Kevin Sumlin, Head Coach of the
Texas A&M Aggies, is looking to avenge their 59-0 annihilation at the hands
of Alabama last year. To that end the
Aggies hired former LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis. Hoo Lordy
that worries me.
Kyle Field is
where the matchup between the Aggies and the Tide will go down. Kickoff is at 3:30 PM ET and airs on CBS.
I ain’t happy that Bama slipped in
the AP Top 25 Poll from No. 8 to No.
10 this week despite their win over the Hogs.
A&M is ranked No. 9. Earlier
in the week Bama opened as a 3-point favorite.
The Tide defense ranks 5th
nationally in overall yards per play and yards per rush allowed. They rank 3rd nationally in overall
efficiency and 2nd in defensive efficiency.
The Aggies need to play their best to have a prayer of beating
Bama.
ATM had a bye week last week and
should be well-rested for today’s game.
They utilize the hurry-up offense which has given Bama some fits this
season. They have home field advantage
today, but honestly that advantage is suspect due to the fact that they are 5-7
at home since joining the SEC back in 2012.
In fact, their win against Miss State two Saturdays ago was their first
one against a ranked opponent since they whipped Baylor in 2011.
ATM won’t win the game running the
ball against the big boys of BAMA so they’re going to hang their hopes on the
arm of QB Kyle Allen.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!
UPDATE: The San Antonio Express-News reported that some punks at a Texas A&M frat house draped a banner over its living quarters which read “Kristen Saban’s Private Suite”. She is the married daughter of Head Coach Nick Saban.

The paper is speculating that Coach Saban is probably not
aware of the banner. Don’t bet on it
honey. I was somewhat worried about the
final outcome of the game. Not anymore.
The gutless wonders who decided this was a good idea don’t
have to take the field against the Tide.
Bama is going to tear the Aggies limb from limb over this. Mark my words.
And since no football post
would be complete without some pom-poms, here’s a photo of some mighty pretty
young things.
