CNN Is Full Of Yapping Turds

DISCLAIMER:  This blog makes abundant use of Photoshop®.  It is incumbent upon me to stress the above graphic has NOT been photoshopped.  It was taken from a published report from Daily Mail UK titled “CNN's Michael Smerconish is slammed for comparing Senator Bernie Sanders to the CORONAVIRUS, asking if either can be 'stopped'”

CNN is in hot water with supporters of Bernie Sanders after Michael Smerconish compared the Democratic frontrunner to the coronavirus that has killed just under 3,000 people worldwide and devastated financial markets across the globe on his early morning show.

Twitter lit up to slam the host as well as the cable news outfit noting "the network decided to get rid of the chyron" when sharing the host’s segment on Twitter.

#FireSmerconish even started trending as various users demanded action be taken against the host.

Let me be crystal clear.  I do not support Comrade Bernie.  I torch him regularly on this blog.  I vehemently denounce his Marxist leanings, criticize his unkempt appearance, the way he says “Cuber” and “Chiner” and his so-called “revolution”.

I would never equate the man to a deadly virus no matter how much I detest him.

Democratic presidential candidates have been describing the federal infectious-disease bureaucracy as rudderless and ill-prepared for the coronavirus threat because of budget cuts and ham-handed leadership by President Donald Trump. That’s an egregiously distorted picture, so says The Associated Press.

Some public health experts say a bigger concern than White House budgets is the steady erosion of a CDC grant program for state and local public health emergency preparedness — the front lines in detecting and battling new disease. But that decline was set in motion by a congressional budget measure that predates Trump.

The public health system has a playbook to follow for pandemic preparation — regardless of who’s president or whether specific instructions are coming from the White House. Those plans were put into place in anticipation of another flu pandemic but are designed to work for any respiratory-borne disease.

“The CDC’s response has been excellent, as it has been in the past,” said John Auerbach, president of the nonpartisan Trust for America’s Health, which works with government at all levels to improve the nation’s response to high-risk health crises. Some Democrats have charged that Trump decimated the nation’s public health leadership, but Auerbach said CDC’s top scientific ranks have remained stable during the past three years.

Last night, the President was speaking at a campaign rally in Charleston, SC and brought up the coronavirus and Democrats’ attempts to politicize the issue calling it their new hoax.

His comment was referring to Democrats claiming his administration is not doing a good job containing the virus. He never said the coronavirus itself is a hoax, just Democrats’ claims that the Trump Administration is failing to protect the country.

A POLITICO headline after the rally read: “Trump rallies his base to treat coronavirus as a ‘hoax.’”

No, he did not!

Quit playing god-damned politics. It is beyond shameful the way the press and Democrats have been spreading false information that undermines the nation’s efforts to face a potential pandemic.

U.S., Taliban Sign Deal Meant To End America's Longest War

Seven days ago, the Taliban began a seven-day “reduction of violence" period, a prerequisite to the peace deal signed with its militant leaders in Doha, Qatar this morning.  The deal aims to bring an end to eighteen years of bloodshed in Afghanistan and allow U.S. troops to finally come home.

Since the start of negotiations with the Taliban, the U.S. has stepped up its air assaults on the Taliban as well as the Haqqani network and a local Islamic State affiliate, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. Last year the U.S. Air Force dropped more bombs on Afghanistan than in any year since 2013.

President George W. Bush ordered the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan in response to the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. Some U.S. troops currently serving there had not yet been born when the World Trade Center collapsed on that clear, sunny morning that forever changed the way Americans see the world.

The Taliban gave aid and comfort to Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaida network as they plotted, and then celebrated, the hijackings of four airliners that crashed into lower Manhattan, the Pentagon and a field in western Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 innocent people.

The war dragged on for years as America tried to establish a stable, functioning state in one of the least developed countries in the world.

The U.S. has spent more than $750 billion on the war in Afghanistan and it has cost tens of thousands of lives on all sides.

The comprehensive peace agreement is made of four parts:
Guarantees and enforcement mechanisms that will prevent the use of the soil of Afghanistan by any group or individual against the security of the United States and its allies.
Guarantees, enforcement mechanisms, and announcement of a timeline for the withdrawal of all foreign forces from Afghanistan.
After the announcement of guarantees for a complete withdrawal of foreign forces and timeline in the presence of international witnesses, and guarantees and the announcement in the presence of international witnesses that Afghan soil will not be used against the security of the United States and its allies, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which is not recognized by the United States as a state and is known as the Taliban will start intra-Afghan negotiations with Afghan sides on March 10, 2020, which corresponds to Rajab 15, 1441 on the Hijri Lunar calendar and Hoot 20, 1398 on the Hijri Solar calendar.
A permanent and comprehensive ceasefire will be an item on the agenda of the intra-Afghan dialogue and negotiations. The participants of intra-Afghan negotiations will discuss the date and modalities of a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, including joint implementation mechanisms, which will be announced along with the completion and agreement over the future political roadmap of Afghanistan.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo attended the ceremony in Qatar but did not sign the agreement. Instead, it was signed by U.S. Peace Envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

Addressing reporters after the signing ceremony, Pompeo said the U.S. is “realistic” about the peace deal it signed but is “seizing the best opportunity for peace in a generation.”

He said he was still angry about the 9/11 attacks and that the U.S. will not ”squander" what its soldiers “have won through blood, sweat and tears.” He said the U.S. will do whatever is necessary for its security if the Taliban do not comply with the agreement.

Barry Throws Sleepy Uncle Joe A Lifeline

The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer has sent a cease and desist letter to television stations in South Carolina demanding a commercial by Republican super PAC, Committee to Defend the President, be taken down.
“In the interest of truth in advertising, we are calling on TV stations to take this ad down and stop playing into the hands of bad actors who seek to sow division and confusion among the electorate,” said Obama spokeswoman Katie Hill. “It's clearly designed to suppress turnout among minority voters in South Carolina by taking President Obama's voice out of context and twisting his words to mislead viewers,” she added.
Perkins Coie, the Democratic National Committee’s private law firm, drafted the letter demanding stations pull the ad.
That’s the firm used by the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to secretly pay research firm Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, the disgraced former British intelligence operative, to compile a dossier of uncorroborated, utterly false raw intelligence alleging then-candidate Donald Trump and Moscow were colluding to hijack the 2016 presidential election.
Biden has to win South Carolina for his failing campaign to stay alive.

Ted Harvey, Chairman of the super PAC, issued the following statement. “The Committee has a long history of taking on Joe Biden, beyond Nevada and South Carolina. It took President Trump to lower black unemployment and create jobs for the African-American community, in addition to passing criminal justice reform. Joe Biden, on the other hand, is simply giving lip-service for votes. That’s the point President Obama made in his book [Dreams From My Father], and we have every right to use his own words — in his own voice — in the political forum.”

Jug Ears’ likeness has been used in campaign ads by Biden, billionaire Mike Bloomberg and other Democratic presidential candidates. He did not ask any to pull their ads.

If Joe had listened to his “good friend, Barack” when he warned, “You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t,” none of this would have been necessary.  Is that Barry’s endangered legacy calling?

I think it is, by golly.

And The Dems Think They’re Going To Lose In 2020 Because Of Russia? C’mon Man!

Josh Feldman writing for Mediaite noted, “One of the clearest takeaways on social media throughout the South Carolina Democratic Debate is CBS didn’t deliver the best show.”

Oh honey, that ain’t so.  This debate was a donnybrook.  Bernie was genuinely flustered for the first time appearing noticeably agitated by the onslaught of criticism.

He was making hypnotic circles in the air while screaming at the audience and all the other candidates quickly joined in flapping their hands and furiously talking over each other.  It reminded me of the hilarious brawls seen on the Jerry Springer Show.  Not one of them looked even remotely presidential.

Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King, the hapless moderators for this schoolyard romper room, were steamrolled often and hard.

The old axiom, “Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true” was in play last night.  For three-plus years the only words that have crossed the lips of Democrats have been “Russia, Russia, Russia!”
Putin was relaxing in the Kremlin last night laughing his ass off realizing he doesn’t need to interfere in the 2020 Presidential Election. The boogeyman is the Democrat Party.

Bernie And The Sanitizing Of The Horrors Committed In The Name Of Fidel Castro’s Revolution

Bernie’s perspective on Cuba is emblematic of his worldview and his affinity for America’s enemies, especially when they happen to be communist or radical Islamists.

The comrade who combs his hair with a balloon vociferously insists it is “unfair” to say everything was bad in Castro’s Cuba.  How can anyone be that intellectually bankrupt?  Its tantamount to claiming Stalin’s Russia produced great Bolshoi ballet dancers despite murdering 20 million of his own countrymen.  Or that Nazi Germany, despite its concentration camps, built great highways or Mussolini who bombed the Red Cross, dropped poison gas and committed war crimes in Africa and the Balkans but made the trains run on time.

A Trump vs. Bernie election will mark a truly revolutionary choice, the likes of which America has never seen. It will be the first genuinely free choice Americans have had in a presidential election.

It's going to be wild on a debate stage when Trump is praising JFK and Bernie has to defend praising Castro instead.

If you think back to historic presidential debates, what immediately comes to mind is Reagan vs. Carter or more recently Trump vs. Clinton; maybe even last week’s Democratic debate turned bloodbath in Vegas.

Oddly, Comrade Bernie’s rivals on the debate stage never really hit the presumptive front-runner where he is most vulnerable: his unholy warmth for the genocidal Soviet Union and his praise of communist dictatorships such as those in Nicaragua and Cuba.

Famous for giving long-winded speeches in green military fatigues, Fidel Castro turned Cuba into a communist state on the doorstep of America. He survived a CIA-backed invasion by Cuban exiles at the Bay of Pigs in 1961, as well as numerous assassination attempts, continuing U.S. trade embargoes and an economic crisis in the 1990s following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Castro played a central role in taking the world to the brink of nuclear war [Cuban missile crisis] in 1962 when he let the Soviet Union put ballistic missiles in Cuba leading to a 13-day standoff between President John F. Kennedy and Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev.

When Castro stepped down on February 20, 2008 due to failing health, CNN sent an email company-wide giving marching orders to its reporters on the “proper” way to report his resignation.

“Please say in our reporting that Castro stepped down in a letter he wrote to Granma (the Communist Party Daily), as opposed to in a letter attributed to Fidel Castro. We have no reason to doubt he wrote his resignation letter, he has penned numerous articles over the past year and a half.”

“Please note Fidel did bring social reforms to Cuba—namely free education and universal health care, and racial integration in addition to being criticized for oppressing human rights and freedom of speech.”

The sender of that email was Allison Flexner who was a producer for CNN’s Superdesk at the time.  A transcript from the on-air reporting of a hijacking of a Cuban plane on its way to the U.S. reveals Flexner was working in Cuba as far back as 2000.

So, yeah, when Bernie sings the praises of Castro and Cuba, he got that shit straight from CNN.

¡Que jodidas sorpresa!

If you are a seasoned citizen you remember the murderous Castro regime.  Because they don’t teach our children history anymore and if you are not a seasoned citizen, I urge you to visit the Free Society Project, also known as Cuba Archive/Archivo Cuba, to learn more about the horrors committed in the name of Fidel’s revolution.

Hey Joe, The Hindenburg Just Called

The presidential primary race in South Carolina looks very different heading into its final week than it did last fall. Joe Biden has a single-digit lead over Comrade Bernie. The race has narrowed substantially since the fall, when Biden led the field by a whopping 28 points. Support for the former vice president has fallen by double-digits as Sanders and businessman Tom Steyer have made gains.

Although Biden continues to lead among African-Americans, who make up a majority of the state's Democratic electorate, his support with black voters has declined 19 points since the fall.

Among South Carolina Democrats who were recontacted as part of the CBS/YouGov survey, three in ten voters who supported Biden last November have switched to another candidate—half of them (15%) now support Steyer.

Biden told supporters in Las Vegas Saturday night: “We're alive and we're coming back and we're going to win.”
He added, “I think we're in a position now to move on in a way that we haven't been until this moment. I think we're going to go, we're going to win in South Carolina, and then Super Tuesday and we are on our way.”
Biden resisted calling the state his own “firewall” when asked about it on CBS' Face the Nation.
UPDATE:  Welcome readers of Whatfinger News.

Comrade Bernie Seeing Red Over The Left’s Fear And Loathing Of Him

Let’s begin by stating the obvious:  Democrats have suddenly realized Bernie Sanders is going to win his party’s nomination for president.

The Democrat “establishment” has been asleep at the wheel ever since 2016.  It now comes face-to-face with the monster it created.  A profile of Sanders in 2015 by POLITICO argued he had benefited from “an unwritten agreement” that everyone would “steer clear” of scrutinizing his personal history.  Hillary refrained from doing so in 2016.

Trump-deranged journalists must be held accountable for having remained silent on this useless-as-tits-on-a-boar-hog socialist with twisted sexual fantasies and the culture of sexual harassment in his 2016 campaign.

The Trump campaign will not hesitate for a moment to eviscerate him, but that’s for another post on another day.

After the vicious free-for-all at the last Democratic Presidential Debate Andrew Perez, a political writer for International Business Times, tweeted a plea to take down Sanders from the founders of Third Way, a national think tank that “champions modern center-left ideas.”
Deciding which candidate should go head-to-head against President Trump is the paramount political calculation of a lifetime for the DNC.

USA Today noted in 2016 Clinton pummeled Sanders in the four Sunbelt states of Florida (64-33%), Arizona (58-40%), North Carolina (55-41%) and Texas (65-33%).

In a 1983 political debate Sanders first exclaimed, “I am a socialist; of course I’m a socialist.”  Republicans have tried without success in the past to label Democrat nominees as socialists, but this time the charge will stick to Sanders like shit on your shoe.

The potency of that attack is evidenced by Sanders’ central policy proposal: "Medicare for All." His plan would turn over total control to the federal government of one-fifth of the American economy. It doesn’t take much Trumpian logic to label that “socialized medicine.”

Now Bernie Sanders is getting a small taste of the criticism piled on Donald Trump for the entirety of his first term as president.  The New York Post  published a report saying, “The Democratic front-runner has been left seeing red over repeated slights against him by liberal MSNBC pundits and hosts, including Chris Matthews, who suggested the senator might cheer socialist executions in Central Park. And Chuck Todd—a moderator of Wednesday’s debate—even quoted a story that described Sanders supporters as a ‘digital brownshirt brigade.’ Todd was also tackled by the seething Sanders onstage after the debate: ‘I do not appreciate your comment about my supporters,’ adding the Holocaust reference was ‘offensive.’”

During the post-debate discussion, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes interrupted saying that Sanders is “pretty clearly” in favor of the type of socialism found in countries like Denmark, which Matthews had said was harmless, Matthews again suggested Sanders might have supported violent regimes, asking, “Is he? How do you know? Did he tell you that?”
Matthews and Todd are facing calls for them to resign.  Matthews compared Sanders’ victory in the Nevada caucus to the Nazi invasion of France.
Sanders' communications director, Mike Casca, responded to Matthews' comment.

"Never thought part of my job would be pleading with a national news network to stop likening the campaign of a Jewish presidential candidate whose family was wiped out by the Nazis to the Third Reich, but here we are."

These comments are not dissimilar to the hateful rhetoric repeated ad nauseum against our president for nearly four years.
How does it feel now that the shoe is on the other foot Comrade Bernie?

Bernie Knew

Sen. Bernie Sanders, who’s seeking his party’s presidential nomination, said he received an intelligence briefing about a month ago. But it didn’t become public until a Washington Post report Friday said President Trump and lawmakers on Capitol Hill had also been informed of the Russian involvement.

In 2016, Russia used social media to boost the Sanders campaign against Cankles Clinton.

If Putin really wants an ally in the White House, any Democrat will do, but Bernie Sanders would be the most obedient apparatchik of them all.

Biden’s Democratic campaign jumped on the developments to suggest he’s the least favorite candidate of the Russians and Trump. “We know who Vladimir Putin doesn’t want to be president,” spokesman Andrew Bates said, “and we know who Donald Trump doesn’t want to be the nominee.”  [Don’t worry Joe, you’re toast anyway.]

During Wednesday’s venomous Las Vegas debate, Sanders hinted that abusive behavior attributed to his “Bernie bros” may have been the work of foreign elements trying to sow division.

“All of us remember 2016, and what we remember is efforts by Russians and others to try to interfere in our elections and divide us up,” Sanders said. “I’m not saying that’s happening, but it would not shock me.”

Elizabeth Warren chided Sanders for waiting a month before making the meeting public.

As Sanders walked away from reporters during a press gaggle yesterday, he was asked why the report is coming out now if he was briefed a month ago. Comrade Bernie turned the question back to reporters with a cryptic response.

“Las Venom” Democratic Debate Cliffs Notes

That was me laughing my ass off for two solid hours while Mini Mike did countless faceplants.  God love Lizzie The Liar.  Bless Uncle Joe’s heart.  Poor little Amy.  Boot Edge Edge has such a punchable face I was throwing popcorn at the TV whenever he appeared on the screen.

Rather than writing a dissertation on the disastrous debate, I decided to just conjure up some Photoshops® that tell the story and throw in a few juicy tweets for good measure.

If you think the Democrats had a bad night, imagine being a Never-Trumper watching that clown show.

Snooty Billionaire Gets His Turn In The Barrel

There have been eight presidential debate clown shows staged by the Democrat Party thus far.  Tonight’s debate from the Paris Hotel and Casino in Vegas is one I am stoked to watch.

When Bloomberg steps onto the debate stage he will be ready to “dismiss rivals like Joe Biden who as Vice President made speeches that somebody wrote for him.”  He will denigrate Boot Edge Edge as a “mayor of a town. Let’s not get carried away.”

The Financial Times reports “The Bloomberg campaign has already forked over $147 million on the 14 states that hold primaries on March 3, often called Super Tuesday, when 1,357 delegates are up for grabs. The other candidates have spent a combined $46m on Super Tuesday states so far."

It will be the first time the man behind the ads has debated in over a decade and the first time he will be forced to answer for his past racial and sexist comments before a national audience.

Bloomberg’s handlers are trying to keep expectations low noting his rivals have had multiple debates to hone their skills and talking points. On the campaign trail he uses a teleprompter to deliver his short stump speeches (pun intended) and rarely takes questions from voters.  I see danger and I like it.

The DNC announced last month that it was doing away with the grassroots donor threshold that had been used to qualify for the previous eight debates.

Bloomberg had not qualified for earlier debates because he was not accepting campaign donations.

"To now change the rules in the middle of the game to accommodate Mike Bloomberg, who is trying to buy his way into the Democratic nomination, is wrong," said Jeff Weaver, one of Sanders' top advisers.  "That's the definition of a rigged system."

What I’ll be watching for is Mini Mike to explode.  POLITICO is predicting the former New York mayor’s “irritability with questions he deems unwarranted and controversies he feels he has already put to bed could undermine his debut on the debate stage.”

Top Bloomberg lieutenants and policy experts have been preparing him for what would be the most unscripted event yet of his three-month-old campaign. As the prep sessions have ramped up, his team is working to get him to project comfort and composure in the line of fire, while portraying him as the toughest Democrat to take on President Trump.

His rivals, who have been piling on in recent days, will try to rattle him by attacking his record causing his minions to worry an unsteady showing alongside practiced candidates could stall his momentum and swallow his gains.

Just a short walk down Las Vegas Boulevard is Caesars Palace.  I mention this only because the debate tonight reminds me of the classic Hollywood movies of gruesome gladiatorial combat in Rome’s Colosseum. If “Bloombergus Minimus” disgraces himself during this debate, voters will have the pleasure of giving the little guy a “thumbs down” gesture.

This presidential election cycle is the strangest event we may ever experience, and the shocks may not be over yet.

Are The Never-Trumpers Dropping Acid Like Timothy Leary Now?

Christopher Bedford of The Federalist website wrote on Monday, “The Never-Trumpers are a joke kept alive by a structure of self-support. They haven’t been correct on a single thing in years yet continue to earn their supper and an invitation to the party by wholeheartedly agreeing with their new patrons. They predicted ruin when the President was nominated and doom when he was elected, all while his poll numbers have continued to tick upward. They prophesied the shattering of the Republican Party all while it has maintained near-historic discipline in the face of a unified Democrat-media assault. They assumed the end of the economy because America reacted to unfair international trade practices and terrible global disasters because Donald Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord and killed Iran’s terrorist general.”

“All of their predictions are based on the conventional wisdom and assumptions of an insulted and excluded D.C. intelligentsia, and all are wrong. Indeed, Trump’s above decisions have resulted in the very things the Never-Trump Republicans once called for, including closing America’s sizable income gap and maintaining a strength and deterrence that are independent of entangling foreign powers.”

Enter turncoat Bill Kristol who has made some very odd attempts at reclaiming his mantle as someone conservatives should care about. First he founded The Bulwark, a website wholly devoted to taking down President Trump after his Weekly Standard went belly up.  Then he left the GOP lock, stock and barrel in reaction to the Senate’s 51-49 decision not to call witnesses in the President’s impeachment trial by declaring himself a Democrat.
What Cap’n Bill seems to be suggesting is conservatives and Republicans should feel compelled to abandon their core principles on abortion, gun rights, taxation, education, climate change policy and any other conservative and constitutional issues simply to get rid of Trump.

This idea that we should hand the entire government over to Toothy McBig Tits AOC and the Squad so Kristol can ride in on the back of Mitt Romney’s horse to reclaim the mantle of conservative leadership is a fevered acid dream reminiscent of Timothy Leary.

From The Bulwark:
“For the good of the country, Senator Romney should run for president as an independent.”

“With the Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders now the frontrunner and the political arsonist Donald Trump as the Republican incumbent, there is a yawning chasm that has never before existed in American politics. By retreating to their poles, our two major parties have left tens of millions of independents and moderate Democrats and Republicans unrepresented.”

The author of this drivel, Neal Simon (no, not the playwright), argues the odds are long for any independent candidate citing the arbitrary benchmark to qualify and access to sufficient capital to launch a campaign.  Simon also points out they lack the name recognition of being affiliated with the two major parties.

Did I mention the Never-Trumpers are dropping acid? “A Romney-Bloomberg ticket would be a first in modern American politics: A bipartisan unity ticket running under the banner of an independent third party.”

Simon says, “It would give both disgruntled Republicans who feel their party has become lost in Trump’s personality cult and Democrats who feel their party is lurching too far left towards a socialist revolution a voice on the ballot that reflects a popular idea of how the country should be run.”

Romney has been disinvited to the 2020 CPAC Convention, he’s been ostracized and excommunicated from the GOP.  Senators won’t sit with him at the lunch table according to Sen. Rand Paul.  He even faced a recall and censure vote in the Utah State House.

Bloomberg is now a prime target for his decades-long record of policy stances and insensitive remarks that have offended entire swaths of the electorate.

Kristol’s notion of Romney as his “savior” is preposterous, idiotic, absurd.
