“You
can’t be beaten by something you laugh at.”
Britain's Got Talent is all about finding a
one-of-a-kind act and "The Lost Voice Guy" is the epitome of that pursuit.
As soon as he walked on
stage and the audience saw his T–shirt with a leaping wheelchair logo and the
slogan “I'm only in it for the parking”, comedian Lee Ridley had the judges and
the audience cracking up.
The 37-year-old was
diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was six months old. Due to complications
resulting from his disability, Ridley has been unable to speak for over 30
years.
He uses an iPad
equipped with the text-to-speech app Proloquo2Go to synthesize his voice to
deliver his unique stand-up comedy routine.
