On Monday morning, The
World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer and the First Wookiee arrived at the
National Portrait Gallery in Washington for the unveiling of their official
portraits. The president’s was done by renowned Brooklyn-based artist Kehinde
Wiley, while the Baltimore-based Amy Sherald profiled the former First Lady.
If you really, really
want to see the real portrait go here,
but speaking honestly, this one is waaaaaay better.
UPDATE: In the interest of presenting
a full accounting of the big doings at the National Portrait Gallery this
morning, we are pleased to include a tweet from someone I follow on the Twitter
machine─Cuffy Meh─who weighs in on the portrait of Ol’ Jug Ears.
