Fried Rice

Three days ago “the paper of record”, The New York Times, published a scathing report on Susan Rice saying that “during her career, she has shown a surprising and unsettling sympathy for Africa’s despots.”  Many of these leaders have tried on the strongman’s cloak and found that it fit nicely.

Just nine days before the slaughters of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi, Rice was in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to eulogize a man she described as “a true friend to me”.  She praised the Prime Minister, Meles Zanawi, as “brilliant, a son of Ethiopia and a father to its rebirth.”

Zanawi’s security forces were known to indiscriminately kill, imprison and torture civilians suspected of aiding Ogaden rebels.  The Ogaden rebels were responsible for attacking a site operated by China’s Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau, killing nine Chinese workers and 65 Ethiopians.

Today, we learned that poor, defenseless Rice is dropping out of the running to be the next Secretary of State after months of scathing criticism over her Benghazi comments on all five Sunday talk shows on September 16, 2012.
“If nominated, I am now convinced that the confirmation process would be lengthy, disruptive and costly—to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities,” Rice wrote in a letter to President Obama, saying she’s saddened by the partisan politics surrounding her prospects.  “That trade-off is simply not worth it to our country…Therefore, I respectfully request that you no longer consider my candidacy at this time.”
If you’ll remember, on November 15th of this year, The Chicago Messiah puffed up after Rice came under fire saying, “If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody they should go after me.  For them to go after the UN ambassador who had nothing to do with Benghazi…to besmirch her reputation is outrageous.”

No, hoss.  That’s not outrageous.  Outrageous is when your regime has successfully managed to avoid explaining your stunning cowardice by never sending help to save the brave men you left to die at the hands of Libyan barbarians who belong to al-Qaeda.

The Messiah’s reaction to Rice’s announcement:
“While I deeply regret the unfair and misleading attacks on Susan Rice in recent weeks, her decision demonstrates the strength of her character, and an admirable commitment to rise above the politics of the moment to put our national interests first.  The American people can be proud to have a public servant of her caliber and character representing our country.”
Something stinks on ice in the West Wing over the Benghazi coverup.  Many conservatives describe the coverup as being worse than Watergate.  Former CIA Director, Gen. David Petraeus, asserted that his talking points were altered between his office and the Oval Office.  Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,  has thus far shied away from the Benghazi conflagration but is slated to head to Capitol Hill next week to testify before both House and Senate Foreign Relations Committees.  The corporate-controlled media bobble-head dolls and groupthink poodles of the press corps have largely managed to abet this regime by keeping the wagons circled.

I sincerely believe the truth will now emerge on Benghazi.  News like this virtually assures that this regime’s dereliction of duty, astonishing cowardice and penchant for lying will see the light of day.
