My beloved
Duke Blue Devils lost a heartbreaker at Phillips Arena in Atlanta today to a
tough Florida State squad.
Following the
game, Coach K said he was proud of his guys noting that, “They played winning
basketball and when you lose playing winning basketball, [you] just shake hands
and thank God there is at least one more game ahead.”
The ‘Noles,
who were the third seed in the ACC Tournament, knocked second seed Duke out of
the running for the championship 62-59.
The loss against FSU puts their record at 27-6 for the year. This will be only the fourth time since 1997
that Duke will not make an appearance in the tournament championship.
No. 17 FSU
will go up against No. 4 North Carolina vying for their first ever ACC
Championship. Meanwhile, Duke must until
Sunday evening to learn their NCAA Tournament seeding. Hopefully, they’ll be a No. 2 seed.
