Cunning Linguist Meets With Attorney General For One Of Two Reasons

KNXV ABC15 PHOENIXOn Monday evening serial rapist Billy Jeff Clinton was scheduled to depart from a stop in the Phoenix area when he was informed Attorney General Loretta Lynch was en route to the airport.  The cunning linguist decided to wait for her arrival and the two met privately for approximately 30 minutes on board her aircraft.

Lynch was asked about the meeting during a press conference and she confirmed the meeting did take place.  Lynch was in Phoenix as part of her national tour to promote community policing.  At the news conference held at the Phoenix Police Department, she was asked about the meeting.

She did not deny the meeting took place saying, “I did see President Clinton at the Phoenix airport as he was leaving and spoke to myself and my husband on the plane.  Our conversation was a great deal about grandchildren, it was primarily social about our travels and he mentioned golf he played in Phoenix.”

"There was no discussion on any matter pending before the Department or any matter pending with any other body, there was no discussion of Benghazi, no discussion of State Department emails, by way of example I would say it was current news of the day, the Brexit decision and what it would mean," she said.

I am joining the chorus of voices calling for her to recuse herself from the FBI investigation into the email scandal dumpster fire that continues to swirl around The Sack Of Russet Potatoes With Earrings.

Of course Lynch would deny having discussed the probe with Billy Jeff.  There was a wink and a nod exchanged between the two. After all, Hillary has managed to avoid like the plague being questioned by FBI agents conducting the investigation.

Oh yes, the fix is in.

John Kerry On ISIS Targeting Airports: We Will Shoot Them Full Of Rhythm And Blues

As France was struggling to emerge from the three days of terror surrounding the attack on the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in January 2015, The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer didn't attend a unity march in Paris that was attended by many European heads of state nor did his Secretary of State, John Kerry, who never fails to remind us of his deep ties to France.

After enduring a firestorm of criticism for failing to send a high-ranking official to the rally, Kerry finally made it to Paris four days later where he immediately cemented his reputation as an international laughingstock.

In perhaps the most pathetic diplomatic apology ever enacted without actually saying “I’m sorry,” Kerry offered a “big hug” to a room full of survivors, family members and first responders involved in the Charlie Hebdo massacre. And then he trotted out James Taylor, looking on proudly as the 70s-era guitarist serenaded the shell-shocked survivors with a soulful rendition of “You’ve Got A Friend.”

Yachtboy spoke from the Aspen Ideas Festival Tuesday night laboring to minimize the shootings and bombings at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport.

"It has been more than one year since Daesh has actually launched a full scale military offensive, and that's because our coalition is moving relentlessly on every front," Kerry said.

"Now, yes, you can bomb an airport, you can blow yourself up. That's the tragedy," he continued. "Daesh and others like it know that we have to get it right 24/7/365. They have to get it right for ten minutes or one hour, so it's a very different scale."

Kerry continued, "And if you're desperate and if you know you are losing, and you know you want to give up your life, then obviously you can do some harm."

"We are still collecting information and trying to ascertain what happened and who did it and I won't comment further on it except to say that this is daily fare and that's why I say the first challenge we need to face is countering non-state violent actors, for a host of reasons," Kerry said.

So Clever Aren't You?

One Of These Is Not Like The Other

The Washington Post went out of its way on Friday to portray presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump as “awkward and tone-deaf” in response to Britain’s populace voting in the EU Referendum, known as BREXIT, to leave the European Union.
You may well remember when Mitt Romney spoke out against Trump back in March thoroughly trashing the then-candidate for president.  So, it should come as no surprise that Kevin Madden, a veteran GOP operative who advised Romney during his utterly failed bid for the presidency in 2012 chimed in, “This is an opportunity to showcase yourself as a world leader and as a potential commander-in-chief.  So when the images being seen back home are at a golf course, that’s a missed opportunity.”
Chief Policy Adviser for the Sack Of Russet Potatoes With Earrings, Jake Sullivan, called Trump’s Scottish news conference a “spectacle” that should worry voters.  Sullivan added Trump “put his golf course interests ahead of US interests and failed to understand that American households could be hurt by the BREXIT vote.  Donald Trump has consistently shown disregard for our friends and allies across the world and talked about a weaker, less confident America.  Donald Trump proves again he is temperamentally unfit for the job.”
Oh really?

The decision by The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer to follow the moment of national grief over James Foley’s beheading by retreating to the golf course 7 minutes after his statement, allowing himself to be photographed laughing and having a good time with his cronies, rubbed even partisan Democrats the wrong way.

The outrage expressed by so many is patently absurd and infuriating to me.
WaPo writers Jenna Johnson and Jose A. DelReal must have despised having to report the presence at Turnberry of Mike Ross who was wearing a Trump t-shirt with the message, “Donald Trump Making Ayrshire Great Again,” referring to the Scottish region where Trump opened his golf course and hotel.
“I like him.  I like the way he’s changing politics and the stuffy political correctness.  He’s breaking all of the protocols.  The leave vote was part of that.  People are fed up,” Ross said.

Trump Serve Man

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Remember that episode of the Twilight Zone where the alien with the great big head came "to serve man"? One of the all-time great episodes! Although today, we probably couldn't call them "aliens", we'd have to say something like "undocumented extraterrestrials"!

Anyway, if you will recall, the aliens came to Earth, to eliminate hunger and famine, war and disease, and allow man to live a more pastoral lifestyle. They brought with them a book in their own language, whose title was translated "To Serve Man". Turns out (spoiler alert!) that after the people of Earth had laid down their arms and accepted all of the ministrations of the friendly aliens, they discovered the rest of the book was...a cookbook! "It's a cookbook!" the translator cried, as the aliens were herding members of the human race onto their ship for a "visit" to their planet, where the hapless Earthlings would fulfill their destiny as Trump steaks. One scene that didn't make it past the cutting room floor was the aliens handing out "Make Earth Great Again" hats!

So, I pondered this as I contemplated the meaning of "Make America Great Again". I mean, I know what it means to me and possibly you, but what exactly does it mean to Donald Trump?

Princess Dances With Lies And The Handmaiden Of The Rich

An avalanche of irrefutable evidence has demonstrated beyond any doubt that Elizabeth Warren has no proof to back up her phony claims of Native American ancestry. We learned today that Princess Dances With Lies will join the Handmaiden Of The Rich on the campaign trail.  They will take the stage together for the first time in this election cycle at Cincinnati’s Museum Center at Union Terminal.

Speculation abounds that Warren is on Clinton’s VP short list along with Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and The World’s Most Dangerous Community Organizer’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Julian Castro.

CNN poll which asked voters specifically about Warren found that 34% of Democrats favored her as Clinton’s running mate while 54% said they would prefer someone else.

An ongoing criminal investigation of Clinton’s email server and the corrupt fundraising practices of the Clinton Foundation continue to dog her in the run-up to the general election.

Her rival, Bernie Sanders, whom she vanquished in the primaries, called her out for receiving more than $225,000 a pop in speaking fees to Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Investments, UBS, Bank of America and a host of other Wall Street firms.  He vehemently demanded she turn over the transcripts of those speeches.  Clinton has belligerently refused to do so.  Sanders rightfully insinuated that the Sack Of Russet Potatoes With Earrings is “too beholden to her donors to enact financial reform.”  Ya think?

An investigation from the Associated Press ties those fees to government influence. Of the nearly $22 million Clinton made in fees, most was from groups that had recently lobbied the government.

Well, Princess Dances With Lies has unclean hands herself.  She got $633,000 from the securities industry according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

The big Wall Street bundlers who support the Democrat Party are pushing back at the prospect of Warren as Clinton’s running mate—the thought of these two on the same ticket is unsettling.

There is no honor among thieves.

The word for today is:  WAMPUM.

And The Winners Are…

I must begin our announcement of the winners of the 2016 Paul Revere Award by humbly apologizing to Odd Job who nominated Xenophilic The Return.  Somehow his nomination was inadvertently omitted from the list of nominees.  It was an honest mistake for which I am truly sorry.  I hope a gift card from Amazon will demonstrate how deeply I regret the oversight.

There was strong participation this year in both the nominating process and in the voting.  Some bloggers were only too happy to put up posts on their blogs to help call attention to our efforts to recognize the proprietors of small conservative sites—whose work was filled with “the breathings of their heart”—who fed our souls with laughter, championed the freedom of expression and restored our buoyancy in a troubled world.

Our award honors these bloggers because they, like Paul Revere, were not born to wealth.  They are ordinary men and women who are involved citizens keeping their readers informed of events which may touch their lives.

Revere is credited by the Central Intelligence Agency as the creator of the first patriot intelligence network on record.  An obituary in the Boston Intelligence solemnly noted, "Seldom has the tomb closed upon a life so honorable and useful."

Voting closed at midnight last night.  I kept a screenshot of the final results.  We utilized polling this year to keep things fair and square.

Our elves are now busily engraving the statuettes with each winner’s name.  An email will be sent to the winners with their official badge which they can place on their site if they so choose.

So, without further ado, here are the Top 20 Winners of the 2016 Paul Revere Award as well as our Honorable Mentions.  Congratulations to one and all.  Thank you to everyone who participated in honoring these fine bloggers.

Angela Merkel: Chancellor Of The Free World Minus The United Kingdom

In 2012, hundreds gathered to protest in central Madrid, waving banners and saying "Merkel Go Home" and "No To A German Europe". One Spanish economist who took part in the protest said: “The German financial mafia is taking Spaniards hostage."

In Athens demonstrators dressed up in Nazi uniforms and gas masks. One Italian newspaper, Il Giornale, published a front-page picture of Merkel under the headline “Fourth Reich”. Banners outside the parliament building in Nicosia read: “Merkel Stole Our Savings.”

The Telegraph noted in 2014 that Germany came to the rescue of its weaker European neighbors begrudgingly and with a set of fairly harsh terms.  Many economists saw those terms—an insistence that the debtor countries cut deficits and spending as well as raise taxes—as directly contributing to widespread job losses and a dramatic slump in standards of living in Europe.

Detractors of Germany said many of the austerity measures imposed were avoidable and have, in turn, created a “German Europe”—one where Berlin rules the roost, and uses its economic might to dictate the rules of the game to all others.

A chorus of European capitals, anxious to avoid clashes their own Eurosceptic citizens, stressed that the Brexit vote should be seen as a wake-up call for a Union that was increasingly losing touch with its people. [emphasis mine]

In a brief televised statement, French President François Hollande said the vote would put Europe to the test: “To move forward, Europe cannot act as before.”

The Financial Times dissected the EU Referendum debacle facing German Chancellor Angela Merkel in this way:
Many EU voters share Britons’ antipathy to the Euro bureaucracy.  Germany must play the central role, given its political weight.
There is a problem. Ms Merkel has tackled the four recent challenges—the global financial shock, the Greek rescue, the Ukraine conflict and the refugee crisis—by taking the lead and forcing others to follow.
This has generated intense opposition, for example in southern Europe over German-led austerity and Russian sanctions, and in Eastern Europe over refugees.Ms Merkel has shielded herself with allies. But with the UK leaving, the list of heavyweight partners shrinks. The EU is losing one of its big three states, a country with deep diplomatic and military experience, and a voice for market-oriented deals.
If Germany now starts giving orders even more than it does already, it will be more vulnerable to charges of hegemony.
Merkel spoke at a press conference today expounding on the highly exalted view the Brussels bureaucrats have of themselves saying, “Citizens of every EU member state have misgivings about the EU.  Now it is the task of the remaining 27 members to convince their voters of the benefits that being part of the EU brings.

The Chancellor also spoke of maintaining a “close and fair relationship” with the UK after it leaves the Union. But she also warned Britain that it must respect all its commitments to the EU until the day it officially leaves.

A Free And Independent Great Britain

Founded in 1993, the European Union can trace its origins to the Schuman Declaration formulated by French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman in May 1950.  In the decades that followed, the EU escalated into an unwieldy organization of economic and political power headquartered in Brussels, Belgium with little to no concern for economic freedom, national sovereignty or democratic accountability.  The greedy elites who assumed power cast the economies from Greece to Portugal to France into massive debts, skyrocketing unemployment and dismal economic competitiveness.

Margaret Thatcher condemned the EU as “perhaps the greatest folly of the modern era.”  The Iron Lady was right.  London is no longer English; to wit, the recent election of a Muslim as the mayor of the EU’s largest city.

Demented radical cleric Anjem Choudary, who is facing trial just days from now over allegedly encouraging people to travel to territory controlled by ISIS terrorists, espousing sharia law for Britain and inciting support for the caliphate called for the UK to remain in the EU.

Why would such a sicko prefer that Britain remain in the EU?  He prefers the European Court’s stance on Islamic extremism to that of the British government.  He said, “I think there are certain principles and caveats with EU legislation that should prevent the prosecution of Islamists.”

In 2013, London stood horrified as two radical Islamic terrorists repeatedly stabbed and decapitated a British soldier in the Woolrich section of London.   They shouted “Allahu Akbar” as they clutched the bloody meat cleaver and knife used in the atrocity declaring, “You and your kids will be next.”

Nigel Farage, MEP for the UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party) strongly fought for Britain to get her borders and her sovereignty back from a failed political union that is now a disaster zone.  Farage insisted “the Eurozone crisis was causing human misery on a shocking scale” and was unresponsive to the “many problems in the modern world.”

The air must taste sweeter, this sunny morning…Congratulations on asserting your FREEDOM!

Just Point And Laugh

The 74-year-old milquetoast Socialist made his first public admission that he is unlikely to be the Democratic presidential nominee Wednesday on C-SPAN.

"It doesn't appear that I'm going to be the nominee."

The senator also said he was not being vetted to become the running mate of the sack of Russet potatoes with earrings. “It would be a terrible mistake for her to go to a candidate who has roots from Wall Street or has been backed by Wall Street,” he said.

Sanders added his campaign had been in regular contact with the target of an FBI criminal investigation and planned to push for “the most progressive platform in the history of the Democratic Party,” including planks on campaign finance, health care, higher education and the minimum wage.

The senator also said he expected to address the crowd gathered in Philadelphia next month. “I’ve given a few speeches in my life,” he said. “It would be nice to speak at the Democratic National Convention. If they, for whatever reason, don’t want me to speak, you know, so what? But by the way, I expect that I will speak.”

The progressive political movement emboldened by Bernie Sanders' insurgent campaign of young “Berniecrats” is preparing to "crash" next month's Democratic National Convention, demanding the party establishment take steps to reject corporate influence and reform its nominating process.
"If the Democratic Party wants to put on a $50 million infomercial saying, 'Hey vote for us,' without committing to make this the last corrupt, billionaire-nominated voter suppression-marred election, then we're going to crash the party," said Kai Newkirk, director of Democracy Spring, a nonpartisan activist coalition dedicated to "mass nonviolent action" against big money in politics.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A shuttered Philadelphia prison that was built 120 years ago and once used inmates as test subjects for biochemical research is being readied in case space is needed to hold protesters arrested during the Democratic National Convention.
Tens of thousands of protesters are expected at the July 25-28 convention.

When The Shift Hit The Fan

As someone who originally eyed Scott Walker, Ben Carson or Carly Fiorina at the beginning of primary season only to see them kicked to the curb by voters, I have kept my powder dry until now.

I do not want that sack of Russet potatoes with earrings to be our next president.  No way.  No how.  Period.

Yesterday, everyone who was anyone seemed to pounce on the news that Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski had been fired.

Lewandowski had been “feuding” with Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort since he joined the Trump campaign in early April and most notably with Campaign Spokeswoman Hope Hicks during a public screaming match in plain view of passersby on 61st Street near Park Avenue in Manhattan.

Team Trump has struggled to pivot to the general election.  He must shift his appeal beyond the millions of faithful whose votes got him the GOP nomination.

He has seen his polling drop from nearly tied with Clinton to trailing by nearly six points and his campaign is cash poor compared to the millions the Clinton machine has on hand to destroy him in the general election.

Devastating unforced errors from his attack on federal judge Gonzalo Curiel’s Mexican ancestry to his response to the Orlando nightclub shooting has many souring on his candidacy.

It was Trump’s children though who got his ear and convinced him to let Lewandowski go.  Ivanka told her father that either “he goes or she goes.”

“Ivanka was threatening to distance herself from the campaign if Donald didn’t get rid of him,” a source said. “Ivanka has been trying to get rid of Corey for months.”  Trump’s son Donald Jr. later admitted he and his siblings played a role in getting their father to toss Lewandowski overboard.
If reports that Lewandowski wasn’t getting along with RNC members and GOP officials is true then, perhaps, the much-needed pivot will change the headwinds the campaign has been facing of late.
It’s no coincidence that Shark Week begins next Sunday and the biggest shark of them all is that sack of Russet potatoes with earrings.  Fight dammit,  Fight.  Get a bigger boat.  Win this damned election.

Voting For The Fourth Annual Paul Revere Award Has Begun

A week-and-a-half ago we began taking nominations for The Fourth Annual Paul Revere Award.

Blogger friends Adrienne, Pirate’s Cove, The Right Way and BeforeItsNews helped get the word out and we have a rather prestigious list of 34 small blogs that were nominated.

The nomination process ended at midnight last night and now the voting begins.

I set up a poll in order to keep everything fair and square.  When voting closes on June 25th, everyone will be able to see exactly who garnered the most votes from their loyal readers and blogger friends.

NOTE:  You can choose several blogs.  You may vote only ONCE.

Next Saturday, when the results are tabulated, our trusty minions will get busy “engraving” each Paul Revere Award with the names of the Top 20 blogs.

The winners will be contacted via email to congratulate each of them for their dedication to citizen journalism and will receive their personalized badge to place on their site if they so choose.

I hope the winners will be as honored to receive the award from their peers as I have been in hosting this event for our compatriots.

Best of luck to everyone and thank you for supporting our effort to recognize our friends in the conservative blogosphere.

12:01 AM JUNE 26:  VOTING IS NOW CLOSED.  A SCREENSHOT OF THE RESULTS HAS BEEN TAKEN OF THE FINAL RESULTS.  ANY VOTES CAST AFTER THE DEADLINE ARE INVALID.
