Mayor Bill de Blasio
wants New Yorkers to rat out fellow Americans who are not following social
distancing orders during the coronavirus pandemic by taking a photo
of the violators on their cell phones and texting it to the city.
“It's simple: just snap
a photo and text it to 311-692,” the mayor tweeted Saturday.
How do you report places that aren’t enforcing social distancing? It’s simple: just snap a photo and text it to 311-692. #AskMyMayor pic.twitter.com/WQdCcVf1Rl— Mayor Bill de Blasio (@NYCMayor) April 18, 2020
It is wonderful to see the regional chancellor's help enforce the rules of the motherland. Without your help @NYCMayor our SS officers would have no leads. Don't forget to show where you are hiding the non-essentials under your floorboards when our officers arrive.— Adoof Hitler (@DefNotHilter) April 19, 2020
Comrade citizen! Report all suspected anti-distancing activities to friendly New York Ministry of Social Cleanliness! pic.twitter.com/1RiSehqakS— David Burge (@iowahawkblog) April 18, 2020
