The arrogance of the Left was on full display yesterday
following the San Bernardino shootings.
Most notable was the front page of The
New York Daily News barking, “God
isn’t fixing this…As latest batch of innocent Americans are left lying in pools
of blood, cowards who could truly end gun scourge continue to hide behind
meaningless platitudes.”
Terry Pettit, whose daughter was trapped inside the Inland
Regional Center, read a text message from her:
“Shooting at my work. People
shot.”
Weeping as he spoke to reporters and sirens pierced the air
he continued to read, “Pray for us. I am
locked in an office.”
While she and her colleagues tried to survive the carnage,
the workers who had been evacuated to a golf course across the street bowed
their heads, held each others’ hands and prayed.
The dog pile we witnessed yesterday was appalling, if not
downright disquieting. It’s as if those
progressive secularists who inhabit their liberal ivory towers have declared
that they tried once to speak to God and decided the sky was empty.
We must stop turning
against one another. “Help" is a
prayer that is always answered. It doesn't matter how you pray—with
your head bowed in silence, or crying out in grief
