It seems that officials in the
West Wing plan to emulate the Clinton administration’s cruise missile strikes
against Sudan and Afghanistan after the 1998 East Africa Embassy bombings as a
model for intervention against Assad’s chemical warfare on his people.
Flashback: President George
W. Bush, unlike Field Marshal von Unicorn, made it clear following the 9/11 attacks
on America what his strategy would be—“When I take action I’m not going to fire
a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the butt. It’s going to be decisive.”
Apparently, not even the camels
in Syria fear the neophyte currently occupying the Oval Office.
