In response to Tuesday’s
North Korean nuclear test in which Pyongyang claimed to have detonated an H
bomb, Secretary of State John Kerry tweeted:
The United States and nations around the world unequivocally condemn North Korea’s latest nuclear test.

Kerry, like many leaders
across the globe, use Twitter as their soapbox—twiplomats practicing twiplomacy.
North Korea has
conducted four nuclear tests since 2006 while paying little heed to
international pressure including the State Department’s feckless, toothless,
cowardly hashtags on Twitter.
@JohnKerry I applaud the Obama admin. for this devastating tweet, 140 tough characters that will surely bring Pyongyang to heel.
