President Issues Statement About His ISIS Strategy From Golf Course

I have been trying to contain my outrage and sadness over the bloodbath we witnessed in Paris last Friday.  I was beginning to settle down until I watched our president stand on the dais at the Antalya G20 Summit and field questions from the press.  Never in my life have I witnessed a more contemptible display of indifference and downright arrogance.

I went to bed last night very late.  I woke up about three hours later still very angry about that press conference.  I decided to fire up the computer and see what others were sensing and hit the jackpot.

If you don’t follow Jon Gabriel on Twitter you should.  Mr. Gabriel is a political writer who contributes to Ricochet, The Blaze, Freedom Works and the Heartland Institute.  I saw his tweet announcing his latest piece at Ricochet entitled “Obama and the Office of the Petulancy” and clicked on over.
“It’s difficult to overstate how poorly Barack Obama performed at Monday’s press conference from the G20 summit in Antalya, Turkey. As France deals with the aftermath of an ISIS attack leaving 132 dead (so far), hundreds wounded, and thousands of lives shattered, the ersatz leader of the free world responded with an embarrassing display of indifference, peevishness, and open contempt. He was less ‘President Obama’ and more ‘Petulant Obama.’"
“As reporters lobbed obvious questions about Obama’s dismissive description of ISIS as a JV team, his broken promise to degrade and destroy the group, and the massive intelligence failure that rocked Europe, he seemed annoyed at all the fuss.”
[SKIP]
“The bureaucratic boredom with which Obama delivered the lines was reminiscent of Michael Dukakis airily dismissing a debate hypothetical in which his wife was raped and murdered.”
“Yes, Paris is a setback but we’ve lowered our flags. Next question.”
Jim Avila:  “In the days and weeks before the Paris attacks, did you receive warning in your daily intelligence briefing that an attack was imminent? If not, does that not call into question the current assessment that there is no immediate, specific, credible threat to the United States today? And secondly, if I could ask you to address your critics who say that your reluctance to enter another Middle East war, and your preference of diplomacy over using the military makes the United States weaker and emboldens our enemies.”
Obama:  “Jim, every day we have threat streams coming through the intelligence transit. And as I said, every several weeks we sit down with all my national security, intelligence, and military teams to discuss various threat streams that may be generated.”
By this point, it was obvious that Professor Obama was very disappointed with his class:
“But what we do not do, what I do not do is to take actions either because it is going to work politically or it is going to somehow, in the abstract, make America look tough, or make me look tough. And maybe part of the reason is because every few months I go to Walter Reed, and I see a 25-year-old kid who’s paralyzed or has lost his limbs, and some of those are people I’ve ordered into battle. And so I can’t afford to play some of the political games that others may.”
“We’ll do what’s required to keep the American people safe. And I think it’s entirely appropriate in a democracy to have a serious debate about these issues. If folks want to pop off and have opinions about what they think they would do, present a specific plan. If they think that somehow their advisers are better than the Chairman of my Joint Chiefs of Staff and the folks who are actually on the ground, I want to meet them. And we can have that debate. But what I’m not interested in doing is posing or pursuing some notion of American leadership or America winning, or whatever other slogans they come up with that has no relationship to what is actually going to work to protect the American people, and to protect people in the region who are getting killed, and to protect our allies and people like France. I’m too busy for that.”
We should be thankful he wasn’t making the statement from a golf course.
It is cathartic for me to create Photoshops™.  That sentence about the golf course was a perfect visual and I jumped on it.

The Imperial Blunder Of The Century

My lifetime has spanned the presidencies of Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush the Elder, Clinton, Bush the Younger and The Stuttering Clusterfuck of a Miserable Failure.

I didn’t need a poll to ostensibly direct me to a manifest conclusion that The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer is the worst president since World War II.

It is said that hero worship is strongest where there is little regard for human freedom.  That axiom came to mind as I read the results of the latest Gallup Poll in which we discover only 79% of Americans are satisfied with their level of freedom.  That is down from 91% in 2006.  Once the highest ranked country in the world on such polls, we have dropped to 36th place.  Other studies show that the greatest nation on Earth is dropping to the same low levels on freedom of the press, Internet speech and a whole host of other freedoms.

We have a floundering president who is suffering defeats in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Russia and the Ukraine. This is a corrupt, dishonest president who is morphing into a president worse than Jimmy Carter through indecision, insecurity and ineptitude.

A plurality of Americans on the eve Independence Day no longer trust the current occupant of the Oval Office and believe he is utterly incapable of leading the country.

Michael Goodwin encapsulates what most Americans have thought since Inauguration Day 2009:
“Losing the consent of the governed is a profound event, and there is no easy path back to public grace. His taunting of Republicans and critics in campaign-style events reinforces doubts about his fitness. Absorbed with self-pity and fixated on finding blame, he gives the impression of someone who never considers the possibility he might be part of the problem.”

Chuck Todd: The Game Of Thronesniffers

Today, the results of a new poll from The Wall Street Journal and NBC News were released.  Ordinarily, this would be a non-event.

What made today’s polling so significant that it prompted a Drudge siren headline was the fact the NBC/Comcast thronesniffer, Chuck Todd, breathlessly declared the Obama presidency to be over.

The approval rating for The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer has dropped to 41 percent, a majority of Americans disapprove of his handling of foreign policy issues, he has lost support from the Hispanic community and Americans actually think his administration is less competent than the Bush White House post-Hurricane Katrina.

Here’s a partial transcript from Wednesday’s Morning Joe show:

TODD: It is. It's cratering. I mean, if you think about it, let's go back to September, Syria. Then you have the crisis in Ukraine and then you had the situation with the Bergdahl trade, then we can talk about the Iranian negotiations, we can talk about the Middle East flaring up, and now the situation with Iraq. Everything is a negative, and these are now creating a situation, lowest ever, lowest job rating, lowest approval rating among foreign policy.

[SNIP]

GUTHRIE: Let's show the poll number you call the dagger. "Can the President lead and get the job done?" 54% say no.

TODD: And this is what's amazing here. This is as if the public is saying, "Hey, buddy, your presidency is over. You may not believe it is, but your ability to lead and convince us that you have the right policies anymore, we're not listening." That's what that poll question says. That's the most dangerous poll question in this—in this survey for the President.

‘Ol Remus from The Woodpile Report has some sage words for Chuckie that may help him grasp the concept behind the contempt:
“It comes down to this: we know what we are to them, enemies to be punished.  Their words.  They say they don't want to quell anger.  They say they're itching for a fight.  They say they'll hit back twice as hard. These are their terms. They believe, actually believe, their insults and libel and threats should go unanswered.  If treating the people as enemies is proper then punishing the people is proper.  And so they do.  They believe these things because resistance is what they fear, so resistance is what they see.  But something far tougher than resistance is emerging.  It's everywhere and nowhere, it's self-assembling, it's committed to restoring a legitimate Constitutional republic and therefore every bit the enemy they imagine it to be. They're looking for noise and drama. They're fools. They merely need to look around.  It's already upon them.”

Another Piece Of The Puzzle

For years many have hypothesized that this president is outlandishly incompetent.

During a Healthy Kids & Safe Sports Concussion Summit The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer supplied another piece of the puzzle when he noted that, “When I was young and played football briefly, there were a couple of times where I’m sure that that ringing sensation in my head and the need to sit down for a while might have been a mild concussion.”
I guess he’s going to be madder than hell when he reads in the papers that he told those folks that he might had a mild concussion.

Don Diamond, writing at Forbes, seems to believe that “football had a totemic role in his young life.”

Totemic?  Where the hell have I been?  Am I the only one who thought that basketball and taking “roof hits” from the ceiling of the Choomwagon were his only sports interests?

In that same Diamond piece, TWMDCO is purported to have said, “It doesn’t make you weak to admit that you’ve had a concussion. It means you’re strong.”

So, twice in less than a week he has feebly attempted to convince anyone who will listen that he is not weak.

Mitt Romney, appearing on Fox News Channel’s The Kelly File said, "I think it's a particularly sad day in America when the president of the United States feels compelled to give an address saying that America, in effect, isn't weak.   If you have to tell people you’re strong, then you’re not.”
