Fake News Alert: Chuck Todd’s Russian Hacking Rant

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of the Russian Federation
Kremlin, Moscow, Russia

Mr. Chuck Todd, Political Director NBC News
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY 10112

Dear Comrade,

As purveyor of your Kapitalist ideology, Ayn Rand once noted, “The uncontested absurdities of today are the accepted slogans of tomorrow. They come to be accepted by degrees, by precedent, by implication, by erosion, by default, by dint of constant pressure on one side and constant retreat on the other—until the day when they are suddenly declared to be the country's official ideology.”

We at the Kremlin were intrigued by your interview with Reince Priebus this morning.

The Washington Free Beacon uploaded a video on YouTube™ documenting your President World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer publicly pleading lying 36 times promising if Americans liked their doctor they could keep their doctor.  If they liked their healthcare plan they could keep their healthcare plan.

Two years ago your panty-waist leader, in an interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly during your Super Bowl, tried to put behind him the scandals that hung over his second term suggesting his administration did not mislead the public on the Benghazi attack and astonishingly went so far as to say the IRS targeting scandal had “not even a smidgen of corruption.”

Your former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, blamed an “awful internet video” for the deaths of four Americans in the terror attack in Benghazi just three days after the assault on the compound that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.

Comrade, only two of your intelligence entities—the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)—have weighed in on this issue, not 17 intelligence agencies [as Bolshevik Hillary had claimed]. And what they said was ambiguous about our government’s involvement in the election where your goddess failed to ascend to the presidency.

We are having great difficulty understanding why you doubt the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation when we vehemently deny hacking accusations or “rigging” the election in favor of President-elect Donald J. Trump.  Perhaps we have underestimated your Ministry of Propaganda.
As our esteemed President, Vladimir Putin once noted, “Those who fight corruption should be clean themselves.”  Perhaps you should consider sending your résumé to RT (Russian Television).  Kulaks would rejoice and Comrade Schultz would be glad for the company.  He often complains of the bitter cold in our gulags.

Best regards,

Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov

Jeb Bush To Be Secretary Of Low Energy In Trump Administration

Donald J. Trump’s transition team, headed by Vice President-elect Mike Pence is moving quickly to assemble leaders of the new administration.

The New York Times is reporting that in addition to the announcement on Sunday that Reince Priebus had been appointed White House Chief of Staff and Stephen Bannon as Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor, John Bolton and Rudy Giuliani were under consideration as Secretary of State and Sarah Palin Interior Secretary.

What the Gray Lady missed apparently was the news that Jeb Bush would fill the office of Secretary of Low Energy.

NOTE FROM OUR ATTORNEY:  There is no such cabinet post.

Ryanism?

When Speaker Paul Ryan told CNN’s Jake Tapper he doesn’t support Donald Trump and might not ever do so, the world of politics was set on its ear.  “I hope to support our nominee.  I’m just not ready to do that at this point.  I’m not there right now.” said Ryan.
When Ryan was elected Speaker of the House in October of 2015, he replaced John Boehner whose leadership caused the institutional standing of the Republican Congress and it’s morale to crumble to a record low.  He owed his speakership to the likes of Nancy Pelosi.   Put simply, he was compromised.
The Freedom Caucus was prepared to “boot him out of office”, but Boehner “decided” to resign in order to “spare the Party” the embarrassment of removing him.  “The idea that this approach was one designed to appeal to some higher purpose is laughable,” wrote Ben Domenech at The Federalist.  “One does not fall on a sword when your head is already on the guillotine.”
Nutshell:  The House GOP bungled things for years leaving voters feeling betrayed, Paul Ryan was begged to fix things and when the Party realized voters were now wielding their pitchforks and tar and feathers, the blame landed  squarely in Ryan’s lap.
The long knives are out for Ryan, due in part, because of his statements made last month when he pointed to his belief that “populism must be tethered to good principles.”
Though he did not mention Trump by name and has been magnanimous in his policy criticisms of Trump in the past, he made it clear that no matter who the eventual nominee would be the Party would be “comfortable” and unify around the platform that he is advocating in Congress.  Of course, that statement was made well before the Indiana primary that saw Ted Cruz and John Kasich abandon their run for the Oval Office.
Ryan and Trump will meet face-to-face Thursday at Republican headquarters in DC to determine whether there’s any way to reconcile their differences in both style and substance. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus will play counselor to the conservative budget wonk the GOP clamored for to run for president and the presumptive nominee whose surprising voter appeal has rocked the Party.
Ryan’s gambit appeared to be a desire to provide cover for the many Republican lawmakers who do not want to be pinned down with a “yes” or “no” answer to the question of whether they will support Trump as their nominee.
For the conspiracy-minded:
What happens if no presidential candidate gets the required 270 Electoral College votes needed to win election?
If no candidate receives a majority of electoral votes, the House of Representatives elects the President from the presidential candidates who received the most electoral votes. Each state delegation has one vote. The Senate would elect the Vice President from the 2 Vice Presidential candidates with the most electoral votes. Each Senator would cast one vote for Vice President. If the House of Representatives fails to elect a President by Inauguration Day, the Vice-President Elect serves as acting President until the deadlock is resolved in the House.

The Corrosive Idiocy Of MSNBC’s Ed Schultz

I don’t watch any of the drivel on MSNBC simply because I don’t want my world darkened by liberal hacks with Permanent Anger Syndrome.

The network has a tiny audience, but MSNBC’s The Ed Show has the lowest ratings demo with a negligible 53,000 viewers. So why am I using my bandwidth to write about this schlub who reminds you of every angry drunk you’ve ever known?

Schultz, like the network that employs him, engages in deceptive editing.  Examples can be seen here, here, here and here.  I’m sure there are scads of other examples, but you get the idea.

While perusing the Intertoobs yesterday, I came across a story that mildly amused me only because I watched the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles along with 21.8 million others on Sunday. During the game, NBC’s cameras panned over to the luxury corporate box where NJ Governor Chris Christie could be seen high-fiving Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones.

Christie has come under fire for being a long-time fan of the Cowboys much to the chagrin of New Jersey residents who feel he should be rooting for the Eagles, Giants or Jets.

Mediaite noticed that Schultz used a photo from one year ago that depicted the RNC Chairman with Christie and Jones in Dallas not Philadelphia.  Schultz, trying to be clever, said that his show’s researchers “noticed what looks like RNC Chair Reince Priebus sitting behind Christie and Jones.  We reached out to the RNC and they told us they thought he was at a dinner in Washington, DC on Sunday night.”

So complete was their effort to deceive that they added a “bug” on the screen that read SUNDAY NIGHT PHILADELPHIA and then, for his mind-numbed viewers, circled Priebus’ face.

When the trickery of MSNBC and the host of The Ed Show was noticed by Sean Spicer, Communications Director for the Republican National Committee, he tweeted this:

That message was promptly retweeted by Priebus, but so far, the official Ed Show Twitter account has remained silent on the matter.

It’s only a matter of time before General Motors is forced to recall Schultz as a faulty airbag.
