Today a jury found “America’s
Dad”, Bill Cosby, guilty of three counts of drugging and sexually assaulting a
woman who was a Temple University employee whom he’d mentored at this home 14
years ago.
The
three counts — penetration with lack of consent, penetration while unconscious,
and penetration after administering an intoxicant — are felonies, each
punishable by up to 10 years in state prison, though the sentences could be
served concurrently.
Cosby’s cavalier “Zippity zop mix a quaalude with the pudding
pop” attitude finally caught up with him.
He stands convicted and his career is deservedly in shambles. He faces 30 years in prison but will likely
only serve two to five years due to his advanced age.
Immediately following
news of the verdict, Bounce TV announced it was immediately
pulling “The Cosby Show” from its network entirely. The network was founded by African American
activists Andrew Young and Martin Luther King III.
