Every movie reveals something about the culture that
spawned it.
Angelo M. Codevilla who
is a Senior Fellow of the Claremont Institute and Professor Emeritus of
International Relations at Boston University believes
political violence is tacitly condoned and often openly encouraged by
Democratic officeholders.
Codevilla notes, “In
the 21st Century’s second decade, explicit statements by the party’s principal
figures—President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to name only a few—have led their epigones in power
as well as millions of followers to think and act as if conservatives were
simply on a lower level of humanity and should have their faces rubbed in their
own inferiority.”
“…We know that the
spiral of political violence has already taken its first fateful turns and that
the logic of our partisan ruling class is pushing for more,” he continued.
"Did anyone see
what our ratfucker-in-chief just did?" one character asks early in the
screenplay for The Hunt, a Universal Pictures thriller set to open
Sept. 27. Another responds: "At least The Hunt's coming up. Nothing better
than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables."
According to a
published report by the Hollywood
Reporter, Universal Studios employees in different departments were
questioning the wisdom of making such a movie in these times. One filmmaker with ties to Universal asked, “In
light of the horrific [recent shootings] is this not the most craven,
irresponsible, dangerous exploitation?”
A day after the
Hollywood Reporter reported the studio was reevaluating its strategy for
the film, and that ESPN had already pulled an ad, Universal took additional
action. "Out of sensitivity to the attention on the country’s recent
shooting tragedies, Universal Pictures and the filmmakers of The Hunt have
temporarily paused its marketing campaign and are reviewing materials as we move
forward," a spokesperson said.
The act of rubbing our
noses in our inferiority began when the owner of a Lexington, VA Red Hen restaurant
refused
to serve White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and her family and asked
her to leave.
In June of last year,
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) told a crowd in California, “If
you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a
gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them
and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
Last month,
conservative journalist Andy Ngo was beaten by the violent political activist
group Antifa in Portland, OR. Along with
cuts and bruises, Ngo suffered brain trauma for which he was hospitalized
overnight.
Democrats and their
dysfunctional media minions, in the wake of the Dayton and El Paso shootings
are now unabashedly calling President Trump a white supremacist. Calling him a Russian asset during their
fever dream of collusion ended when former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s
testimony proved to be an exercise in futility.
Where would these
degenerates get such an idea?
Answer: Frank Figliuzzi, former
Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI during the Obama
Administration and national security analyst for MSNBC floated a crank
suspicion that President Trump’s order to fly the nation’s flags at half-staff
through yesterday, August 8, to commemorate the victims of this past weekend’s
mass shootings was a coded salute to Adolf Hitler.
In some twisted secret fantasy to undo the outcome of the
2016 presidential election, the left appears to condone the spiraling political
violence and, so it would appear, is pushing for more.
Rep. Joaquin Castro
(D-TX) tweeted the names and employers of 44 San Antonio residents who donated
to President Trump’s reelection campaign.
In doing so, Castro targeted American citizens for exercising their
First Amendment rights. He has refused
to disavow his actions.
When I can’t wear a red
baseball cap with the logo of Folds of Honor emblazoned across the front
without being challenged while at the grocery store or the gas station, the
hate the left has for “deplorables” is a sure sign that something wicked this
way comes.
