For everyone who was
certain that Alabama’s dynasty was faltering after a disappointing loss to Ole
Miss at home, you were wrong. Wrong I
tell ya.
The 91,000 Dawgs’
fans getting drenched in a driving rain in Athens were there to see Bama take it
on the chin against a highly vaunted Georgia team. The vast majority of them began streaming out
of Sanford Stadium within minutes of the start of the 3rd quarter.
So…for
all you bookies in Vegas and beyond who had Bama as underdogs, who’s the dog
now?
Rammer
jammer, yellow hammer. We just beat the
hell out of you!
From CBS
Sports, which aired the game, comes this succinct description of the
game:
“Alabama vs. Georgia was billed as one team trying to prove its national championship credentials vs. one trying to prove theirs were as strong as ever. Turns out you can consider Alabama's alive and well…and continue to dismiss Georgia's on sight.”
