Josh Feldman writing for Mediaite noted, “One of the clearest takeaways on social media throughout the South Carolina Democratic Debate is CBS didn’t deliver the best show.”

Oh honey, that ain’t so.  This debate was a donnybrook.  Bernie was genuinely flustered for the first time appearing noticeably agitated by the onslaught of criticism.

He was making hypnotic circles in the air while screaming at the audience and all the other candidates quickly joined in flapping their hands and furiously talking over each other.  It reminded me of the hilarious brawls seen on the Jerry Springer Show.  Not one of them looked even remotely presidential.

Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King, the hapless moderators for this schoolyard romper room, were steamrolled often and hard.

The old axiom, “Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true” was in play last night.  For three-plus years the only words that have crossed the lips of Democrats have been “Russia, Russia, Russia!”

Putin was relaxing in the Kremlin last night laughing his ass off realizing he doesn’t need to interfere in the 2020 Presidential Election. The boogeyman is the Democrat Party.

My debate verdict: Bernie finally took a few straight-on punches to the face, and the fact that he handled them so poorly suggests he's gonna have issues as nominee when that's all Trump will be doing. Biden had his best debate ever, when he needed it. But Sanders still the guy.

After Making False Claim NBC Issues Correction

On Friday morning President Trump was on a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin amid an uprising in Venezuela.  The call lasted “a little over an hour.”

It was their first conversation since the conclusion of the Special Counsel investigation into the Kremlin's plot to disrupt the American presidential election in 2016. 

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders noted the leaders discussed extending an existing nuclear agreement and the possibility of a new nuclear deal that could include China.

She also said they discussed the crisis in Venezuela and the Administration's need for a peaceful transition of power in the country and delivering food and medical aid to its impoverished citizens. There was also discussion about the need for Russia to put pressure on North Korea to denuclearize.

The Mueller probe came up during the call. Sanders declared the Trump Administration is taking aggressive steps to prevent future election meddling by Russia. 

“This Administration, unlike the previous one, takes election meddling seriously,' she charged, “and we're going to do everything that we can to prevent that from happening.”  She added, “[we are] looking at ways to actually prevent it from taking place, instead of what they did in 2016, just letting it happen, knowing about it and doing nothing, and then trying to blame it on the incoming administration.”

NBC claimed in a published report at 1:06 PM that Sanders told reporters during a press gaggle just before noon President Trump told the Russian president White House Counsel Don McGahn would be available to testify before Congress.

The network was forced to issue a correction at 1:51 PM admitting their article incorrectly included the topic about whether McGahn would testify.

Someone on Twitter humorously suggested President Trump was ordering Beluga whales with laser beams from the Russian Navy on that phone call with Putin after it was learned last week that Norwegian fishermen discovered a Russian “spy whale” wearing a harness bearing the words “Equipment of St. Petersburg”.

The adorable mammals are ideal for operations in the Arctic.

Epic Battle: The “America Last” Crowd Versus The “America First” President

Was President Trump’s press conference in Helsinki a regrettable misstep?  It sure felt like it at the time.  The upshot was an isolated president in a state of serious tension with his Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coats, and a rich target of hysterical criticism.

Chris Strohm and Jennifer Jacobs, in a published report at Bloomberg Politics wrote, “President Donald Trump gave the go-ahead to announce new Russian election-hacking indictments before his meeting with Vladimir Putin rather than after in the hopes it would strengthen his hand in the talks, according to accounts from people familiar with the decision.”

Despite his dismal showing in Helsinki, President Trump’s policies on Russia have been the right ones and far stronger than those of his predecessors (see video embedded below).

In July of 2017, for example, President Trump visited Krasinski Square in Warsaw, Poland before going to the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany.  Krasinski Square, in 1944, was the site where members of the Polish Underground battled Nazi forces for 63 days while the Soviet Army waited on the far side of the Vistula River.  Some 200,000 people died during the rebellion.

In his speech, Trump publicly endorsed NATO’s Article 5, which calls for the alliance to defend any member that comes under attack and he called for Russia to “cease its destabilizing activities in Ukraine and elsewhere.” He also expressed support for the Polish-led Three Seas initiative, which aims to reduce dependence on Russian energy supplies to Poland and other nations and serves as a counterweight to EU influence in Central Europe. (The identical sentiment he expressed at the 2018 NATO Summit in Brussels.)

In March of 2018, Poland signed the largest arms procurement deal in its history on Wednesday, agreeing with the United States to buy Raytheon’s Patriot Missile Defense System for $4.75 billion in a major step to modernize its forces against a bolder Russia.

In Obama’s first year in office, he decided to scuttle a long-range missile defense system in the Czech Republic and Poland. Russians cheered the decision and Putin called Obama’s move "correct and brave."

In May of this year, the President terminated the United States’ participation the Iran Nuclear Plan known by the long-winded name, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). 

Over the past year, military coordination between Moscow and Tehran has also intensified. Qassem Soleimani, the flamboyant head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, a branch of the Revolutionary Guards that is roughly equivalent to American Special Operations Forces, was the front man on military coordination between the two nations, especially in Syria, beginning in 2015. Contacts now go much higher. In November of 2017, the Chief of Staff of Russia’s armed forces, General Valery Gerasimov, flew to Tehran for talks with his Iranian counterpart, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, a former military intelligence expert in the Revolutionary Guards who now oversees both the Guards and the regular Iranian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

“There is good military cooperation between Iran and Russia, and, of course, there are many areas for expanding cooperation,” Bagheri declared. The two military chiefs are in increasing contacts with one another.

For decades now, the Russian bear has continually been sinking its mighty energy claws into Europe and Germany. Despite long promising to "get off Russian energy," Gazprom sales to Europe hit an all-time record last year and Europe is still the largest buyer of Russian oil.  Hence, the fiasco at this year’s NATO Summit where President Trump declared to Germany’s Angela Merkel, “We’re supposed to protect you from Russia, but Germany is making pipeline deals with Russia. You tell me if that’s appropriate. Explain that.”

You get my drift.  Our President has been tough on Russia and he’s being tough on the Pravda-like media complex threatening us right here at home.

Immediately following the conclusion of the joint press conference in Helsinki, Obama’s CIA Director, John Brennan manically tweeted this which exposes the demented malice of the Obama Administration:

Brennan, who supported the Soviet-controlled American Communist Party, meets the textbook definition of a useful idiot for the Russians. At the height of the Cold War, he cast his vote in 1976 for Gus Hall, the American Communist Party’s presidential candidate. He refused to take his Oath of Office on the Bible during his swearing-in ceremony.

Brennan deplored Ronald Reagan’s description of the Soviet Union as an evil empire and joined other leftists in demanding that he pursue détente with Marxist thugs who make Putin look like a piker. During his time as Obama’s CIA Director he sanitized the concept of jihad and constantly whitewashed Islamic terrorism.

Now that he’s left the armchair comfort of the CIA he has resumed the radicalism of his youth by calling for civil disobedience and the overthrow of a duly elected president.

“As for the left-wing media tools, they are equally disoriented by the successes Trump is racking up with alacrity–so disoriented that they are self-destructing before our eyes.  Any montage of the not-analysts on CNN and MSNBC throughout the last few days reveals a full group meltdown of monstrous proportions.  Their shark-jumping criticism of Trump over the Putin press conference has made their mania over the border look like a toddler tantrum.  This time they have exposed themselves for who they really are: terrified, ignorant, blinkered narcissists discovering they are completely irrelevant.  We should all be eternally grateful for the truthful analysts, like Stephen F. Cohen of the Nation, and for Trump, whose instincts are so much better than the lot of the baying hyenas on cable and network so-called news programs. 

Russian Roulette: Putin Defeated Obama, Not Hillary, In 2016

The horde of crybabies on the Left are demanding President Trump cancel his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki after Friday’s indictment of twelve Russian military officers for interfering in the 2016 Presidential Election.

“President Trump should cancel his meeting with Vladimir Putin until Russia takes demonstrable and transparent steps to prove that they won’t interfere in future elections,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.  “Glad-handing with Vladimir Putin on the heels of these indictments would be an insult to our democracy.”

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s lengthy indictment makes the Russian president’s denials that his government wasn’t connected to the interference preposterous.

In February of this year Mueller indicted 13 Russians and 3 Russian companies, accusing them of conspiring to interfere with “US political and electoral processes, including the Presidential Election of 2016.”

Mueller has mastered the art of indicting Russians over whom he has ZERO jurisdiction.

According to the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, “Perhaps not surprisingly given the tenor of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the United States and Russia do not have an extradition treaty. In addition, Russia is one of the countries that will not extradite its own citizens. So, assuming that the 12 defendants charged in Mueller’s recent indictment remain in Russia, there is no possibility that they will be extradited to the United States.”

In the unlikely event the accused were to appear in court, their legal counsel would demand to examine the Democrat National Committee’s servers.  They’re not going to show up, of course, so there will be no challenge to the allegations, no demand to see the evidence and no legal embarrassment for Mueller’s “13 angry Democrats” responsible for the Trump/Russia probe.

That’s a neat little trick isn’t it?

Around noon on the same day Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced the indictments, CNN’s Jake Tapper told former Obama Administration National Security Council official Samantha Vinograd, “I have to say, and it’s unfair I suppose to hold you responsible for the entire Obama Administration, but you read this indictment and you think, boy, they really kind of missed the ball on this.” 

“I mean, yes, they issued that report, but President Obama said he told Putin to cut it out or knock it off, it wasn’t particularly strong and then there was all this hesitation about warning the American people for fear of looking partisan.  In retrospect, doesn’t it seem to you that perhaps the Obama Administration was at least to a degree asleep at the switch?”

“Well, I’m not here to be an apologist for the Obama administration,” Vinograd replied. “I was gone when this happened.”

In June of this year, Michael Daniel, The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer’s Cybersecurity Czar testified under oath before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that a “stand down” order that was politically motivated had been issued almost simultaneously with the launch of the investigation into the possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. 

Following Daniel’s testimony, Michael Isikoff, who formerly worked for NBC News and Newsweek before joining Yahoo! News as Chief Investigative Correspondent, reported on the revelation writing (and as an acolyte of the messiah it must have pained him), “The view that the Obama Administration failed to adequately piece together intelligence about the Russian campaign and develop a forceful response has clearly gained traction with the Intelligence Committee. Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA),  the ranking Democrat on the panel, said in an opening statement that ‘we were caught flat-footed at the outset and our collective response was inadequate to meet Russia’s escalation.’”

“That conclusion was reinforced Wednesday by another witness, Victoria Nuland, who served as Assistant Secretary of State for Europe during the Obama Administration. She told the panel that she had been briefed as early as December 2015 about the hacking of the Democratic National Committee—long before senior DNC officials were aware of it—and that the intrusion had all the hallmarks of a Russian operation.”

Isikoff continues, “As intelligence came in during the late spring and early summer of that year about the Russian attack, Daniel instructed his staff on the National Security Council to begin developing options for aggressive countermeasures to deter the Kremlin’s efforts, including mounting U.S. ‘denial of service’ attacks on Russian news sites and other actions targeting Russian cyber actors.”

The report goes on to say, “One of Daniel’s staff members, Daniel Prieto, recounted a staff meeting shortly after the cyber coordinator was ordered by Susan Rice, President Obama’s National Security Adviser, to stop his efforts and ‘stand down’. This order was, in part, because Rice feared the options would leak and ‘box [Obama] in.”

Victoria Nuland, Obama’s Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. also revealed, in response to questions by Sen. Susan Collins, (R-ME), another previously unpublicized dimension to the Russian attack. That summer, Collins said, FBI officials advised the Committee that Russian diplomats were traveling around the country in areas they were not—under diplomatic protocols─permitted to visit, apparently to collect intelligence. Asked by Collins if she believed this was part of the Russian so-called active measures attack on the election, Nuland responded, “I do. It’s fair to say that all of us in the process assumed what was done in December and January would be a starting point for what the incoming Administration would then build on.”

And we all know unequivocally who they were cocksure would ascend to the presidency.

The Case Of The Meddlesome Meddler

Late Friday afternoon, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced that 12 Russian nationals were indicted for hacking the DNC, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign officials in order to get emails.

The indictment alleges the Russians also stole information on approximately half a million U.S. voters by hacking a state board of election.

Rosenstein, however, made the point very clear: the indictment included no allegation that the hacking altered any votes nor affected the election result.

“There is no allegation in this indictment that any American citizen committed a crime,” Rosenstein said Friday. “There is no allegation that the conspiracy changed the vote count or affected any election result. The special counsel investigation is ongoing and there will be no comments on a special counsel at this time.”

The announcement came just three days before the President’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, exposing Rosenstein to charges of playing politics with international diplomacy.

Rosenstein said he briefed Trump about the upcoming criminal charges earlier this week and insisted the timing of the indictments was “a function of the collection of the facts, the evidence, and the law and a determination that it was sufficient to present the indictment at this time.”

“I’ll let the president speak for himself,” Rosenstein responded when asked whether Trump supported the latest step in the 14-month-old Mueller probe. “Obviously, it was important for the President to know what information we've uncovered because he’s got to make very important decisions for the country. So, he needs to understand what evidence we have for election interference.”

Earlier in the day, during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Theresa May, President Trump was asked about his visit with Putin scheduled for Monday.  He stated what he would discuss with Putin saying, “We’ll be talking about a number of things. Ukraine, we’ll be talking about Syria.  We’ll be talking about other parts of the Middle East.  I will be talking about nuclear proliferation because we are massively, you know, you know what we’ve been doing, we’ve been modernizing, fixing and buying; it’s just a devastating technology. And they, likewise are doing a lot.  And it’s a very, very bad policy.  We have no choice.  But we are massively big and they are big.  And I’ll be talking about nuclear proliferation.  It would be a great thing if we could do it.”

Trump went on to say, “It’s not only Russia and the United States, it’s other countries also.  We’re the two leaders.  I think it would be tremendous if we could do something on nuclear proliferation.  Will we be talking about meddling.  I will absolutely bring that up.  I don’t think you’ll have any ‘Gee, I did it, I did it, you got me.'  There won’t be a Perry Mason here I don’t think, but you never know what will happen.  But I will absolutely, firmly ask the question and hopefully we’ll have a good relationship.”

The President was referring to the 1957 to 1966 television series, where character Perry Mason (played by Raymond Burr) represents a series of clients in difficult circumstances and then usually manages to wring confessions from the real guilty party through skillful interrogation and every single case was solved in one hour.

To get to the truth about election meddling they need to interrogate The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer, Crooked Hillary and Slimeball Comey.

Barack Obama sold out our Eastern European allies on missile defense. He slow-walked aid to Ukraine and did little more than shrug when Crimea was annexed. He said "never mind" on his own "red line" in Syria and turned a blind eye to Putin’s intervention there, in large part because of his obsessions with getting the Iran deal. The Russian meddling in our elections started on Obama’s watch─and not just our elections but those of many of our allies. When Mitt Romney famously said Russia was our No. 1 geopolitical foe, Obama mocked him for it as did countless liberal journalists who are now converts to anti-Russia hawkery.

Throughout his presidency, Obama consistently underestimated the challenge posed by Putin’s regime. His foreign policy was firmly grounded in the premise that Russia was not a national security threat to the United States.

During a 2012 presidential debate, Obama disparaged his opponent, Mitt Romney for exaggerating the Russian threat, “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War’s been over for 20 years,” Obama quipped. This breezy attitude prevailed even as Russia annexed Crimea, invaded eastern Ukraine, intervened in Syria, and hacked the Clinton campaign and the DNC.

Obama’s response during these critical moments was cautious at best, and deeply misguided at worst. Even the imposition of sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine was accompanied by so much appeasement and restraint elsewhere that it didn’t deter Russia from subsequent aggression, including the risky 2016 influence operation in the United States. Obama, confident that history was on America’s side, for the duration of his time in office underestimated the damaging impact Russia could achieve through asymmetric means.

We should never let these facts slip into our collective amnesia despite the Democrat media complex’s constant attempts to rehabilitate Obama’s foreign policy failures.

Russian President Vladimir Putin coasted to reelection on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

A Russian state exit poll gave Putin nearly 74 percent of the vote, well ahead of his closest competitor, according to Reuters. With Sunday’s result, the 65-year-old Putin will earn his fourth term as president. 

Putin observed the two-term limit in 2008, shifting into the prime minister's seat and allowing longtime puppet Dmitry Medvedev to serve as a placeholder for four years. Unhappy with Medvedev's performance, Putin reclaimed the presidency in 2012.

Hillary Terrified Of The Way Someone Sits

If you don’t watch “The Late Show” on CBS you missed a news nugget.

On Tuesday night Hillary appeared with Stephen Colbert and, wonder of wonders, she took her turn in the spotlight to criticize the manner in which Russian President Vladimir Putin sits. He has a habit of “manspreading”. 

Misogyny and sexism are just two of a myriad of reasons Granny Clinton blames for her stunning election loss.  Honestly, she’s on a quest to prove discrimination where none exists.  Hillary lost because of who she is─a habitual, incorrigible liar.

At least the hag just got “manspreading” from Putin.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel not only got the “manspreading” shtick but also had to endure Putin allowing his female Labrador “Connie” in the room.  He reportedly smirked as the dog approached Merkel knowing she has a fear of dogs ever since being attacked by one.

I’ll tell you what terrifies me:  Hillary’s “fatspreading”.

McCain’s War

The long-simmering war between John McCain and Rand Paul boiled over Wednesday on the Senate floor when McCain directly accused Paul of working for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

McCain was speaking in support of a bill advancing Montenegro’s bid to join NATO.  Foreign Ministers invited the tiny Balkan nation to start accession talks to become the 29th member of the alliance in December of 2015.

Montenegro's Slavic ally Russia has strongly opposed its membership.  Russia sees the move as a way to cut off Moscow’s strategic access to the Adriatic Sea.  Serbia is Russia’s only traditional ally in the region.

There is no compelling reason to bring Montenegro into NATO. It adds nothing to the alliance with a military of just 2,000 and will become one more ally dependent on the United States.

In 2013, only 38 percent of Montenegrins supported accession. Many of them are Serbs who remember NATO's role in the Balkan wars of the 1990s. Prime Minister Milo Đukanović, who has run Montenegro since 1991, was a staunch ally of former President Slobodon Milošević of Serbia who was handed over to the War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague for genocide and crimes against humanity including the infamous massacre of civilians at Srebrenica in 1995.

Furthermore, Duško Marković, became Montenegro’s prime minister in November 2016 amid complaints of election irregularities and the support of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).

The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland drew up the Global Terrorist Data which recorded a large number of terror attacks in the Balkans between 1970 and 2015.  Montenegro includes 38 cases including the unresolved case of the killing of Goran Žugić, a security adviser to President Milo Đukanović, in the capital of Podgorica in 2000.

A published report appearing in The Washington Times in November of 2015 reveals Croatian intelligence identified a possible Islamic State leader who set up operations in Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina and began to organize scores of Islamist fighters who left the Balkans to join the Islamic State or al Qaeda’s Nusra Front in war torn Syria and Iraq and have since returned home.

“We have identified a possible Islamic State leader for the region and are monitoring the jihadist fighters returning to the Balkans, and there is much to be concerned about,” said the official, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity because he was discussing sensitive intelligence.

The concerns have been exacerbated by the refugee crisis sweeping Europe, which has security officials in the Balkans worried that an Islamic State sleeper cell could slip into the region disguised as Syrian refugees seeking asylum.

With a large Muslim population and a weak economy that leaves young, poor men vulnerable to radicalization, the Balkans region is experiencing growing fears that terrorism may be breeding among its civilian population.

“The threat is real, and the region is a potential tinderbox for radicalization,” the Balkan diplomatic official said.

I have been willing in the past to defend Sen. McCain against challenges to his patriotism and heroism, but his attack on Rand Paul was egregious.

When Sen. Elizabeth Warren attacked Jeff Sessions during his confirmation hearings Majority Leader Mitch McConnell muzzled her when she impugned the motives and conduct of the nominee for Attorney General.  Where the hell was the “Post Turtle” when McCain viscerally accused Rand Paul of working for Putin?

A McCain spokesperson clarified the senator’s words, “Senator McCain believes that the person who benefits the most from Congress’s failure to ratify Montenegro’s ascension to NATO is Vladimir Putin, whose government has sought to destroy the NATO alliance, erode confidence in America’s commitments to its allies, overthrow the duly-elected government of Montenegro, and undermine democratic institutions throughout Europe.”

His office further stated: “Senator McCain, and certainly the people of Montenegro, would appreciate an explanation from Senator Paul as to why he sought to prevent this small, brave country from joining in the defense of the free world.”

In responding to McCain’s McCarthyite broadside Paul said, “Currently, the United States has troops in dozens of countries and is actively fighting in Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Yemen. In addition, the United States is pledged to defend 28 countries in NATO. It is unwise to expand the monetary and military obligations of the United States given the burden of our $20 trillion debt.”

Senate Rule XIX (2) stipulates “No Senator in debate shall, directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator.”

McCain should be punished.

Chuck Schumer: “I DID NOT Have Relations With That Man, Vladimir Putin”

Chuck Schumer is arrogant, overbearing and self-assured.  Yesterday the senator from the Great State of New York pronounced to the entire world Attorney General Jeff Sessions should resign his post in the Trump Administration as head of the Department of Justice.

"There cannot be even the scintilla of doubt about the impartiality and fairness of the attorney general, the top law enforcement official of the land," Schumer said. "Because the Department of Justice should be above reproach, for the good of the country Attorney General Sessions should resign."

With those words, Schumer didn't just dig himself a hole, he stole a backhoe, dug a really deep hole, drove the backhoe into the hole, wired the backhoe with explosives and blew it up.

Relying on published reports from The Washington Post and The New York Times was an intellectually bankrupt approach given the fact the pages of The New York Times was the cheering section for one of the 20th Century’s most murderous dictators.  Few readers today will remember Walter Duranty; the man history has catalogued as the sycophantic apologist for Josef Stalin’s genocide in the Ukraine.  He covered Stalin’s show trials of his enemies in the 1930s as if the trials were legitimate and dismissed out-of-hand his many thousands of executions and purges.  Duranty was typical of those who look for wickedness in the wrong place and cannot see it at the end of their noses.

Schumer’s beef concerns two meetings then-Senator Jeff Sessions had with Sergey Kislyak, Russia’s ambassador to the United States.

As I noted yesterday, more than 30 Democrat senators met with Russian diplomats and foreign officials from the Middle East.  Since then The Daily Caller discovered Visitor Logs showing Ambassador Kislyak visited the White House at least 22 times between 2009 and 2016 during the reign of Teleprompter Jesus.

Also emerging yesterday was a photograph of Kislyak attending President Trump’s address to the Joint Session of Congress on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

But, last year, Schumer dismissed Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s private meeting with the husband of Hillary Clinton, who was under investigation by the FBI.

Lynch had contended that she and Bill Clinton merely discussed grandchildren, golf and social matters.

"She's an honorable person, we know that," Schumer said. "She has said nothing was discussed related to the investigation. So you have two choices to say this didn't matter or she's lying. I think it didn't matter. I don't think she's lying."

What would the good senator say if Attorney General Sessions had met with Vladimir Putin?

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, refused to discuss spying allegations against the Russian ambassador to the US with CNN’s Senior International Correspondent Matthew Chance, advising the broadcaster to stop spreading lies and fake news.

A CNN crew attended Zakharova’s weekly briefing in Moscow on Thursday, but asked no questions at the session itself about a fresh report by CNN, which said “current and former US intelligence officials have described Kislyak as a top spy and recruiter of spies.”

Shortly after the noon hour yesterday, the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes (R-CA) cautioned reporters to “be careful what you ask for” during a discussion of FBI phone records implying reporters themselves or “other Americans” could become the target of congressional investigations should phone records implicate them.

 “…for example, [if] you were on the phone with the Russian ambassador and somehow your phone call got recorded, would you want them turning over that phone call and that transcript to the committee?” Nunes asked.

“But isn't there a difference between a call between a private person?” a reporter who is clearly an intellectual midget countered.

“That's the point here. General Flynn was a private American citizen,” Nunes said. “Look, I'm sure some of you are in contact with the Russian embassy, so be careful what you ask for here because if we start getting transcripts of any of you or any other Americans talking to the press, then we can – do you want us to conduct an investigation on you or other Americans because you were talking to the Russian embassy? I just think we need to be careful.”

Hillary’s Coziness With The Russians Has Been Interrupted By The Election

Those annoying document dumps, courtesy of Russia, just keep gumming up the works for Granny don’t they?

Desperate, and I do mean desperate, for a debate bailout Hillary addressed Russia’s alleged interference in the presidential election by calling her opponent a “puppet” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“It’s pretty clear the Russians have engaged in cyber attacks against the United States of America, that you encouraged espionage against our people, that you are willing to spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants to do and that you continue to get help from him because he has a very clear favorite in this race,” Clinton asserted.

“I don’t know Putin,” Trump said. “He said nice things about me. If we got along well, that would be good. He has no respect for her. He has no respect for our president, and I’ll tell you what—we’re in very serious trouble because we have a country with tremendous numbers of nuclear warheads.  From everything I see has no respect for this person.”

"Well, that’s because he'd rather have a puppet for president of the United States and it's pretty clear," Clinton fired back.

"No puppet. You’re the puppet," Trump immediately said.

She squirmed, and noticeably so, at the charge.

WikiLeaks laid bare that the former Secretary of State didn't see Russia as a problem.  On May 29, 2013 Granny recounted a meeting with Putin while SOS.

“We talked about a lot of issues that were not the hot-button issues between us, you know, his view on missile defense, which we think is misplaced because, you know, we don’t believe that there will be a threat from Russia.”

Six days later at an annual conference for Goldman Sachs CEOs Clinton chirped, “I would love it if we could continue to build a more positive relationship with Russia.”

Granny and Bubba Clinton, as well as campaign chairman John Podesta, enjoyed a close relationship with Russian interests throughout The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer’s regime.. Podesta’s emails reveal that he sat on the board of directors and owned 75,000 shares of the Russian-backed Joule Unlimited. He has transferred those shares to an anonymous holding company.

Bubba received a $500K speaking fee from Renaissance Capital, a Russian investment firm, on June 29, 2010, just as the Russians announced their intention of buying Uranium One and with it one-fifth of the U.S. uranium supply.

At the heart of the tale are several men, leaders of the Canadian mining industry, who have been major donors to the charitable endeavors of former President Bill Clinton and his family. Members of that group built, financed and eventually sold off to the Russians a company that would become known as Uranium One. 

Beyond mines in Kazakhstan that are among the most lucrative in the world, the sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States. Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton. 

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well. 

And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock. 

At the time, both Rosatom [Russian atomic energy agency] and the United States government made promises intended to ease concerns about ceding control of the company’s assets to the Russians. Those promises have been repeatedly broken, records show.
