Right Jabs For August 26, 2012

Politics is not a playground, it’s a battlefield.  Here are a few links from conservative bloggers who are waging a culture war of words against misanthropy, priggishness, prejudice, luddism, illiberalism and irrationalism.

Who can tax the sunrise, who can tax the trees?

Underneath the poseur narcissism, the half-wit demagoguery, and the 13-figure innumeracy is bleak reality: a flatline economy, underwater property, declining social mobility, half the population getting a check each month from the government and with minimum-wage service jobs as the only alternative to long-term dependency.”

“If you seriously think this election is about gay marriage or affordable contraception, you’re about to do to America what Gavrilo Princip did to the Habsburg Empire.”

“This is weapons-grade hypocrisy…”

As you know, guns have a violent tendency to get up, leave their homes, and arbitrarily shoot people. This gun violence must stop. As such, we long ago banned gun ownership in New York City because of the violence perpetrated on innocent New Yorkers by these reprehensible, violent, unpredictable guns!

Democrats snivel and whine that voters are disenfranchised because they have to drive a couple of miles to get photo ID so they can legally vote. Not a peep from them about…

“Something is happening in this country—something both the Obama campaign and its media cronies know is happening but won't acknowledge. What's happening is on the ground and not yet quantifiable in polling that doesn’t yet have its sea legs. But it's out there and it's real and before the media and President Obama are forced to acknowledge it, they're spending every bit of their dignity and credibility and integrity to kill it.”

Pour a tall glass of mind bleach.

The left only has temper tantrums when they feel politically vulnerable.

An operative from Biden campaign headquarters confides that Biden seems to have dated at least twelve black women, seven American Indian women, eleven Asians, four native Hawaiians or others from the Pacific Islands, thirteen Hispanics, five women of mixed races and twenty-two whites. The Biden operative said that the Veep’s girlfriends represented every religious group in the world, “in exact proportion to their presence in the American electorate.”

…the “extremist” in this race is not Mitt Romney, it is President Obama.

If we ever do get around to doing the right thing, in space or on the ground, Neil Armstrong will not be around to see it. The famously reclusive astronaut passed away after being drawn out to make a final bid at reviving the space program. His final contribution may be that he joined the many voices warning of the decline of America. His final legacy may be determined by whether the American people choose to listen to some of his final words.

The obvious question here is do these folks actually believe their own incoherent, delusional ramblings?

Now, one of our heroes who helped to unlock so many mysteries of space travel and our neighboring moon is himself, privy to God’s innermost secrets.
