Can’t Wait To Find Something New On Netflix?

Netflix announced on Monday that it had formed a “storytelling partnership” with the Obamas. The multi-year agreement paves the way for the Obamas to produce anything from scripted series to documentaries and features.
“We hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world,” the former President said in a statement.
Netflix’s content chief Ted Sarandos said in a statement that the Obamas are “uniquely positioned to discover and highlight stories of people who make a difference in their communities and strive to change the world for the better.”
According to Fortune, some Netflix users have complained that the move could turn political and have voiced their concerns. A day after the news was announced many people are still taking to Twitter to say they’re canceling their subscriptions.
For its part, Netflix declined Fortune‘s request for comment on the complaints and instead said it had nothing more to share beyond its statement on Monday. It’s also worth noting that Twitter complaints do not necessarily translate to subscriptions. And since Netflix has 125 million memberships to its streaming service, it’s unlikely the number of cancellations will put a dent in that number.  Hmmm.
It's not the first time Netflix has faced conservative backlash. In March,  The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer’s UN Ambassador Susan Rice joined the Netflix board of directors. Some subscribers were outraged because of inaccurate statements Rice made in 2012 after the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings was critical of President Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. Hastings endorsed Hillary Clinton and said, "Trump would destroy much of what is great about America."  Double hmmm.
Ol’ Jug Ears and the Wookiee’s production company is called Higher Ground Productions.  The screenshot above depicts what the Netsux home page will look like and even predicts what movies the app will recommend if a user watches “Hillary:  The Movie”.  HINT:  Groundhog Day.
If eight years wasn’t enough for you America…welcome to Obama’s Ministry of Propaganda.
A NOTE FROM OUR ATTORNEY:  The screenshot above is a Photoshop™.  Not real.  But then, you knew that unless you’re reading this with your therapy ferret.
