The unofficial creed of
the United States Postal Service reads, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat
nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their
appointed rounds."
The guy who never
misses an opportunity to tell you he is the son of mailman; who garnered a
paltry 154 delegates at the 2016 Republican National Convention and won only one contest in his home state of
Ohio has told
Politico he has “quashed the idea of launching a presidential run, arguing
there is no path to the White House for him in 2020.”

This news must be
bewildering to “Cap’n Bill” Kristol who has been floundering behind the scenes
to recruit a GOP challenger to President Trump.
He’s been in talks with former Sen. Jeff Flake and Nebraska’s Ben Sasse.
So far, former
Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld is the lone Republican mounting a challenge
against Trump for the GOP nomination in 2020. Names floated as other potential
contenders include Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and, recently, Rep. Justin Amash,
the Michigan Republican who called on Congress to launch an impeachment inquiry
into the president.
