You See It Don’t You?

As readers of this blog well know, we strive to show immense restraint when mocking the words and deeds of #TheResistance.
Little did we know we had license to mock them hard and often.  Imagine our shock when we learned from the fine folks at Babylon Bee, who have read the Bible cover to cover, that you don’t have to love Democrats.  The Christian news satire site insists, “according to some interpretations of the Sermon on the Mount,” we are allowed to call them “libtards” and scream “they’re going to hell in Facebook comment sections.”
Our betters on the left are obsessing over the planned meeting with North Korea and the pursuit of the Stormy Daniels story.
Last Friday Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough (AKA Muppet character Beaker) and Mika Brzezinski (AKA Muppet character Waldorf) would see through the charade of a President meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un for what they believe it truly was: an attempt to bury the Stormy Daniels scandal.
Joe began the segment saying, “Suddenly you have the foreign policy community shocked and caught off guard by the most significant announcement a commander-in-chief could make in 2018. So, tariffs and North Korea, all to distract from a President that didn’t go through the proper channels or use the proper inter-agency processes once…a distraction to change the headlines from Stormy Daniels.”
Brzezinski bulldozed in saying, “I think, yeah, that’s exactly what it is.”
Panelists who had joined the hosts postulated different narratives in search of the most damning angle from which to attack the President. After several minutes, Scarborough declared, “But Donald Trump, again, he just makes a decision on tariffs because of Hope Hicks, and he makes a decision on North Korea because of Stormy Daniels. And people can deny that all they want, but if you’re doing that, you’re in the tank for Donald Trump, because it’s painfully obvious that that is what’s going on.”
John Hinderaker of Powerline has a doozy of a solution to end the oral diarrhea of the Trump haters:
The Democrats are trying to make something out of Donald Trump’s alleged dalliance, twelve years ago, with porn performer Stormy Daniels. Trump’s long-ago romps with Daniels–assuming the stories are true–don’t qualify.
Worst case, Trump paid Stormy Daniels. But he didn’t kill her. That distinguishes him from the “Liberal Lion of the Senate”. If you want a scandal, and a cover-up that succeeded to a remarkable degree, look no further than Chappaquiddick. The Democratic Party conspired to cover up Ted Kennedy’s crime–manslaughter, in a particularly vile form–to preserve his political viability, at the cost of an innocent young woman’s life.
To this day, most people have no idea what the Chappaquiddick scandal was all about. That is how successful the Democrats’ cover-up has been. Most Americans assume that Kennedy was guilty of drunk driving and negligently causing the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. But the truth is much worse.
The movie Chappaquiddick may finally blow the lid off the Democrats’ cover-up.
Ted Kennedy, after driving off a bridge into Poucha Pond, escaped from his car but made no attempt to save Miss Kopechne. Kopechne didn’t drown, but eventually suffocated for lack of oxygen as she waited for Kennedy to rescue her. Kopechne could have been saved if Kennedy had simply called the local rescue squad. Kennedy was such a self-centered coward that he left Kopechne to die, concerned only for his own political future. Instead of calling for help, he walked back to the house where his party was still in progress. When he arrived, he tried to convince his cousin, Joe Gargan, to say that he had been driving the car. He never called the police to report the accident, but rather spent the night trying to concoct an alibi. The Democrats fixed the legal process so that Kennedy would pay no meaningful penalty for the death he callously caused. Kennedy pretended to have been injured in the accident in order to excuse his cowardice, and wore a neck brace to Kopechne’s funeral to further that lie.
There have been more disgusting human beings, but Kennedy was very near the bottom of the scale. Yet he remained a hero to Democrats until the day he died, forty years after he killed Mary Jo Kopechne. That is what I call a scandal: not only Ted Kennedy’s manslaughter–frankly, a charitable characterization–but the Democratic Party’s decades-long cover-up.
Donald Trump should take no grief for whatever he did years ago with the still-alive, still-flourishing, and reportedly financially better-off Stormy Daniels. If I were Trump, every time a reporter tried to ask me about Daniels, I would respond by talking about Chappaquiddick.

“We Told The Truth; At Least Our Version Of It”

There is an extraordinary contrast between what is known about the Kennedy clan and the continuing infatuation with it.  Teddy Kennedy was a vulgar debaucher.  He did not even attempt to shield his wife from the humiliation of his whorings.

Beginning this Sunday CNN, the most busted name in news, will air a miniseries “American Dynasties: The Kennedys.”  The miniseries intent, I believe, is to present a sanitized version of a powerful, ruthless, sexually arrogant family with links to Chicago gangsters.
Promotional material for the series includes pleasant footage of the Kennedy children enjoying “picnics on the south lawn where they had a tree house and swing set.”  Spare me.
The spell of “Camelot” that has been cast upon us must be broken once and for all.  To that end, the producers behind the upcoming film focusing on Ted Kennedy and the murder of Mary Jo Kopechne in the Chappaquiddick incident purchased ad space to play just before CNN’s upcoming miniseries with other ads playing during commercial breaks throughout the series in the coming weeks.
Teddy was one of three debauched sons of privilege (four, if you count Joe who was killed during World War II).  It was that very privilege which saved his neck from being convicted of depraved indifference in the drowning murder of Mary Jo Kopechne.  After pleading guilty to leaving the scene of the “accident” he received a two-month suspended sentence and his driver’s license was suspended for one year.
The parents of Mary Jo refused to have an autopsy performed on their daughter due to fears that it would reveal she was pregnant at the time of her death.  They received a settlement of $140,904 from Kennedy and his insurance company.
For 40 years, from 1969 until his death in 2003, Joseph A. Kopechne was haunted by the knowledge that his daughter did not drown in Kennedy’s Oldsmobile but asphyxiated gasping for air.  She could have been saved had Kennedy reported the incident right away rather than waiting 10 hours to do so.  Mary Jo’s mom passed away in 2007 and said that Kennedy never told her he was sorry.
Liberals expect us to kneel in worshipful awe to their “Lion of the Senate”.  Kennedy was a drunken, lecherous aberration.  There was nothing heroic about the man.

“Chappaquiddick”: In Theaters 2017

According to a published report at MassLive, filming for the drama “Chappaquiddick” began in September.  Apex Entertainment’s Mark Ciardi and Campbell McInnes are producing. John Curran is directing from a screenplay by Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan.

Based on a script by Andrew Loga, the film recounts the 1969 car accident, where Sen. Edward M. Kennedy drove off a Martha's Vineyard bridge and panicked leaving his passenger, 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne, to drown in a pond.  Kennedy left the scene of the accident, returned home and failed to report the accident for nine hours.

Producers of the film describe the plot this way:
“On the eve of the moon landing, Senator Kennedy becomes entangled in a tragic car accident that results in the death of former Robert Kennedy campaign worker Mary Jo Kopechne.  The senator struggles to follow his own moral compass and simultaneously protect his family's legacy, all while simply trying to keep his own political ambitions alive.”
Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Everest, The Great Gatsby) has been cast in the role of Kennedy. He seems perfect for the role.  Why is that you ask?  According to an interview with Thelma Adams of the Observer Clarke said, “One of the last political arguments I had with my progressive father before he passed away was about Ted Kennedy—whether we should judge him by his character or by what he accomplished as a legislator.”

“I was profoundly affected just in reading the script; I wouldn’t say moved, because it’s an emotional thing, and it was.  But there was a lot of turbulence inside me. It made me go and read about the incident.  And then, go back and watch Bobby’s assassination. As I read up and began to put it all in into context, I found it to be a very challenging film. That one critical night changed a lot of things, you know?  It changed his career, it really did, and it started a lot of things, being Chappaquiddick, and it being an examination of politicians and their private lives.”

The film, according to this actor, seeks to bring an understanding of what the man went through.
JASON CLARKE:  We shot in the massive water tank in Rosarito over six weeks for the night of the accident. It was a long night—and it was a really long night for Ted–and a long day. We start off in Washington; then Martha’s Vineyard for the boat race, and then the whole party, the race and then the accident and the whole night to the next morning.  So it was a long night for Ted.  He had a rough night.
OBSERVER:  Not to mention what kind of night it was for Kopechne, which is what makes the subject particularly chilling and challenging. I’m assuming, since you are the star, that it doesn’t present a portrait of Kennedy that paints him with devil’s horns. But this was a critical night—the critical night—in his life and his career?
Let’s see that again.

“Not to mention what kind of night it was for Kopechne…”

It is not possible to be any more black-hearted and explains why Hollyweird is so reviled.

In April of 2015 I opined about this debauched son of a bitch:

There were a handful of websites that provided a link to a piece at Vanity Fair written by Henry Rollins following the death of Kennedy.  The link is dead in every instance that I have tried.  It is important to note that Rollins consistently lobbed harsh criticism at conservative politicians and pundits, so it came as a bit of a shock when he penned the following in the online version of Vanity Fair:
“…I am very well known, a United States senator. My family is incredibly powerful. There are allegations that I had been drinking heavily hours up to the time I got into the vehicle with the passenger. I deny this for the rest of my life. That at no point did I make an attempt to call for rescue would probably be considered by many people to be outrageous and horrible, perhaps a crime that would carry a prison sentence. Can you imagine what the parents of the deceased would be going through when they found out that their 28-year-old daughter died alone in total darkness? I serve no time. Not inconvenienced by the burdensome obstacle of incarceration, I seek to maintain my elected position. I am successful and remain a senator for the next four decades. Would any deed I performed in that time, besides going to prison for the negligent homicide I committed all those years ago, be enough to wipe the slate clean? After my passing, would you fail to mention the incident and the death of this innocent person in reviewing the events of my long and lauded life? You wouldn’t forget about her, would you? That would be negligent.”
An article found in the Daily Mail describing the replica of his office included a photograph that rests on a desk that Kennedy once owned showing him with his grandchildren on a yacht.  I added a framed photograph of Mary Jo.

Liberals expect us to kneel in worshipful awe to their “Lion of the Senate”.  Kennedy was a drunken, lecherous aberration.  There was nothing heroic about the man. His grave should be pissed on and his “legacy” mocked often.

Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment.

She Who Shall Not Be Named

On Monday, March 30, 2014 the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate was dedicated in Boston.  The $79 million institute was erected next to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.

The Who’s Who of the Democrat Party were all in attendance.  There was soaring oratory from The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer asking, “What if we carried ourselves more like Ted Kennedy?”

Ponder that question for a moment.  For years ‘ol Teddy was photographed in the Kennedy family’s beloved Hyannis Port looking like a tub of shit.
