What's That Stench? It's Fantastic.

Adam Schiff (D-CA), ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said today on CNN that he’s worried Republicans are trying to kill his panel’s probe into the 2016 U.S. presidential election, amid efforts to smear special counsel Robert Mueller and discredit his own investigation into last year’s race.

The committee’s investigation has gone on for about a year, with nearly five dozen witnesses interviewed across eleven open and closed hearings lasting for hours. What Schiff said really has him “concerned” is if Congress’s probes end, Republicans could exert pressure to end Mueller’s investigation, which has cost $6.7 million in taxpayer funds in its first five months.
Schiff’s meltdown on Twitter reveals the collusion narrative has crumpled. He attempted to draw a false equivalence between reports that FBI agents were outraged before the presidential election at the kid-glove treatment Granny received for her e-mail scandal and the Trump-antagonistic attitudes recently exposed among members of the Bureau's top management and Mueller's team.
