Good grief! The clown parade never seems to end.
Yesterday around
mid-morning the Intertoobs went wild over a tweet from April D. Ryan who is the
Washington Bureau Chief of American Urban Radio Networks and an alleged CNN
Political Analyst:
I am hearing from several sources there was a lot of drama at the White House last night and it wasn’t about the Alabama election. #fired. Stay tuned— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) December 13, 2017
Note the time of her tweet was 9:14 AM.
At 6:30 AM today Chris
Cuomo, co-host of CNN’s “New Day”, attempted the mental gymnastics required to
grasp the English language appearing in President Trump’s tweet from last
night, “Thank you Omarosa for your service!
I wish you continued success.”
interesting - is it true potus would not speak with omarosa? is that why he is saying goodbye via twitter? latest on @NewDay https://t.co/BnfOQo3mT5— Christopher C. Cuomo (@ChrisCuomo) December 14, 2017
Someone with the
Twitter handle @heyaries1981 replied
to Cuomo on his timeline noting, “Meh, I wouldn’t read too much into it.
He’s said goodbye to other ex-employees via twitter,” which piqued his
curiosity:
was it reported that they were fired and escorted out and that they werent allowed to speak with him? those circumstances are what make the tweet curious, no? https://t.co/Mef4G0eHN3— Christopher C. Cuomo (@ChrisCuomo) December 14, 2017
That
second tweet went out just a hair over 24 hours after the United States Secret Service definitively discredited Ryan’s tweets.
Reporting regarding Secret Service personnel physically removing Omarosa Manigault Newman from the @WhiteHouse complex is incorrect.— U.S. Secret Service (@SecretService) December 13, 2017
The Secret Service was not involved in the termination process of Ms Manigault Newman or the escort off of the complex. Our only involvement in this matter was to deactivate the individual's pass which grants access to the complex.— U.S. Secret Service (@SecretService) December 13, 2017
The woman around whom
this ridiculous firestorm centered was Director of Communications for the Office
of Public Liaison in the Trump Administration.
Seeking to set the record straight and call out April Ryan for ginning
up a controversy where none existed, Omarosa Manigault made an appearance on
ABC’s Good Morning America.
EXCLUSIVE: @omarosa to @michaelstrahan: "I resigned and it will be taking place January the 20th when I leave this very interesting administration." pic.twitter.com/CscDX94VkB— Good Morning America (@GMA) December 14, 2017
In what
appeared to me to be a “gotcha” moment meant to validate the stupidity of CNN’s
new US Ambassador to Fantasy Island and give Cuomo’s co-host a chance to smirk,
Ms. Ryan appeared on New Day. Oh yeah, it’s a pip.
"No one really knew what Omarosa did ... She was really lost. She didn't know her place, I guess, in the White House": @AprilDRyan shares her reporting on Omarosa's White House departure https://t.co/Vrl4mlFuiQ— New Day (@NewDay) December 14, 2017
The outrageous racism and demonization
of a black conservative woman didn’t end there as stand-up “comedian” D. L. Hughley
tweeted this (which I have screen-capped should the buffoon decide to delete it):
