ultimately cause the damn thing to unravel.  It has most assuredly raised the public’s suspicions about the law and generated a palpable anger over the arrogance of this Administration.

Gruber is political poison.

Democrats have distanced themselves from Gruber since the release of the videos. The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer referred to him as “some adviser who never worked on our staff” who “expressed an opinion that I completely disagree with,” and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who was House speaker when the ACA passed, said she didn’t know who he was, despite having praised his work in 2009.

Jim Esquea, assistant secretary for legislation at HHS, wrote a letter begging to have Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn Tavenner seated separately from Gruber.  Esquea is scared silly that photographs taken of the two seated together would be a public relations nightmare for the regime.  O RLY?
Gruber, the self-described “ivory tower guy” had laid low since the videos became a flashpoint claiming, “Anything I say will just feed the haters.”
The Daily Caller is reporting that Tea Party Patriots will be handing out 250 t-shirts with Gruber’s likeness with the words “I’m With Stupid” to remind everyone why he will be at the hearing.

Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin told The Daily Caller, “With all that’s going on in the Capitol, we didn’t want Mr. Gruber’s curtain call to go unnoticed. We commemorated his appearance, and in the spirit of the Season, we’d like to offer the Obamacare architect a dozen. He can use them as stocking stuffers for the economically unsophisticated.”

Is 9:30 in the morning too early for popcorn?

Video: Don't Tell 'Em (Obamacare Version)

Via Reason TV

Laying Bare This Administration’s Contempt For Americans

Accepting the seductive comfort of self-delusion, this Administration’s apparatchik media shills have demonstrated since 2007 their incuriousness of the man they and they alone placed on a throne of lies.  Their requisite authority exists to deceive the public nowadays.

The lies are now piling thick, fast and mountain high.

The story of Obamacare is Machiavellian “Never attempt to win by force what can be won by deception.”

During a press conference at the G20 summit in Brisbane, Australia, The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer said Gruber was “some adviser who never worked on our staff.”

Gruber visited the White House more than a dozen times, according to official visitor logs. One of those meetings took place in the Oval Office with none other than TWMDCO.

The Gruber tapes were roiling the Internet by Veterans Day with only one news outlet covering the story.  Several days later CBS mentioned it on an early morning show.  By Sunday, Bob Schieffer of Face the Nation confessed he was “dumbstruck” by his “stupid American voters” comment opining, “What we have here is another example of the sorry state of American politics where people take money for things in which they don't believe and whether it's good for the American people is not even a question.  As for the president, he may want to consider that old politician's prayer—Lord, I can take care of my enemies, just protect me from my friends.”

Nine days after the shitstorm erupted, ABC and NBC decided to report on what actually lay behind the honeyed rhetoric—something Dr. Charles Krauthammer succinctly illustrated—“the arrogance of an academic liberalism, so perfectly embodied in the Gruber Confession, that rules in the name of a citizenry it mocks, disdains and deliberately, contemptuously deceives.”

Palace Intrigue

Three lefty websites are busy speculating the path of the 115th Congress now that the Republicans have seized control of the Senate, maintained control of the House and now have 31 Republican governors.  Obviously, they are trying to help steer a Democrat Party in shambles after their electoral drubbing.

Spinning like a whirling dervish, they theorize that six “red state” Democrat senators are “on the rise” and boldly proclaim that “bucking their own party leaders and the White House will determine whether Republicans will succeed in governing—or flop.”

The six senators mentioned are Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Heidi Heikamp (D-ND), Joe Donnelly (D-IN) Angus King (I-ME) and Jon Tester (D-MT).

McCaskill may vote in favor of the XL Keystone Pipeline. Manchin was against Reid’s filibuster reform.  Heitkamp voted to block gun background check legislation.  Donnelly is in favor of reversing the 30-hour work week definition under Obamacare.  Testor helped kill the DREAM Act filibuster in 2010.

And then there’s Angus King.  King will continue to caucus with the Democrats, but has tried to play deal maker on the issues of gun control and student loans.

Senator King feigned ignorance of the bombshell admission by Dr. Jonathan Gruber, Professor of Economics at MIT and technical consultant architect of the regime’s implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act AKA Obamacare who said. “The bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO (Congressional Business Office) did not score the mandate as taxes.  If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies.  Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.  And basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”  In the video, Gruber also noted “the stupidity of the American voter.”

This morning, Sen. King was being interviewed on Fox & Friends in what turned out to be an explosive exchange.  The video is embedded below.  Given his level of hubris and make-believe ignorance of Gruber’s remarks, you can pretty much figure out this guy is a worm who cannot be trusted.

Speaking of trust, it was The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer who said, “If you like your insurance plan, you can keep your insurance plan.  If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor,” some 36 times—that pabulum was later dubbed The Lie of The Year

Al Franken, Lizard People And The 2014 Midterms

On Monday, August 4, 2014 the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will announce its endorsement of GOP businessman Mike McFadden in the Minnesota Senate race.

The race is emerging as potentially competitive, despite receiving less attention than other battleground contests. This week, University of Virginia political analyst Larry Sabato moved the Franken race into the "Leans Democratic" category, calling it a potential sleeper contest.  Unlike other targeted Democratic senators in 2014, Franken has maintained a solidly liberal voting record, rarely breaking with President Obama on high-profile issues.

Sabato notes that six years ago, Franken won by the barest of margins (312 votes) against incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman (R) only after a lengthy recount process.  The process was derailed when it was discovered that Lucas Davenport had sullied the voting process by casting a write-in vote for Lizard People.

In an interview with MPR News Davenport said, "I don't know if you've heard the conspiracy theory about the Lizard Men.  A friend of mine, we didn't like the candidates, so we were at first going to write in “revolution”, because we thought that was good and to the point. And then, we thought the Lizard People would be even funnier, and there was kind of a running inside gag between some friends and I."

“Lizard People” refers to the conspiracy theory that there's a race of shape shifting lizards masquerading as humans who rule the world, but Davenport doesn't consider himself a believer.

McFadden still faces an Aug. 12 primary opponent in GOP state Rep. Jim Abeler.  McFadden talks about “unshackling the energy industry” by voting for the Keystone Pipeline and permitting the fast-tracking of 24 LNG plants.  He also favors limiting the stifling effects of government regulation.

He advocates “abolishing the Affordable Care Act and replacing it with a market-based system that provides coverage for those with pre-existing conditions. On immigration, he says he would first secure the borders and then implement a multistep path to citizenship. He says he will oppose any effort to change Social Security and Medicare benefits for those at or near retirement.”

Dear Minnesotans, in 1998 you elected a pro wrestler your governor.  In 2008 you elected Stuart Smalley your senator.  Howze about ya take 2014 seriously?

If Nancy Doesn't Want To Take Her Medication Orally, I'm Sure We Can Arrange That She Can Have It Some Other Way

Four years ago the Affordable Care Act was signed into law.  During a press conference on Thursday which a measly 15 journalists attended, Nancy Pelosi vocefirously stood at the rostrum correcting a reporter who asked, “In the current environment in a swing district, is Obamacare a winner or a loser politically?”

Pelosi replied, “I believe that it’s a winner,” and then went into a dissertation on why it should be called by its proper name.

“It’s called the Affordable Care Act.  It’s called the Affordable Care Act. I know you didn’t intend any compliment or derogatory—it’s called the Affordable Care Act, and the Affordable Care Act, when people know what it is and see what it means to them, and that’s the case that we have to make,” she rambled.

“And I tell him the same thing I told you,” Pelosi said laughing. “Affordable. Affordable. There’s a reason—affordable. Affordable. Affordable. Affordable. Affordable. The reason they changed the name of it is because they wanted to get away, the opponents, from the word affordable. And that’s why I’m patient with some of these comments, whatever it is; it’s infinitely more affordable than the path that we’re on without it.”

You keep using that word Nancy.   I don’t think it means what you think it means.

The reporter was quick to point out that The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer himself had embraced the term in 2012.

The only reason I can surmise that she sounded like a broken record is that she either shit her pantsuit or it was time for her meds.

Fractured Fairy Tales: Democrats Have A Plan To Neutralize Obamacare

Writing for The New York Times, Ashley Parker hypothesizes, “As Democrats approach the 2014 midterm elections, they are grappling with an awkward reality: Their president’s health care law—passed with no Republican votes—remains a political liability in many states, threatening their ability to hold on to seats in the Senate and the House.”

“The White House seems to understand the political necessity of allowing congressional Democrats to criticize the error-riddled rollout of the president’s health care law.”

“Many Democrats are reluctant to let Mr. Obama campaign for them, in part because of his low approval ratings.”

“If Democrats are being forced to spend resources in February attacking Obamacare, then this is a very grim foreshadowing of what November will bring,” said Andrea Bozek, the communications director for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

One über liberal website proclaimed, “Now if only Democrats had approved an actually good health care reform proposal in the first place, they wouldn’t need to fall back on this pathetic defense.”

House Majority PAC designed ads in an effort to inoculate Democratic incumbents who parroted The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer’s infamous pledge, “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. Period.  If you like your healthcare plan you can keep your healthcare plan. Period.”  The political action committee describes the ads as a means to “combat smear campaigns orchestrated by conservatives”.

"The problem Democrats have is larger than just the unpopularity of Obamacare, it's that voters no longer trust Democratic politicians like (Louisiana Sen.) Mary Landrieu and (Alaska Sen.) Mark Begich who have repeatedly been dishonest about the law," said Brad Dayspring, strategist at the National Republican Senatorial Campaign.  "These were all lies repeatedly told by (them) and voters can't trust them to 'fix' the law."

These schlubs are inextricably tethered to Obamacare and they would do well to remember the words of George Washington who said, “It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one.”

I smell fear and I like it.  I like it a lot.
